- In a moment that I feel overwhelmed and unable to carry on, the Lalande Christmas elves stay up all night to cheer me up. Christmas cheer returns to the chateau and I'm able to tackle Christmas cocktails and festive Scotch eggs!

Phillip is such a sweetheart, ably abetted by two more kind and creative men. Always love the vibe when Michael comes home to the chateau.

Keep going Stephanie let the team help you. No reason do do it alone. Christmas is about receiving as well. I use to give out beautiful rocks when I was younger and with no wallet. Folks loved them cause it showed I was thinking of them. I still do it today, enjoy the small things,even if it is just a rock

I did something similar. I collected rocks and shells from my favorite beaches and made little memory jars for some family members

I am no a regular in the comments as I like to watch your videos and just enjoy seeing you all.
However, you and your videos have blessed so many of us around the world during the lockdown and Covid situation.
To see three people do something to lift you up and restore your smile just had me in tears as did reading the comments.

Thank you for your gentle reminder of the cost of pushing too hard for too long, Wendy. Have also been thinking about how Steph ended up in the hospital a year ago. There is nothing the Lalande team cannot accomplish together. They've proven that time and time again. They will help Steph get through this safely. If she lets them. Stephanie, I know it's bad news and seems too much to go on but you have devoted the last 15 years of your life to saving it and have made it sooooo beautiful, go on and walk in faith that there are solutions all along the way and pray.

Stephanie, I'm so sorry about the bad news of severe structural issues in both the chateau as well as the chapel! I wish I had means to contribute to restoring the structural soundness, however, as a senior citizen on a fixed income, I do not at this time. Prayers things hold together long enough to get reinforcements together. So happy for you to have such caring and artistic friends surrounding you with love and support! After all, the Christmas Child that we celebrate in this season is the purest example of "LOVE" personified. Kindness and creativity seem to go hand in hand at Lalande. Always someone/s to do some cheering up when one of the group is "down". Nothing seems to dampen the spirit that constantly rises to the fore, and surely, solutions will be found to the just-discovered problems that periodically plague old houses, old buildings - by their very nature, subject to significant and oft inconvenient care & repair. It will happen. Will turn out all right. It is after all, a time of year in which we demonstrate our faith. More and more, I witness Lalande drawing to her, the very people who are destined to protect and keep her. May it continue to be so.

I felt in my bones that you would show a tree decoration video today and finally woke up before the rain to get all my Christmas decorations out and decorated my tree partially while watching this video. Brings me such joy. I’ve enjoyed you’re videos since the start of the pandemic and will be joining patrion today to help how I can with the issues going on. I’m so thankful for how your channel has helped me find joy is the past few hard years. I’ve also made my house into a home I love and feel joy looking at it with the inspiration from you. Just think how beautiful that room will look with that tree when it's painted that dark purple you hope to point it! Next year maybe? Painting that room might be a fun winter project to get your mind off things.

I made bows for our tree when my kids were young. They were beautiful. The tree looked beautiful, I had all matching decorations and the rapping paper matched it too. His gifts were one color and her's were a different color.

I am a solo mumma to 5 children 14 years to 4. Last year we were homeless, the year before that we had just moved house (3 days prior)
I have been able to really decorate this year. Love seeing all the pretty things!
