Because they’re good at the game
Yeah, you can outplay easily anyone being a top player
Things change to a surprise for no one when you’re against players of you same skill level
I love people answering the title :)
i really appreciate how positive you try to stay about all of the various weapons and kits and i wish more people had that kind of mindset; just because it doesn't work well for you/isn't good to you, doesn't mean it won't be for someone else
Decoflux having a bad kit makes playing well with it so much more rewarding
I wouldn't call it a bad kit per-se.
It's a weird kit, sure, but there's enough synergy between the Wall and the main weapon for charge times and blocking players from chasing you for a getaway, and the Reefslider gives it an entry tool (albeit a situational and hard-to-use one) and/or an exit strategy.
There's also the zones-cheese aspect - the weapon paints really well, the Special can cap some stages' zones by itself, and Wall buys it time to do both of those, making it an even better "cheese the Splat Zone" tool than Big Swig.
It's a hidden gem of a weapon that people ignored. Faced against the top players with it and I always get one shot more than any snipers.
The best aspect of the kit is that I'm so use to rushing down Reeflux players, expecting them to try to run and pop missiles, that their Reefslider ends up being a jumpscare sometimes.
I agree with the people who replied to me. It's not a bad kit just not something I'd ever use. It has somewhat of a niche in zones for zone cheese or if your getting rushed down and need a quit get away option. I can see top players making this work, just for me personally, not my cup of tea
Rare sight of a Splattuber showing their build at 3:51. Anyways great vid, will probably stick with Missile Spammer Reeflux but nice to know the new kit isn’t trash.
I honestly like the Reefslider/Wall kit a lot for this weapon. It's a *weird* kit, but there's some fun to be had and the synergy isn't quite as bad as it seemed at first glance.
Wall gives you time for charging up, starting up a reefslider, or a barrier to play around for a getaway or a prolonged skirmish. Reefslider gives it something of an entry tool, and while it's hard to use it without getting punished, it does have its moments especially if you can catch people off-guard with it - or you can use it as an exit strategy, using it to retreat to a spot that isn't being camped.
Overall, despite its ongoing lack of a damaging bomb (which would be really good on this weapon), it feels a lot more possible to win fights with this kit than the vanilla kit.
Plus there's the obvious zones-cheese niche for the main and Special, which are *also* both helped by a wall giving it time to do its thing.
Reeflux is so fun, I’ve been playing with it since launch and it’s cool to see it’s finally getting another kit. It can be good as long as you know how to play it properly.
as a stringer main, i played it and immediately had to 4 star it because i could just be a really aggressive stringer and have tons of fun
@@baz00kaboyright? It’s really fun to me!
When you look up “skill” in the dictionary, you’ll find a QR code that when scanned leads to this channel. No matter what.
The way you described the weapon in the end is pretty much how sheldon described the weapon use. For those who like to paint / fire off shots behind a wall and are daring enough to use the reef-slider to pressure enemy team to break formation at weak points.
DUDE be the kinda guy that can sytle on dualies with a reef.
Must be those years as a charger main (I'll get there one day!)
Always the optomist, my guy. Need more of that, even if i have the unfortunate debuff of having a "skill issue".
Edit: that slider/hammer mix was ridiculous
One thing I love about Reeflux Deco more than the original is that the splash wall (if timed and placed right) prevents your opponents from zooming up to you and KO-ing you at close range, which is an area it usually struggles in. It's such a better option to have than the curling bomb, which was completely and utterly useless.
The video definitely proves my point as well. There were so many instances where the wall bought just enough time to charge up the shot to full power, and enough to get the splats as well.
I dont think the new reef lux is bad per se its just SUPER stage dependent, wall and reef slider kinda requires a lack of vertically to be effective mostly
Yes I’m a five star aero spray main and reef is strong you have you be prepared for a fail if you miss you charge forth or find an escape but the moment you die it can be a literal disaster so I really have use my map to my advantage if I feel the map is too open or the team back liner (if they have one) can take me out I will literally main aero the whole game without using it it’s not worth the miss just to die ya know it or I’ll save it for emergency ink people for the most part cannot play without the use of the special but again that’s what it’s there for so it’s a hinder to the pros it’s a hinder to the noobs unless you play really smart or be really confident in your main if you want to bring out the best in it
@@KashoutK4 My guy, have you ever heard of a period? You should try using it.
