Rainbow Runner Sashimi is one of my favourite in Asia.
They're amazing and very underrated
AJ and deep wrecks have killed spearos. Keep it safe lads! Good call cutting the line Jack. Experience count's at depth. Awe!
Thanks brother! I'm hoping people can definitely learn from this and find out how South things can go and how quickly. Always learning out there, the ocean is a powerful place
These videos are like therapy to me, i watch them they make me so calm, I have a Q tho, why don't you get couple of those tiny 10 min O2 tanks? They would help a lot imo.
@akramdogha3778 so on this trip I can definitely see them helping. Could've recovered that fish. But we would probably need a full scuba setup for this depth. I did talk about that afterwards wishing we'd have a tank for this
Nothing wrong with sheepshead ! Little bit of a PITA to clean is the only negative. I’m going to pass on the fried AJ row. I can do some mullet row fried if I have some grits to go with them.
Never tried that! Yea I'll pass next time on the aj roe. It's decent but I prefer blackend fish fillets instead. Lol
Pretty good vid Jack. The pirate crew gave us a lesson in "fish wrestling!" Judges say the fish won as the pirates got the knives out - but what else do you expect from a bunch blood thirsty of pirates?!
Lots of lessons in this video - deep dives reaching the limit and good decisions not to shoot when almost out of air.
Seeing the buddy system in action for safety and retrival is a valuable lesson for those interested in trying free diving.
The ocean can be deadly, both top water as well as diving ...
I've had at least 3 close calls in my younger days swimming in storm surf after huricanes and in Nam 1971 at Chu Lai after a huge typhoon went through. Buildings that were close to the water had the paint sandblasted off them.
Guys that didn't get their ships ( Ch 47 Chinooks, like flying buses, two giant rotor heads) tied down properly had rotor blades
snapped off and a few ships smashed into the concrete walls on both sides of where they parked at night.
We had a multiple drowning incident as guys playing football on the beach after the storm chased into the surf to get the ball. I wasn't there but heard about it. I went out in that same place the next day and almost didn't make it back to shore. Getting back in against the backwash of the big waves was exhausting, and on the way in, you got trownced by the breaking waves coming up behind you. I had to go back out past the breakers and rest for a few tries before I made it in. Got through by diving deep as the waves were about to smash me then swimming like crazy thorough the back wash towards shore after each wave broke. Once out of the break zone I was able to make good progress to shore. Laid in the sand for about 5 minutes before I could move at all. Totally spent.
That's my big war story in the S China Sea.
Stay safe always guys. I'll catch the next video.
Wow what an amazing story!! Glad you made it back and I'm sure there were moments of worry! I've been in situations like that as a kid, I remember it being so scary. I like sharing these crazy dives and situations. Hopefully fellow divers learn and play it safe if they're even in similar situations. Thanks for the epic comments per usual don!🤙🤙

Thanks Jack. Great to hear from you.
If I was maybe 10 years younger I'd visit!!
Stay safe and long live the Queen!
Keep a scuba tank on board for emergencies.
Agree! That would've come in handy for sure
Would love to hear details about your guns, size, shaft día, bands.
I'm going to do a dive shop video soon!
Surely take me out fishing
Scary situations
Oh yea! Ya live n learn thankfully. Good to have a good crew 👍
love your vids bro
Thanks brotha!🤙🤙
Love sheepshead! Some of the whitest, best meat out there
Oh definitely can't complain or argue that!
Out of some fish that is caviar
Oh for sure! Wasn't the best tasting. It was more of a texture thing though. I'll stick with fillets. Lol
Hey glad to see you wear a safety vest. What brand is it and where can we get one?
Thanks man! The one I have is discontinued, but the only other one I know of is called the sens07. Worth it 100% if u ask me
Man....I've seen people loose feeling in fingers...permanent...over a multiple lion fish stings in one finger.
@rickshearer6359 I can see that happening. Always gotta be careful. I got hit hard by em a couple times. Each time makes u more and more careful!
I'm a retired...entomologist...and toxicological...I'm suspicious ....that the nerve toxin...venom...of the lionfish is accumulative...you can get stung and luckily not have too much trouble with the sting...but after a few more months..even years...and a few more stings...but the next sting you recieve...could be a fatal sting!!!if it pushes you over a lethal dose!!! This is a pretty common accurance....with the Texas fire ant...it affects people that get stung regularly...ex...meter readers...lawn mowing...ect...they poss. Have been stung a hundred times over the past 10years....but one day in that person's future...the 101st...sting can push them into anaphylaxisshock and kill them! Sad but true....some children have died this way too...@@CaptainJackSpearo
Hi, would u recommend a combination of mask and camera, I ve been trying a few and lot of them leak cause of the weight of the camera, thanks
I just use the hammerhead. It takes some getting used to. I have some friends that just use the headstrap
Why not use a float line when you're shooting pelagics?
Nice one OH yeah 👍
Oh yeah!
Eggs taste like eggs.
Hey jack if we were starving wed he a whole lot of shit so like ???? I guess not a 10 out of 10
Haha I'd say more of a 3 out of 10. Flavors was good but the texture was like earing fluffy scrambled eggs. Hard to get me mind around it. Haha
Being honest 🤮 that roe refuse totally to ever eat something like that all roe period ahhhhhhh yuk
Always gotta try something once!🤣
