Lovely capsule! I particularly liked the skirt and slacks - they fit really nicely all over, but the back, which is often difficult to get a nice, smooth fit, is excellent - very classy. 😁
Really enjoyed this video Whitney. Love that coat and thinking it might have to jump to the top of my list. Also really like the pants, and the blouse, in fact everything. I’d also love to see a holiday look book and may be a little tutorial on the jeans? A casual capsule also sounds good! I know you’re a professional so any tips greatly received! 👍😀 x
Thank you, Elaine! A holiday lookbook would be fun! Were you thinking holiday party clothes? I actually have some occasions for a few holiday outfits so that would be fun! I can also totally do some jeans in the next capsule.
TomKat Stitchery yes holiday party clothes sounds awesome, we are going away over Christmas so some dressing up may be required! I keep procrastinating the ginger jeans even though I can probably do them, it’s just the thought...do you sell your makes? Have a website? It’s something I want to get into. Also like your fabric choices which I suppose comes with experience. 👍x
Elaine Bridge a holiday lookbook sounds fun and I’ll put it on the list! I no longer sell my makes. Up until earlier this year I did custom clothing for clients and alterations, but stopped doing that just this summer! I do have a website if you’re interested: www.Tomkatstitchery.com.
TomKat Stitchery love the website. I watched Lisa Kisch video when she interviewed the designer of Simones Rose, Michelle. It inspired me to start an online shop. I haven’t done it yet, but your videos have made me think again! Capsule wardrobe is such a trend right now. Looking forward to more vlogs 👍❤️ thank you xx
Elaine, if you have a passion or even an inkling of a passion, do it!!! Have you listened to Mimi G's new podcast? If not, then I highly recommend a listen. I believe you can also watch the podcasts on her RUclips channel as well. It will definitely light a fire. I'm a firm believer in trying new things or ideas until you find that one right thing. Good luck!
I agree on invisible zippers, they do not lend themselves to crossing seam lines. I was discussing this with another person who sews and they denied it as a problem, but even in RTW they don’t go smoothly. Also, I just don’t like back zippers, feel like a contortionist trying to get into them!😸
Yeah, there’s that I! I usually move the zipper to the side. I actually prefer a fly front zipper even though it gives up some smoothness of line. Part is just what my eye has gotten accustomed to. I think that is a lot of fashion, what our eye gets used to seeing. 😀
Capsule wardrobes are totally my jam and you do them so well! Thank you so much for sharing - I love seeing how you have styled all the pieces. i would love to see your travel wardrobe in action as well as any of the other suggestions you had.
Loved your capsule collection! The coat was "da bomb". Would love to see your interpretation of MiMi G and your vacay styles. Thank you! I am inspired!
Beautiful makes - and I just LOVE that coat and really keen to see any tutorial on how to line it as it being unlined was the one thing that put me off. Really enjoying your vlogs and would love to see another capsule - either Mimi G or Closet Case would be of interest to me. I so appreciate the chance to learn of others on You Tube and it's great to learn from your sewing experiences.
That is also one of my favorite things about the RUclips platform. I love both being inspired by all the talented sewers out there and seeing different ways of doing things!
Absolutely fabulous Whitney!! Every piece was simply beautiful and stunning on you! The coat may be my weekend project! Love it!!! A holiday capsule would be exciting! Enjoy Florida! Eagerly awaiting your next video!!
I love those Camille trousers. May I ask what fabric you used and where you bought it from. I’m the same height and colouring as you and like the same colours! Really enjoyed your capsule wardrobe. I’d love to see some Mimi G patterns as a capsule.
Of course! It's a wool/nylon crepe that I purchased from Fabric Mart Fabrics (their online shop). I have no idea if they have any more, but they are ALWAYS running fantastic sales (like 60% off the already lowered price). I would definitely subscribe to their email list. They are hit or miss with their selection, but when you find something good, it's a great value for money!
Hi, love your outfits especially the skirt. Would enjoy any of the Indy patterns. Having much better fit with them. In my elder years I have discovered I have narrow shoulders with a large bust. Find your tutorials and info very helpful.
Love all your makes. That green colour is amazing on you. Great collection. Would love a independent capsule wardrobe and the packing video and holiday look book. Xx
