Hi Lindy, Beacon Hill Park looks very inviting and beautiful. I don’t usually read picture books but one about words, I can’t resist. I’m also interested in the Annie Ernaux memoir. Aloha friend.

Hi Maya! It’s likely that you will find Macfarlane’s Lost Words at your library. Beacon Hill Park is on the list for your visit. 🌸🌸🌸

So cool that you row! The scene at the beginning reminds me of Boston.

I love rowing! It’s so nice to be on the water and see the creatures that share that space-shorebirds and waterfowl, herons, seals, otters and eagles. That opening clip is of Victoria’s Inner Harbour, where we ventured only once to date, and it was with our main coach in the boat with us.

Hi Lindy! Thank you for your heartwarming videos, as always it is a pleasure to share the passion for books. ❤
I got really interested about the "Soil" book, so I got it from Audible, and hopefully, when I am done catching up with A Suitable Boy read-a-long, I could start listening to it. Even though I am so bad with listening in the foreign language, but who said life is easy 😂
For "Picture This" I "read" two wordless books and couple of manga volumes. I realized that I like touching my picture books 😅 like I am trying to connect with the drawn world.
Thanks for sharing the videos of wildlife! Always so great! ❤

Hello Aleksandra! Thanks for being a dedicated viewer of my channel. 🥰🤗
I also like physical picture books for the pleasure of handling them. There’s a different kind of pleasure that can be derived from viewing them digitally, as long as the screen on one’s device is large enough and has full colour capability: it’s seeing the art backlit; that can be breathtaking.
When you listen to an audiobook in English, you might be able to adjust the playback speed to slightly slower and thereby increase your comprehension. I do that when I’m listening to audiobooks in French.

Thank you for the tip, Lindy! ❤
I learnt through the years about my body that my strength of being a "visual" person (exceptional attention to details, visual memory, etc.) is balanced with my hearing issues. I usually "cheat" by reading other people lips when they are talking, or using subtitles for movies. I even imagine words as visual objects in my head when I listen important information.
I am also quite sensisitive to people's voices, it is so important to me to hear someone soothing and calm, low voice. Hopefully, "Soil" will be a joyful read for me (I will definitely try to listen to it on lower speeds, it is a "no rush" book, anyways ❤

Greetings! Lost Words certainly deserves a gold heart… or was that gold heart for the bottoms-up ducks? Either way, thanks so much for watching! 😊

They sure like that spot! Actually, there are two turtle logs, always lined with turtles when I have been there.

Hi Lindy. The lost words sounds amazing and sad .Even the word magpie! I’ve put it on my wish list to buy. I noticed there’s a card game.

A lost words card game? Interesting. The book is a handsome object to own. You could leave it on your coffee table or pull it out from the shelf to share with visitors of any age.

But if I do that (skip to the books I am interested in), I will miss the ones I wouldn't normally be interested in but after hearing you talk, I become interested in them......Reader problems.
