Very awesome content guys! Great quality video and its immensely interesting to see how and what types of mushrooms are grown in Thailand. Can't wait to see where y'all go to next.
Can’t believe I’m just getting around to watching this, but awesome content! I would love to see more like this. Side note- my husband and I lived in Thailand one year. It was wonderful- beautiful country and beautiful people. We loved it!
More to come! One of our videographers on our content team is heading to Portugal this month to do a video on a cool mushroom farm in Lisbon. Stay tuned!
great video! Thank you so so so much for making this and sharing with the world. My wife and I are moving to Pai (northern thailand). This has given me massive inspiration to start growing mushrooms there for our family and friends. Currently we live in subtropics australia and grow oysters. Thanks again and I hope the best for your future in growing mushrooms.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Congrats on moving to Pai! I didn't make it there but it certainly sounds lovely. Chiang Mai Organic Mushroom Farm produces spawn for sale and I'm sure they would help you get started
thanks @@NorthSpore . when Covid eases up enough hopefully we will still get over there. Also Ive just harvested my first batch of pink oysters. there so yummy crumbed and fried! looking forward to all your new content.
@@Papa_Shred Did you make the move to Pai? I genuinely used to daydream about moving to that idylic little town some day. When I taught at university in Chang Mai I'd spend long weekends there.
This video is very inspiring, plenty of good information and ideas to learn from it, also, the video quality and the editing are nice! Loved the contrast between low tech and high tech farms, thank you guys. @North Spore did you get to do the research on corn husk in wheat straw?
great video, Thank you for sharing this one, just found it, gives me alot of good information, my neighbour has many Banana trees (I am sure he would not mind parting a smaller one for me), gives me great info on how to start here in Southern Thailand, with a limited budget... Also I think next time I am in Bangkok I know where I want to go for a tour :) ..... lots to learn but looking forward to getting started in a week or 2 with my first experiment
what exactly is your main substrate for the cordyceps? so what is all in there have the strain at home now and would like to get everything I need soon
Thanks for watching! I don't have the exact recipe for Cordyceps substrate used in this video- it also incorperates ingredients hard to find outside of SE Asia such as dried silk worms. That said, we did produce a step by step walkthough on cordyceps cultivation with William Padilla-Brown which has an ingredient list. Also on our blog on our website we have that same step by step guide.
halu! new subscriber here in the Philippines! when you planting straw mushroom spawn on the rice straw substrate what did you put in the water before you plant it in the basket?
When it comes to medicinal mushrooms, there are two types of Cordyceps that are important. Namely, Cordyceps sinensis and Cordyceps militaris. The most famous of these, Cordyceps sinensis, does actually grow on insects.
I really want to cordyceps mushroom cultivation, I am an Indian and I don't have mushroom Market, I want to export cordyceps mushroom Can you suggest me how can I export
Hello! Unfortunately, we do not sell cordyceps spawn and we are unable to ship cultures, spawn, kits, or sterile substrates to countries other than Canada. We are hoping to have a solution to international shipping soon so please check back in in the future. We're so sorry for any inconvenience this causes!
This is way too good for just 11k views! I was entranced for 16 full minutes
Thanks for the kind words! It was a lot of work making that video. Hope more people watch it in the future!

You definitely can grow mushrooms in Indonesia! Are you able to source spawn in your area?
North Spore I am surveying now and need help to find for the right vendor to source the right species for tropical climate. Maybe you can assist ?