Hi again Whitney, wow....you are amazing with all that you have made and I loved them all 😍. I think you would love to see Rachel's video on her capsule wardrobe from Stitched Up. She has made the same things as you but with different fabrics of course, so great to see the comparison 👌. I want to make that lovely Dana blouse, especially now I have seen yours and a few others.... right up my street 👍. Everything looked really smart on you and the coat.... gorgeous and so easy to wear and throw on and loving the fabric 💞. I would love to see anything by Closet Case or Mimi G, as I'm a fan of both and I would love for you to do a video of your wardrobe on your hols... again.... Rachel did a video recently of her holiday wardrobe and some of the scenery...which was so great to see so would love to see a snippet of yours👍 😀. Thanks so much Whitney and enjoy your lovely holiday 🍹😁😘
Hi, Sally! First, thank you for the tip on Rachel’s channel. I don’t follow her so am now headed to check that out! I’m so glad you’re finding the videos useful and thanks again for watching!
Your capsule is fab - and the coat turned out brilliantly. Either capsule would be fab - and a big yes to 'what I wore' in Florida. We're off on vacation next week to Corfu so sewing like crazy atm!!
Thank you for sharing Whitney. Just found your channel and I am so enjoying it and all that you are so willing to share. I will be definitely be a constant viewer. Great job!
Hi Whitney, love your entire SOI capsule! Everything pairs together beautifully. The coat 😍 I'd like to see you create a MimiG capsule and because I'm in Florida, it would be fun to see a holiday capsule, too. Happy sewing!😊
You look amazing in all your new makes, loved this video! Would love an independent capsule wardrobe (especially Closet Case) and a vacation wardrobe video. Keep 'em coming, please!
Thank you! I think doing some Mimi G patterns would be fun since it’s kind of a mix of big 4 and independent! I’ll take a look at my current patterns and make some decisions this week. Thanks for watching!
Love your videos, you are my new RUclips crush))) You did such a great job, a capsule collection of dreams! I can't even pick a favourite, it's like they just have to all exist together. I'd be interested in both Closet Case and Mimi G for another capsule.
Awww, thank you Alexandra! I’m so glad you’re liking the videos! In all honesty, I’ll probably end up doing both capsules, but it’s good to have some direction as to which I do first! Stay tuned and thanks for watching!
It didn’t break, but I get my underwear stuck in the zipper every time I wear them 🙄. I would make them again, but will move the zipper to the side or make it a front fly.
I like your Anna trench. In general I haven't been real impressed with the versions of the I've seen. It seems to need more structure than most of the fabric choices I've seen it done up in. Yours in wool with a lining has plenty of body and it looks great. Love the green pants- wonderful!
Love all your makes Whitney! I'd love to see a Closet Case files capsule for sure - I have several of Heather Lou's patterns and love them. I made up the Kalle (did you make that one?) and tried an fba that was a total fail. I should have consulted her tutorial FIRST but of course thought I'd just be a smarty pants and do it myself and well that was a lesson in hubris! I love your skirt and pants - shaping and fit on both was wonderful on you.
Thank you, Kathleen! I have made the Kalle, but it didn’t end well. It was the length that got me in the end. I made it too short as a top so it went to live in my daughter’s closet! Those grown on sleeves make FBAs a little trickier for sure!
Feeling Crafty just do it! Choose a pattern that has a helpful sew along (closet case patterns and grainline studios both have FANTASTIC ones) and just take it step by step. Once you’ve made one, you’ll never go back 😉. It’s a very satisfying make!
Love the skirt and the whole capsule. They all look fantastic on you.
Thank you, Joanne!
Lovely capsule! I particularly liked the skirt and slacks - they fit really nicely all over, but the back, which is often difficult to get a nice, smooth fit, is excellent - very classy. 😁
Thank you so much!
Great video. Loved all your makes. 👍🇨🇮
Thank you!
I love your trousers and Anna coat. Look great on you.
Thank you so much, Sarah!
Super cute! I am glad I found your channel.
As am I! Thank you for watching!
The pants are great and very flattering style
Thank you, Anne!
This is your best color. Bottle green.
Well, thank you!
so lovely makes and I love the colors!
Thank you, Jayne!
Looks great, agree on the zip just stop before waist next time or if you have to fix these later.... thanks for sharing
That is exactly my plan for next time. I just finished a skirt and did it that way. It seems to just work better! Thanks for watching.
The green pants look really nice on you!
Thank you!
I love your entire capsule wardrobe. So nice to see how the pieces work together so well. The colors are perfect too. LOVE the green trousers. 👏
Thank you, Kerry!
Green pant👍
Thank you!
I would like to see a video of what you wore on holiday.
There is a vacation round up on the channel! Thanks for watching!

