Hi Lea! It looks like you do what we do: no tree, incandescent soft white lights, nature-inspired decor, no Santas/elves/and the like, etc. It's so nice and cozy, and I love leaving it ALL up through the end of February (or whenever I'm ready to start transitioning to spring, no rules.). Thanks for your video today!
It is so nice to connect with others who love the natural coziness of the season! ❤️ I have a small tree with lights in my reading nook with some childhood ornaments
I’m about 3 months postpartum. During the end of my pregnancy, I was suffering from pelvic issues. I’d lay down once a day on my side with my older daughter and watch one of your videos in the morning. Then I’d pray and feel so much better and motivated to get up and try. Now the challenges of late pregnancy are behind me and instead, I’m having such a happy time with my children. But I remember seeking your company in a very physically difficult time. Just wanted to share. ❤❤
My goodness. It makes my heart so glad to hear you are in a beautiful season and that we could visit together when you needed it most ❤❤ congratulations on your beautiful baby
I have wondered upon occasion If this is part of the reason I don't get as much video engagement as others in my niche, but this is me and the Little House and I'm so grateful for our home with all its quirks and dust 😅💗 I do appreciate the encouragement so much. Thank you for popping in.
@@LittleHouseOnTheMountain Actually I think it helps you shine Lea! Seeing many cookie cutter homes with the exact same aesthetic is quite boring after awhile. Your home is unique and beautiful because of all the pieces you have found! Just think, in 10 years those homes will have the same vibe as the 70’s decor, 80’s decor, 90’s decor…and be old news. Your home stands the test of time with its own beauty. Our home is also quite eclectic with pieces we have found at thrift and antique stores. I like that it has its own style unlike what everybody else is doing. ☺️
I can’t wait until we can buy a coal/wood stove! It’s so cold already in the mountains of Pennsylvania. My husband is a PO in the city and I try to not waste oil when he’s not home. It runs out quickly! I can’t wait until he can come home to a warm fire! God is so good! ❤❤❤Your place always looks so beautiful! I love sparkles too! We have So Much to be thankful for! Praise God!!
We might be the save person lol! The little women theme comes on and seems to infuse me with seasonal joy,I stand up straighter and grin and feel like stomping through snow in my cape 🥰I am always saying thank you lord for warm showers ,ice in my water,a cozy clean bed,all of it,it comes from seasons of life where I went without any of it,and the understanding many people still do.
Hi Leah, I caught you live today on my day off of work. I am new to your channel and you make me feel so calm in this crazy world we live in. I will be looking back at your past videos to see if I can learn more relaxation and less worry. We’re trying to be more Off Grid with things as an example, gardening chickens, eggs, tinctures, etc. thank you so much. You are so sweet.
Thank you for choosing to be an instrument of the greater kingdom! All praise, glory and honor belong to the ONE who is enthroned over all eternally. May you be filled continually with abundant blessings and joy.
An aunt gave my family the Love Comes Softly series when I was a teenager and eventually many more of the Jeanette Oke books. I loved them SO much that I wore them out! My two younger sisters didn’t seem interested so they pretty much became mine. When I became a young adult I purchased new sets of them all and the ones I didn’t have, and have read through them a few more times. Now at 43, my teenage daughter has inherited my collection and loves them as much or even MORE than me and I’m so thrilled those characters and virtues of faith have become dear to her as well. I remember when Little Women came out in 1994, I was 13 and I knew it would be a movie I always treasure, and I have. My daughter also loves it. You mentioned hearing the first song, and I HAD to come to the comments section and share that we are “a kindred heart” because it’s one of the first songs in my “Wintering” playlist (I don’t really do Christmas songs or decor, I prefer decorating and sinking into “Wintering”.) Enjoy the cozy winter nest you have lovingly and intentionally curated Lea! Fondly, Leah
I had one of those days where it felt like there is not enough hours in the day to get done what I need to get done. 😢 Your videos always bring me a sense of peace and calmness. I will pour myself a cup of tea and start over tomorrow. Thank you for your content 🙏
For anyone struggling with winter blues, magnesium is essential for helping your body naturally produce vitamin D! Love everything in this video, thank you!
I have had a similar alarm clock for about a year now and it has made such a difference on the mood waking up. Who wants to jolt out of bed with loud buzzing?!
