The inspirational true story of Mercedes Gleitze, who in 1927 became the first British woman to swim the English Channel. 'Vindication Swim' depicts Mercedes’ upstream struggle in overcoming both the cold waters of the English Channel and the oppressive society of 1920s England. However, after a rival comes forward claiming to have accomplished the same feat, Mercedes is forced into battle to retain her record and her legacy.

Well done, great achievement for someone so young etc. But my real question is where did the financial backing come from? Who can make a feature film with professional crew and actors at 24 years old?

@@OliverHollingdale Way above prosumer level equipment, crew to go with it, professional cast unlikely to work for free... very unusual for somebody in their early 20s. Lots of very talented people out there who would never get such opportunity. Great if you're able to unlock it. Just wondering if background and/or connections had anything to do with it? Invariably does.

An interesting thought, I have my first debut coming out early next year, a fantasy film, only taken us 3 years 😅

@@OliverHollingdale Good luck, but it's insanely difficult to find a distributor unless you can hit this level of production quality - which means $$$/contacts/MummyDaddymoney. If you don't have any joy hopefully you'l find an audience on RUclips. But then you see how many are doing the same thing !
