Excellent video Barrie 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks mate
Great video. Just away back to rewatch some of the films again. I remember enjoying Bear Island and Puppet on a chain for the boat chase. The Brosnan one as well. I think I may even have that dvd. All the best
And you sir!
Thank you! I am new to Alistair MacLean, and this really helps to "navigate the waters", if you'll permit, of his vast bibliography. 👌👏👍
I must add, I enjoyed the Bear Island movie very much for the cinematography and the location, and of course, the actors! Also, in spite of all the drawbacks, I liked Dusty Death a lot, it was entertaining and rather well filmed.
He's a great author. There are a couple of books I didn't mention. Some people like Seawitch and The Golden Gate, but I never cared for those two. I'd avoid his final books as he ws a chronic alcoholic by then, and it showed in the writing.
@@thatguyfromcetialphaV Yes. I also don't recall if you mentioned Ice Station Zebra... Maybe I missed it. I read and watched it, and it's what got me into MacLean. What say you?
@@TheMFactor-xx7cl I love that film, I found the book better but the mystery in it was a bit of a non starter, but yeah, I like that film.
fear is the key is really worth your time👍
It's a good one!
I don't know any of these books myself but they sound interesting.
I have a favourite author who's books I have collected since my teens. I might just cover them one day.
Thanks Barrie
go for it, i'd be up for watching that :)
Some nice choices there mate