Oh no!!! I heard the Little Women music and now I'm longing to watch the movie, but I'm not done the book yet (yearly tradition, lol)!!!! What a good problem to have . 😂💜
Hi Lea ❤loving your cozy videos. Were feeling very “uncozy” as were having a lot of work done in our house 🏡 it brings me joy to be a part of other peoples cozy- thank you so much for sharing 🥰 wishing you all the best for this winter season ❄️ and praying the Lord bless you abundantly 🕊️🕎🔥 xxxx
Lea, I love that you leave your holiday/winter decor up until March 1st. I just might try that as well! I just decorated yesterday and was feeling a bit bummed that Christmas is only 21 days away! Thanks for the idea and inspiration!
Yes! Feb and March can appear visually dull and I love keeping the sparkle up until it's ready to move to spring. If you see it as winter decor and not just specifically for one day, then there's no need to rush to take it down, especially If it brings you some joy.
I actually like all the seasons, except for when we have extreme heat in the summer and bitter cold in the winter. The change of seasons is always something I look forward to.
I saw Old Fashioned Thanksgiving last year…really wholesome and feel good movie! As I imagine those times could be. The 1994 Little Women will always be my favorite, love watching it around Christmas time ❄️ ❤️
❄️ Winter is my favorite season as well, and Little Women, the 1994 version has been my favorite movie ever since it came out.💕 Thanks for the cozy video!
That sweater color on you looks incredible with your complexion! Thank you for this video. I am really struggling with motherhood right now and the thought of making a cozy basket filled with small things to bring pleasure and joy during bleak times is such a genius idea. I adore Little Women!! It’s been so long since I have read it and I want to read it and subsequently her other works which I have not read yet. I grew up with the 1994 film Little Women and so it is instant nostalgia during Christmas time. I love the 2019 version as well (minus a part that is 20 seconds long that I mute or skip) and I love it during Autumn.. I watched it 5 times during Oct/November. I am looking forward to re-reading the book again ❤
Winter blues?? What are those? 😄 I’m with you, I love the winter. It’s a time to cuddle up and rest, enjoy fires, hot drinks, soups, blankets, and good books. I relish in it. The crystal appearance of the ice, and the quiet softness of the snow are so beautiful.
Thank you for another peacful video,,, I too love winter. I live on the western shore of lake Michigan and walking on the beach in the winter is so beautiful
Winter is my favorite season as well. Cozy season. Your winter decorations are beautiful. I have my winter decorations around my cozy little apartment....lots of candles, strings of lights, evergreens, pinecones, and naturally pine-scented candles. And lots of cozy blankets! The Love Comes Softly book series is one of my absolute favorites, along with the movies inspired by the books. I have read through the series many times. And of course there's the Little House book series...a definite favorite, re-read many times. Along with the tv show and movie. Louisa May Alcott's Little Women is another favorite, along with the 1994 movie version. So we are definitely on the same page with winter cozy season, sis. Thank you so much for sharing your cozy home and thoughts. Love you. ❤️
Wow im the exact same every time i have a bath!!! Yes i love this cozy season and especially love soft lights and scented candles 😊im very grateful for your channel and wisdom many thanks and blessings 💙 💚💙
Winter is my absolute favorite time of year! Autumn is my second favorite. Spring is okay, and summer is the worst for me. I've appreciated your channel through the years. Thank you.
We live in North Dakota way up north next to canada! and love it! Kids are looking forward to snowboarding this weekend! We just went ice-skating in -1 degrees. And even STILL sure can always use reminders on how to enjoy winter! 😂❤ love everything you do Lea!
I am a fall girl, but I like winter as well! Spring and summer….lots of work out here on our property! … BTW I just ordered the vacuum sealer…I am looking forward to it! I am also making chestnut purée for friends for Christmas. 😘
Like you, Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons. Fall has a slight edge because our summers in the South are so hot and humid, those first cool, crisp days of fall are so welcome and precious!
