5 shows in a single weekend - I was there (Sat and Sun evening) - an epic experience. Arjen managed to get most of the original cast on stage. They all outdid themselves. I heard they had only a couple of hours to practise together. I was very much impressed by Brittney Slayes. She substituted for Floor and absolutely nailed it.
You said it… they are the best of the best, 26 musicians were at these 5 shows more Rehersal… it was the best experience of my life, travelling from Madrid with my argentinian flag!! Meeting people from all the globe reunited in Tillburg living the acoustics, the shows and all the magic floating in the air…
This is happiness. All family, Ayreon, Epica, Nightwish, Sabaton, Blind Gardian, Wintersun, Within Temptation, etc. etc. And all the artists we see here.
I was there the day this was shot and it was a magical show! The production is insane, the vocalists worked as a team, so outstanding. The musicians were the backbone of it all. The audience came from all over the world.Ayreonauts are loyal! And… this was not the ending of the show. It was the finale of the performance of the 01011001 album. Which in itself was a giant achievement. Three more songs were performed. The final finale was for The Day That The World Breaks Down. What better ending of an Ayreon show… to end with the Beginning! It was indeed an experience I will not forget. Thank you for reacting to it. I hope you will enjoy the dvd. Keep up Ayreon reactions !

No matter what mood you're in...when you listen and see this, you are lifted into total happiness. It is a message of hope, of power, of a beautiful future. Arjen's message is a beautiful one. I can not listen to it without tears in my eyes. Of pure joy. Visiting that show was a lifetime experience.

This show was......... mindblowing!!!!! I preordered the DVD. I'll hang it on the wall in gold. This is a life changer. It is the Pinnacle of prog. By far.
I paused this at 12:35 ; your reaction to Britney is EXACTLY what we all experienced there, the first time she opened her mouth. I saw 3 out of 5 shows and she blew me away every time. I even got to meet her personally at the hotel and helped a huge fan of hers to get a photo with her. After this weekend I went back and listed to everything from Unleash the Archers back to back. What an absolutely amazing vocalist.
This is on my playlist in endless repetition ❤. I've seen them at the matinee on saturday, and it was epic 😍! I pre- ordered the complete package, and I can't wait for the next show!
Saw both shows on Sunday. Although I was physically exhausted, it was, and always is, such a joyous experience. The musicians and vocalists and production and everything are always excellent, and the fans from all around the world really are the best-it's such a supportive community. The energy is always palpable and so electric in the crowd, and even just hanging out and chatting with fellow Ayreonauts at the restaurants/bars next to the Poppodium 13 is rewarding and warming. Metal fans rule, especially Ayreon fans. We know what it's all about. And Arjen is a master, and the best, yet so humble. I always leave these concerts on Cloud 9 with a huge smile on my face. The world is a better place. Complete the circle.
I am a huge Nightwish fan and Wacken 2013 is an epic. But I wasn’t (wish I was). But Ayreon live is a totally different experience. And yes, I’ve experienced Nightwish live and Floor solo live. Thing is, all these shows are zo different, I can’t compare.
If you are gonna be ruined for life, Nightwish at Wacken 2013 is certainly worthy. :) And so is each Ayreon concert weekend cause they are so unique. We should be grateful these moments exist to experience. The absolute pinnacle of Symphonic and Progressive metal.

Have to agree - Brittney was a worthy replacement for Floor. The icing on the cake was her performing Fate Of Man live.
I wasn't lucky enough to be there but we get the recording and I am SO grateful for that!

Enjoyed Saturdays performance. Brittany did a great job covering Floors parts.
Imagine the preparation, many months of getting artists together to rehearse a few songs, in between each and everyone's busy schedule.