Not to mention the issue with zipping your undies up in the back!

All your makes are so inspiring. Inspires me to go and sew right now. I'm so glad I found your vlogs.
Thank you, Cecilia! I’m glad you found me as well!
Capsule wardrobes are totally my jam and you do them so well! Thank you so much for sharing - I love seeing how you have styled all the pieces. i would love to see your travel wardrobe in action as well as any of the other suggestions you had.
Thank you, Tonia! They are really fun to do and my brain likes sewing this way as well! Stay tuned for a travel wardrobe video after we get home!
Loved your capsule collection! The coat was "da bomb". Would love to see your interpretation of MiMi G and your vacay styles. Thank you! I am inspired!
Thank you so much, Joy! And stay tuned. Both of those videos will be coming your way!
You look so fit and trim! Love the makes. The coat will be a good fashion forever.
Thank you for sharing! I would love to see a Mimi G capsule wardrobe😁💕
Great! Thanks for responding, Kristie!
I love everything- especially those pants!
Thank you, Meg. They are a favorite of mine as well!

Thanks, Teri! Also, yes to the coat. Its a pretty quick make considering it's a coat!

Every piece turned out beautiful ❤️
I love the fabric you used for the Dana blouse. Can you tell me what the content is and where you got the fabric? I love that top!
Thank you! It’s a rayon from Stonemountain and Daughter.
Hi, love your outfits especially the skirt. Would enjoy any of the Indy patterns. Having much better fit with them. In my elder years I have discovered I have narrow shoulders with a large bust. Find your tutorials and info very helpful.
Crafty Crone I’m so glad! Fit can really make or break your sewing, in my experience. It’s such a journey!
Love all your makes. That green colour is amazing on you. Great collection. Would love a independent capsule wardrobe and the packing video and holiday look book. Xx
Thank you, Lucy and thank you for weighing in on future videos. I am adding those all to the list!

I love the collection! that coat is fabulous. I'd really like to see a big-4 capsule as there are so many reviews of CCP.
Thank you! I think doing some Mimi G patterns would be fun since it’s kind of a mix of big 4 and independent! I’ll take a look at my current patterns and make some decisions this week. Thanks for watching!
Well done! Looks great! This is also on my (every growing!) list....

Did the zipper ever break on the green pants? Would you make these patterns again?
It didn’t break, but I get my underwear stuck in the zipper every time I wear them 🙄. I would make them again, but will move the zipper to the side or make it a front fly.

Thank you, Jenny! I do agree that a proper trench needs the right amount of body!
Love all your makes Whitney! I'd love to see a Closet Case files capsule for sure - I have several of Heather Lou's patterns and love them. Good job!
They all look great! Do you know how much lining you used for the anna trench coat?
Thank you, Ellen. I believe around 2.5 yards.
Fab! Absolutely love the coat! I need to work up my courage to make a coat. It’ll be a first so 😱
Feeling Crafty just do it! Choose a pattern that has a helpful sew along (closet case patterns and grainline studios both have FANTASTIC ones) and just take it step by step. Once you’ve made one, you’ll never go back 😉. It’s a very satisfying make!
Whoot....whoot from the Midwest!
Can you tell me the pattern for trench coat? Thank you, Kelly
It’s the Anna Coat from the Sew Over It Work to Weekend ebook. It’s a lovely coat!
