- Beautiful Birds made from Vintage Cutlery - part 2
Part 2: I mount the birds around a heart shaped slice of Ash, constructing a 'leafy / branchy' stainless feature that wraps around the central wooden piece.
Each bird consists of :
1 grapefruit spoon, 1 soup spoon, 2 dessert spoons, 1 teaspoon, 3 forks, 7 patterned handles, including Oneidas classic 'Cantata' design.
Mig welded and made from 100% reclaimed & repurposed materials. Finished with dark oak danish oil.

Beautiful work👍
John, you have a really good eye for natural form; people don't realise how hard it is to replicate natural growth in metal (or plastic, plasticine etc) and you have the art down to a T. Great job... but I want some leaves!
(OK, I guess they're in Part 3?)
Rare! Silver throated thrushes! Very few to be found anywhere in the world. cheers!
this one slipped under my radar ,
nice work
You should do a couple of close up photos at the end when it is hanging on a wall. Top notch work.
Outstanding skills & attention to detail. I just love your build from scratch watching the plan in your head come to life as these pieces of cold steel come together. .. 👋👋
Thank you for sharing John. atvb t .. 👍