If there is a firm upside I can see with the Deco kit, it's that makes you think around the main weapon more than the vanilla kit. Vanilla is by all means the better set, but it is a fair bit less committing to the main weapon itself because of its turfing and missiles. In a weird way, Deco's a nice way to force yourself to practice around the main weapon's strengths and weaknesses.
Of course, you gotta get pretty creative with the wall usage. Reef-Lux is very much meant to move around a little and doesn't have the consistent staying power of .52 Gal's wall kit and .96 Deco. -Not to mention it barely outranges a Splattershot at max range- (Scratch that, I totally missed the scale of what that means). As for the Reefslider, yeah...Dude said it best. It's pretty easy to get predictable with it, especially if a backliner's watching.
In any case, I still find myself using the Deco kit to get better with Stringer stuff as a whole. Got 4 stars so far and going decently with S rank matches, not the best performance, but I got some nice splatting streaks here and there. All in all, it does make me wonder if it's the devs' way of saying, "Hey! Play the weapon for the weapon!"
(Final EDIT: Yeah, I totally missed that range means...Whoops...)
"Not to mention it barely outranges a Splattershot at max range."
REEF-LUX has the same range the Splattershot Pro. It outranges most shooters.
Yeah, I dun goofed bad. I don't know how, but I gaslit myself into thinking Splattershot Pro range was kind of bad. I forgot how close the range Splattershot and Pro were. Now that I see it, I can more firmly see where the point comes from.
(Well...that was embarrassing...sorry folks...)
I am glad this prompted me to test it out more thoroughly regardless.
I agree - this feels like it highlights what the intent behind the main weapon was, a lot better than the vanilla kit.
In fact it feels like the devs should have given the vanilla Reeflux the Deco kit, and maybe left the curling-and-missiles kit for the typically "radically different playstyle" third kits.
Another awesome video DUDE; those Reeflux one shots are super satisfying watch 👍
I get the bad weapons but trying to find the pro player
If only "The Reef" stage from Splatoon 2 was here so Dude could have played the Reef-Lux with the Reefslider on The Reef. Alas, we can only imagine.
How do you use almost all the weapons in the game so well?!? You are a "Splat of all Trades"
I actually like reef deco cause wall gives it some openings for more chances to hit shots and a decent way to escape which the vanilla kit struggles with. Reefslider isn’t fantastic but I like funny explosion specials so I’m all for it
"There are no bad guns, only bad players" - Sun Tzu The Art of War
I've learned so much about playing splatoon just by watching this guy
“Imagine being run over by me I don’t have a drivers license” that’s why you ran him over
This proves, this ain't the worst😂
This video made me want to be a reeflux main 😮
Do it, it’s the one of the funnest weapons I swear. You can just be a menace
This may be the worst weapon in the game, but damn its fun to use.
3:40 how did you know where they were?
dude youre like me if i knew had to aim and had better game awareness
You were fragging out in the first game, holy crap
whatever weapon DUDE uses makes him look cool
mfw i'm in a beep beep competition and my opponent is a reeflux:
i genuinely dont think reeflux is the worst weapon cuz it paints so insanely much and even just the potential for ohkos makes it super strong regardless of what sub/special combo it has
when people call reeflux deco the worst weapon in the game, theyre including the sub and special. reeflux deco is JUST the main. but yeah you can do more with it than like. sploosh with wail and beacons
2:27 Wait rly?! didn’t you compare motion controls to driving a car in ur tutorial tho 😂
Doesn’t mean he passed his drivers test though lol
Deeflux can be both: not as bad as many think and the worst. =3
DUDE almost makes me wanna try this weapon... keyword _almost_ lol
Ik im late but im commenting anyway the re fluxe is hard to splat people with but it does coverer more paint
But the octo brush as everyone knows is easy. Very easy. So is the hero shot. My opinions.
To me, this kit feels a bit disjointed, both parts work with the main weapon, but they don't pair well together. (I feel the same about Jet Squelcher's first kit)
my fav splatoon player
Biggest disappointment since neo splash
I think this weapon is only considered "bad" because why would you play this weapon when you can just play the Splash or somn? Lol
Poor flux😭
@DUDE plss do with aerospray
And also a guide on how to use it
Leave some woman for us man
Reeflux deserved better. After playing it for a while, I realized just how bad the kits are for the main weapon. It is such a cool weapon but gets ruined by bad kits.
Honestly, Wall isn't a bad sub for it, but Reefslider is Reefslider and as such is hard to use without just letting it get you camped on.
early people gang
first
You are Bad player
BB◇Paradox. Dude has the most insightful videos when it comes to splatoon. Thx Bro
