The Holt is so beautiful, I had no problems backtracking in the level if I missed something. I just enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the landscape and admired the scenery.
This sounds so corrupted and scary and horrifying simultaneously
Even in ruin, Urdak still looks beautiful.
Ruined Urdak is way prettier imho
Very fitting (and true).
I thought at first I didn’t like The Holt soundtrack but it has been slowly growing on me
same tbh, i really didn’t care much for this level’s bgm much at all , but recently that part of the heavy combat bgm at 6:36 has quickly become one of my favorite parts of the entire game’s ost ,,,
i kinda like it more than urdak's ost
Yeah I feel like with all the Urdak levels the music kind of focuses more on being more atmospheric rather than more metallic which I think is still cool
urdaks theme in the main campaign and in ancient gods takes the definition "corrupted paradise" to a whole new level
The title is one of the sickest I have ever heard
Doom game rip mixers are always making fantastic titles. Even if I don’t particularly like the mix I find myself still listening to them for some reason because their titles are so badass.

Mr Levy comments on videos often, but mr Hulshult doesn't do it that much

Before I kinda didn't like this track as much as the others because it wasn't as heavy and stuff, but now I kinda like the feel the start of the heavy fighting gives with all the glitchy sounding stuff. It makes it feel properly like urdak has been destroyed by the demons.
The Holt is so beautiful, in a somber sense...
Also... I can't help but feel sorry for the Makyrs.
But they got what was coming to them. ✊

Love the use of the urdak ambience from the main campaign
In 6:39 the sphere on the right is Earth (you can see the Indian subcontinent and Indochina next to it, as well as the Himalayas). Probably one from a different reality, since this one is destroyed. Maybe Valen was correct when he said that the humans defended by the ARC aren't his people? What if Doomguy's planet was destroyed and he's unknowingly fighting for the people of a different Earth?
It's probably nothing in all honesty, Hugo was asked that question and he said it's not really meant to be anything during one of his streams, I'd imagine they just used the assets they had like the Earth from the Doom Fortress hubworld. After all, the Maykrs were running many different experiments and creating their own worlds and maybe even species so I think it's just another destroyed planet inside Urdak.
When does Valen say that by the way?

Even if he did say that though, it's well known that the Slayer comes from an alternate Earth and that he ended up in this dimension, in Sentinel Prime I believe, that is confirmed.

@@Crowgale well, the ambience doesn't play during fights but I get what you're saying.
The dlcs also have issues with their music, it's usually too silent compared to the sound effects and dialogue

Turned all UI elements off from the menu and just recorded away. A lot of it involves finding good vantage points by abusing things like the ballista
