Only after 15 months, I have managed to push one hero to the max and it's due to the most recent season event. I usually spend no more than 7$ ( 5+2 pack during x4 ) on the game monthly.
Luckily I haven't spent a dime on the game. Been playing a year and a half and I'm in a gold guild. Only gotten one absolute star from a pull, the pet Biscuit a few weeks ago. Before that I got a totem on an accidental gem pull. Cleaver is the only hero I don't have, but not too worried since he's not that great.
There's no specified bad luck protection on Cleaver in regard to the heroic chest, nor with the 100X multiplier on emerald exchange, but there is a bad-luck protection chart for the titan totems at the elemental spheres
Such kind of games do not request skills but money. Free to Play gamers can still enjoy the game just 4fun while commuting either seating on a train. Yet, hero wars attract new players with trailers and advertising faraway from what the game really is (fake footage).
Seriously, heroic cheats are not worth it. Only pulled them to fulfill daily/weekly special requirements(almost always have to do it on day 7 of each season when the chest hero quest comes up😔).
Cleaver isn't that good, the only special for him is he starts at fullstar soulstone, if you have a good combination of heroes you can defeat this most expensive hero, Just create a 4 to 5 teams with great synergy and you can win the battles even if you are underlevel and under ranked by your opponents, in my experience none can defeat me if we are same level or ranks coz I create good combination heroes Imagine I am beating level 110 by my team level is only 86 and under powered by 100k to 200+ in grand arena, each heroes has strength and weakness, just wait for the cut off time before attacking to secure high rank at grand arena and get the reward, in whole day defending your rank you will be beaten by strong opponents I end up rank 20+ but when the cut off is near I choose opponents wisely at top 5 l, and in final results almost all of the top 20 are level 120 and my level 86 got the top 5
@@herowarsstuff5131 exactly my point, but if you have that thousands of dollars to pay for buffing you can hit the max level at orange+4 rank or even level 130 at red rank But if you budget your money you can get there slowly, my other account is level 120 now at orange +2 rank but I only hit the top 15 to 20 depends on the day

This is anecdotal at best. I have been playing the same account on mobile for 6+ years and have spent several thousand dollars yet STILL do not have Cleaver. I stopped watching this once you past the 40k emeralds mark. The poor drop rates in this game is why I no longer spend money on it. I play strictly f2p now, and actually have more fun.

TLDR: play 2 win I'll tell you something though: cleaver isn't living up to the 'hype' by a long shot. aurora and rufus are much better tanks. rufus is the most popular tank on defensive in the current meta for a reason. Thus don't pay to get cleaver 😉

You spend 64800 emeralds to get this stupid hero? Most of the champions of Arena use other tanks and there is no problem at all. Some people spend their money like sand. I guess you have enough money to burn it in winter instead of wood.
The reason I wanted Cleaver for this account was cos this is my budget account and thus I wanted to focus on as little heroes as possible. Since we all need to build the Osh team (isaac, jhu, nebula, sebastian, martha; or don't build that team and miss out on Asgard rewards) I decided that Cleaver was the best choice of tank. Jhu gets easily countered by Martha and Martha is everywhere. Cleaver is the only tank that negates that. Cleaver pulling Martha to the front opens up the back for Jhu. Also... not my parents money, I'm a parent myself 😉