Much appreciation for this beautiful and peaceful video...your home is charming! I noticed the oil lamps and recently I picked up a couple at a thrift store...I am wondering what type of oil you use in your lamps? Love and warmth to you from our tiny home in the snowy woods of Canada ❄️
So grateful for your heartwarming and cosy videos and for sharing your beautiful home with us ❤️ I love the 1994 Little Women and I haven’t read the books yet but I love the Love Comes Softly movie series! Looking forward to watching An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving in front of the stove later ☺️ we live in the Scottish Islands so the weather at the moment is perfect for a cosy day in front of the fire watching a good movie!🔥😅
Ahhh I have those very bells sweetheart!!!! As for gratitude, I wear a rubber band around my wrist, to help train me with gratitude. When I feel like I'm getting anxious or angry, or find myself lost in thought of the world and what's going on out there, I grabbed that rubber band and snap it and that's slight little twinge of pain reminds me that my life is pretty darn good, and I need to thank our Lord for all the blessings that He has given me.
1994 little women is my FAV ❤❤!! BEST VERSION EVER! after your recommendation on "an old fashion thanksgiving" from last year, it now is one of our family's favorites as well.. thank you for such a cozy-inspired video! Blessings :)
What light bulbs do you use? I am a HUGE book reader. Recommendations? I loved your teapot so much I bought one from amazon through your link and I have been loving it so much! I’ve done some decorating but not a lot. This is a difficult time for me right now. My mother was put on hospice 2 weeks ago. Prayers are greatly appreciated for her peace and God’s grace for her ❤
Little Women 1994 is my favorite movie of all time!!! And that entire Little Women score is my favorite. My brother surprised me by playing a song from it during my wedding!! 😭 there went my make up! ❤ All the feels! Have you read Marmee & Louisa yet? A good read! I just went to Orchard House again… (I live in MA) It’s the best! Thanks for all you do and many blessings this cozy season!
I don't even know how many times I'm seen Little Women and the soundtrack NEVER gets old. One of the books I want to read next year is the Marmee book! Your wedding??? What a cool idea!
I struggle with SAD but am leaning into the coziness factor this season and trying to practice gratitude more and more. Your videos are such helpful reminders! I have a question about the sunrise clock. I love the idea of it but can’t sleep with nightlights in the bedroom. Can that feature be turned off? I see it’s described as dimmable, but can it be all the way dark until the sunrise feature kicks in?
I need to find this Little Men movie. Have you ever visited Louisa May Alcott's home? I have seen it from the outside, but was going to Walden Pond instead to visit Thoreau's cabin in the woods, but I plan on going back to go INSIDE the house.
We usually do a small celebration for Hanukkah and read through the story. I have many nieces and nephews that celebrate a whole week, and I enjoy sending them gifts 🎁
@@LittleHouseOnTheMountainHi Lea, this is interesting to me as my children take privilege in the feast days and wonder if we were to invite some close friends to make it a fuller gathering if they'd have the same open-heartedness to enjoy them with my children despite opposing beliefs
I have a question and I hope that this isn’t taken in the wrong way. Aren’t wreaths a pagan portal? similar to the Easter egg with pagan roots I always thought it had absolutely no connection to Christianity other than what man redefined to it kind of as an apologetic to keep the pagan practice?
No, I do not think wreaths are a pagan portal. There are no pagan portals at my house. There's some natural decor here and the Holy Spirit. I will not allow the enemy to own nature, something created by God. I am certainly not worshipping pagan gods, making idols, nor opening portals in my house. Flowers, grapevines, evergreens, berries, twigs, leaves, etc belong to their Creator, and I appreciate the beauty that He has decorated all the earth with
I understand the anxiety over such connections; however, I agree with Lea. The Lord created everything, and every day belongs to Him as well. Historically there were pagan cultures who used God’s creation not knowing or understanding the whole truth (though maybe partially). Today, we know. For instance, to me the evergreen symbolizes the eternal life available to us because of the Messiah/Christ. I celebrate Him, and his creation speaks of its Creator and no other. ☺️
Hi Lea, I love you and have been following you and James off and on from the beginning. I know nature is beautiful and I also like to bring it into my home....pumpkins (uncarved) etc. during the fall, but I also thought I recalled hearing something about wreaths?? Maybe I was wrong. But the Christmas tree for instance....you wouldn't set up? Or do you think it's fine? Sorry, just curious. Not tryjng to lay a snare....just trying to understand your perspective. We walked away from christmas, easter etc. 8 years ago and have been learning and seeing the beauty in the LORD's feasts since then. This past Tabernacles was the first time I think I actually really embraced and entered into that 7 day period with great Joy! I know there are lots of over the top 'torah' keepers, but my heart is just to walk in Spirit and Truth! Much Love Lea. ❤ @@LittleHouseOnTheMountain
