But while sandstorms and Shadowy Auras are not weather (despite being weather effects, ones which Castform ignores), I don't think anyone would debate that "foggy" isn't weather, and especially not "strong winds". The Leader's Crest is the important part. It just only spawns on Bisharp that are leading a group of Pawniard and lone Bisharp will never have one while leader Bisharp always will. If you could somehow force Bisharp holding Leader's Crests to spawn without the Pawniards, you'd still be able to evolve your own Bisharp by defeating them.
While watching this I was right there with the guy insisting all moves are attacks But it seems the original term in Japanese does translate to 'move' and then physical attacks are 'attack technique' and special attacks are 'special technique' But but! The translation of 'move' differs by language, with a hefty number of them using 'attack' instead. There's also the fact that in battle, the options are Attack, Bag, Pokémon and Run. This implies everything under 'Attack', the moves themselves, are 'attacks'... So... He's wrong, but he's also right!
This was a great episode. Although I still have no clue how the first alphabet category works. Could you assemble a pokemon jeopardy agency edition with blunder, joey ctc, suave and sama if you want to include 5 participants? I know it's gonna be tough to align the schedules, but it would be a banger.
OBJECTION! I do not believe the question used in the thumbnail is correct. While Water Shuriken does have the lowest direct base power of any priority move, it also hits at least two times, so its effective BP should be considered to be 30+. However, there is another priority move with an even lower base power. Feint has a BP of 30 and only hits once, so it should take precedent as the true weakest priority move.
to be fair, in the pokemon world, saying move and attack means the same thing, which is why i never say "attack" i only say "move" and so i can easily make the distinction between attacking move and status move. Strictly speaking they are correct tho.
@user-ii4nm6fk7x you use the nato alphabet when you're communicating with someone and trying to spell something out (like your name over the phone for an appointment )B might sound like V so you say Bravo not B. So if there was a pokemon with Bravo in its name that could be an answer
Some feedback: It could be argued that since water shuriken is a multi-hit move, its base power is effectively 30 or more, depending on how many times it hits. Its base power per hit is also increased to 20 and guaranteed to hit 3 times when used by Ash-Greninja, which makes it functionally 60 base power. Therefore in practice, feint is functionally the weakest non-status priority move with a set base power. The Whimsicott one is technically inaccurate since Whimsicott has abilities other than prankster and its ability was not specified. For multiple clues, the contestant (Moxie) did not answer in the form of a question but was given the points anyway.
@@WingVII That was added information. ie they said it's the weakest multi-hit move, and then the extra information about it only being learned by two Pokemon was phrased in a way that it functioned as an extra hint, with the clue overall being phrased such that the first part should be accurate by itself.
@@mikec4390 it is still accurate in itself ? you added extra information about ash greninja and saying it is a multi hit move. the base power of the move doesnt change if a move is multi hit.
@@joseruiz759 The ability description for Battle Bond in that gen explicitly states that it changes the base power of water shuriken to 20 and makes it guaranteed to hit three times. So the BP DOES change in the case of Ash-Greninja, not because it's multi-hit, but because GameFreak decided to have the ability/form give a buff to specifically that move.

The Leader Crest isnt required to evolve Bisharp into Kingambit, you just need to beat 3 Bisharps that are the leaders of their packs.
Those leaders have to be holding Leader's Crest, though it's a moot point as iirc they are always holding one if they spawn in as a leader of a pack.
The Leader's Crest is the important part. It just only spawns on Bisharp that are leading a group of Pawniard and lone Bisharp will never have one while leader Bisharp always will.
