Walter Doyle's 1931 composition played on my restored 1927 Kimball console using Hauptwerk and the Paramount 341 virtual theater pipe organ sample set.
Al … I just recently came across your videos of “Egyptian Ella” and the second called “Two Walter Donaldson Tunes”. I must say that your playing is spectacular and needs more exposure. One of my favorite tunes is “Hindustan”, composed by Oliver Wallace and Harold Weeks in 1912. I’ve heard this, primarily on piano, but never on an organ. Should you ever have time, I would love to hear your rendition of this piece of music. If needed, I have the music, in PDF format, and would be happy to send you a copy. Keep up your spectacular work.
Wow, this is absolutely fantastic. I see you posted it many years ago, and only have one other video. I hope you are well, and would consider uploading more videos. It sure would be nice to hear you play more.
Thanks Dave, I'm happy that you found it entertaining. Bringing the console back to life took me 4 years of full-time work and has proven to have been worth it.
i GET A KICK OUT OF THIS!! Love that piano LH. Tell me Walt, did you do any dubbing? I hear a counter melody that sound like maybe a diapason? I can't see your fingers making that tone. Maybe it is second touch, I am big on counter melody notes as I use these as pivot points playing the cord. Probably nothing new to my fellow VTPO'ers though. Best Dave
BTW: I am reading VOS ATOS and we lived in Scottsdale Az 20 years ending in a move to CA (Grass Valley) 2001. Wonder whether I have the right Al?? Surely enjoy your pleasure on that instrument!!
I miss "Old" Al Young!
I listen to Al playing Egyptian Ella once again and it just reminded me of how much I miss him. I am so happy that he left this memory for us.
Nice console great sounds coming from paramount 341!

No dubbing, Dave; I played it straight through. Accomp second touch is Tuba and Open Diapason.
By the way, Walter Donaldson is the composer, I'm Al.
Great. I am picking up some of your style as I hear some of your other pieces. Love that solid base!!
