I am a fan of the fan. It will be great for camping, hanging out on the porch and deck and by the pool. It makes the Milwaukee battery powered fan looks like a child’s toy.
Thanks for the information , I wasn't aware of the self contained pump , like you mentioned , Ego builds nice products , great attention to detail , I have lots of things from them , the most recent was the nexus power station , I'd be curious to know how much noise the fan makes , with the pump running , those runtimes you posted are pretty amazing. 👍 Thank you for another great review Andrew
This will be on my So. Fl. patio that overlooks at the Everglades (not joking). It's not very comfortable to sit on the patio in the summer. We have overhead fans that help but this is a game changer plus I am already on the Ego platform.
I'm a huge Ego fan and have many of their tools but I don't understand the reasoning behind why they put out a fan (and a light) when there are so many lawn tools they could have come out with that their competition already has. If I need a fan for camping or a power outage I'll use my ego power station and plug in a fan I already have. Next year maybe a should expect an Ego blender and not a lawn dethatcher or pressure washer. Great video but I don't understand where Ego is going with this. It's definitely not on my Ego wish list.
The fan is being marketed to people going camping, sporting events with the kids, working on yard projects, patio parties and all have this one major feature... its portable without running 8 miles of cords and it is a mister to cool you off on hot days. My home currently has no outdoor electrical sockets and being the stucco siding it is and the age of it id rather not mess with it at all. So for all the above reasons plus my own, it has a rather large market. Last summer at the local fair someone was pulling this around in a cart watching their kids go on rides. It was 94 degrees out but felt like the mid 70s within the misting range. All that being said, there is a beware situation about the backplate of the mister being faulty/bad design. I think personally easily repairable as a DIY plastic weld.
definitely on my wishlist. i do wish they would’ve added recessed outlet prongs to use an extension cord if you wanted to run it for a really long time on high. a good set and forget option for job site or poolside even
Would require an additional voltage regulator and increased weight and cost. I own this and it last for hours and hours at sporting events. Goes through quite a bit of water on high, over 3 gallons an hour, but the volume of air moved is quite phenomenal if a bit loud on turbo.
@@savagestash4354 yeah after alot of use since i got it, I can say i dont get any battery anxiety with a 5AH+ battery. easily getting a couple of hours out of it. ive used it poolside, sporting events, general outdoor use. @@Kitearmy They get continuously less effective as humidity rises. At 80% humidity, they can achieve around a 10° temperature drop. But these tend to be commercial units with well-designed and maintained misters. Once the droplet size exceeds something like 10 microns, the droplets no longer undergo flash evaporation. But you are right, when it's 95° out, 85° feels much better. Oh, and inside they can be a problem as they WILL increase humidity, and thus biological growth can also increase leading to potentially unhealthy situations.
Thanks for the review of this EGO Mis-tery fan for us. It's listed for 349.00 Canadian so it maybe around $199 ~ $259 US just because Low's in Canada is charging more on EGO products than when they were sold at Home Depot. I hope EGO will do something about it or I am going to buy from US.
Ok, Mr. EGO. LOL. Do they sell an adaptor that you can not use battery and plug into the wall? I do realize the whole company is about battery-powered, but if I had this fan, I would like the ability to plug it into an extension cord. Thanks for the video
It won't because it is a publicly announced for over a month now on different RUclips videos. Still wish they sell the snow thrower this year though. It would be great for small spaces.
@@Kitearmy, I was confused when I went on their website to look it up and didn't see anything. Then came back to your video to see if there was a link and was the video was gone. Always love that you have all of the latest greatest from EGO!

How easy is it to remove the cover and clean the fan blades? Eventually that will have to be done.