I wanted to add that Paul’s discussion in Romans 14 may help. 😌 It’s not for us to try to force others to accept/reject certain holidays or activities or food, but to accept one another in love without judgment over such things. He says to be convinced in your own mind, but don’t purposely try to stumble others or get into arguments about it. I always found this helpful. ☺️
@@iwillforeverpraisethee I think it would be extremely helpful for Leah and all of her followers who have watched her all these years if she made a video addressing her past, who she is today and what she believes, so we can all move on and be done with it lol. I know she doesn't like to share personal information, understandably so, but there's at least one person in every video or every other video who is confused as to why she has changed so much. Which, changing is not at all a bad thing. It would just be helpful to her followers and herself to just finally sort of address these changes in a straightforward way, instead of reinventing herself and just sort of pretending those things never happened. If she doesn't do that of course that's fine and that's her choice, but the questions will continue as long as she doesn't mind answering them, mostly coming from older followers who watched her in her ministry days. Me personally, I absolutely loved her head covering testimony. Her entire testimony of coming to Christ was beautiful, but her head covering testimony was also very beautiful and it resonated with sooo many people, including myself. I was a baby Christian when that video came out, and incorporating head covering into my faith was life changing, quite literally, because God was delivering me from spirits of vanity, pride etc. I still head cover almost daily in my walk after 7 years, and still feel very much so that it is God's will for me to continue to do so. I wish that video still existed today. I am happy to see Leah healing from hardships she has been through. It is not easy when you are put on the spotlight for Christ. But in my personal opinion it may be beneficial to her followers and her channel if she cleared up any confusion about her beliefs on the big topics such as Christmas, head covering, makeup, etc., which in themselves are not bad, but only because she taught the opposite of what she does now earlier on, because it leads to confusion for some. Again, these things are not bad of themselves, but it would be helpful if she addressed these changes.

Fondly,
Leah
What a beautiful story. I love hearing how these stories have been passed down through generations. Sending a big kindred spirit hug ❤
I had one of those days where it felt like there is not enough hours in the day to get done what I need to get done. 😢 Your videos always bring me a sense of peace and calmness. I will pour myself a cup of tea and start over tomorrow. Thank you for your content 🙏
You’re so welcome! I hope it helps you start off tomorrow with a sense of peace. 🙏you got this 🙂
For anyone struggling with winter blues, magnesium is essential for helping your body naturally produce vitamin D!
Love everything in this video, thank you!
Yes! Thank you!
I have had a similar alarm clock for about a year now and it has made such a difference on the mood waking up.
Who wants to jolt out of bed with loud buzzing?!
Really need to start focusing on appreciation this winter. Thank you for the reminder.
You're so welcome! Enjoy the cozy days ahead ✨
Oh no!!! I heard the Little Women music and now I'm longing to watch the movie, but I'm not done the book yet (yearly tradition, lol)!!!! What a good problem to have . 😂💜
@@lisas2359 the best problem 😅💝do it!!
You are not alone, Autumn and Winter are my favorite seasons as well. I love everything about the darker and colder, and shorter days.
Yes! Everyone always thinks it's odd that I like the shorter days. The very long bright days of summer overstimulate me or something.
I read the Love Comes Softly series to my teen/tween daughters last year.
We all loved those books! ❤️
They are so inspiring and I love the movie series also ❤️
I saw Old Fashioned Thanksgiving last year…really wholesome and feel good movie!
I am retired, but I get up with the sun….because my German Shepherd is on that schedule…lol…Glad for it
They do help get us up sometimes, don't they? 😅❤
I’m 9 months postpartum and first Christmas with the little one! I love having new traditions! ❤
I'm so excited for you! 💖
I too love winter....one reason is the quiet
Winter blues?? What are those? 😄
I’m with you, I love the winter. It’s a time to cuddle up and rest, enjoy fires, hot drinks, soups, blankets, and good books. I relish in it.
The crystal appearance of the ice, and the quiet softness of the snow are so beautiful.
I love the peacefulness of winter! ❄️
Thank you for another peacful video,,, I too love winter. I live on the western shore of lake Michigan and walking on the beach in the winter is so beautiful
That sounds so serene, I love winter walks too.
Love you. ❤️
I love that you have a cozy little apartment! Sounds wonderful!❄️❄️🩵
Wow im the exact same every time i have a bath!!! Yes i love this cozy season and especially love soft lights and scented candles 😊im very grateful for your channel and wisdom many thanks and blessings 💙 💚💙
The best!
Thank you for the lovely and encouraging video! I am also currently reading "Love's Long Journey" and really enjoying it as well. 😊
Amen!!! So thankful for that hot bath! 🛁
Winter is my absolute favorite time of year! Autumn is my second favorite. Spring is okay, and summer is the worst for me. I've appreciated your channel through the years. Thank you.
Wonderful and cozy video! I love hearing your fire crack in the background. Just a very pleasant atmosphere.🐶🐕🔥🔥
Cozy fires and furry friends are the best combination! 🐶🐕🔥
We live in North Dakota way up north next to canada! and love it! Kids are looking forward to snowboarding this weekend! We just went ice-skating in -1 degrees. And even STILL sure can always use reminders on how to enjoy winter! 😂❤ love everything you do Lea!
- sounds like you are truly embracing it!❤❤
I love winter! 💕🙏🏻😊
Enjoy the cozy season!
Thank you Lea, good advice and I love the basket idea.❤
I am a fall girl, but I like winter as well! Spring and summer….lots of work out here on our property! … BTW I just ordered the vacuum sealer…I am looking forward to it! I am also making chestnut purée for friends for Christmas. 😘
I LOVE winter! Merry Merry Christmas to your family.
and a blessed Christmas to you.
Love this!! I just moved from Boston, Ma to a farmhouse in a sweet small town a couple hours away from the city and I’m happier than I’ve ever been!!
That’s so wonderful to hear! It sounds like such a peaceful change.
I love those bells and want more!! All the vintage bells 😊😅❤
We love you too Lea❤
Always a word in due season. Thank you! ❤
I am so glad you feel that way! Thank YOU
1994 little women is my FAV ❤❤!! BEST VERSION EVER! after your recommendation on "an old fashion thanksgiving" from last year, it now is one of our family's favorites as well.. thank you for such a cozy-inspired video! Blessings :)
Oh I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I don't even know how many times I'm seen Little Women and the soundtrack NEVER gets old.
Your videos are a blessing. ❤
Thank you for the love! ❤️
Thanks for the basket idea. I like it!
You are so welcome! It's one of my favorites 🧺
Prayers are greatly appreciated for her peace and God’s grace for her ❤
You are my favorite you tuber!
That's so sweet and encouraging. Sending you a big hug!
Love this. It is quite cold here. By the way you look particularly beautiful today, your hair and I love that sweater, good color. Thrifted?
Love your channel. ❤
Thank you so much!💞🩵❄️
Little Women 1994 is my favorite movie of all time!!!
Love your advice, and suggestions, and your sweater!
Thank you so much
Hi Lea, Hope you are having a cozy day ❤ The high today at my house is 34°.. burrr 🥶🙏🙌
Yes! A chilly day here too ❄️
Thank you 💗
You are so welcome! 💕
Yes, you can shut the lights off completely
Very edifying, thank you.👍❤️
Thank you for stopping by! ❤️
Thank you! ❤
Lovely and comforting video ❤
Thank you so much! I hope it brought you some warm fuzzy feelings ☕
May I recommend The Greatest Gift by Ann Voskamp. Incredibly beautiful devotionals for the month of December. My second one year reading it!😍
Thank you for the recommendation! I will have to check it out.
Looking forward to this one ❤
I do hope you enjoy it ❤❤
I need to find this Little Men movie. Have you ever visited Louisa May Alcott's home? I have seen it from the outside, but was going to Walden Pond instead to visit Thoreau's cabin in the woods, but I plan on going back to go INSIDE the house.
This is the link to the movie on prime video: amzn.to/4f0Ovli ... I haven't ever been to the house, but would love it!!
Merci pour cette douce vidéo amitiés de France 🇫🇷 ❤
Thank you for stopping by 🩵

Do you celebrate Hanukkah?
