I’m impressed with her mandarin. I can actually understand what she’s trying to say.
This is the rare color version, right? Thank you. I loved Shirley so much that I cried when she died.
All of Shirley's Movies are so uplifting!! She was a true treasure.

@@RachelHoffmanDolls looking forward to find more Shirley temple's movie ❤️ cuz I'm a big fan
Shirley temple is like breeze of fresh air…her movies are stress releivers ❤❤❤…my mom was 1932 born and she left us last April, Shirley was couple of years older than her…this makes me love her more .😊
Shirley shows her talent in this movie, Acting, Sing and dancing. She is a delight. Thanks
Shirley was the best child actor of all time. At least I think so.
Yep I completely agree with the earlier comment from Kevin Doran that she is the Best Child Actor of All Time!! Sooo Much Talent in that precious little girl that made all of America smile even until today, by reminding us with these wonderful movies of hers! Thank You Very much PF for uploading Shlirley's movies especially with this pandemic being here. We definitely need her movies to make us smile and help us get through this this very difficult time. Rest in Peace Dearest Shirley and Thank You just for being you and for blessing us with your talented and beautiful presence while you were here. Love You Always♥️🌟💞💖
@@patriciamnoel5517 A number of years back there was a special doing the top child actors of all time starring Candace Cameron Bure. Shirley was completely snubbed and the number one child star went to a Simpsons cartoon character. I was really angry. I got over it, but a cartoon character as number one?
I agree with you! AMAZING child and later adult. I admire her so much!
@@kevindoran4590 Kevin, let them think what they want. We know the truth. Shirley was truly talented and brought joy to many, and also did not grow up to be completely dysfunctional like most child stars. She continued to contribute to society. My mom loves her so much she has all her movies, all her friends give her Shirley Temple memorabilia, and she has several Shirley Temple dolls. The heck with lists.
@Jamie Winblad They did go far back as The Little Rascals that would have been around the same time as Shirley. Thanks for asking, I had to think about that! :)
I grew up watching Shirley Temple movies, my daughters did the same and now I watch them with my granddaughters.
That is wonderful. Thank you for watching!
I admire Shirley Temple Black for everything she’s accomplished in her life 💜
Shirley Temple Black was truly a gem, wasn't she? 🌟 From her early days in Hollywood to her later years in public service, she left an indelible mark on the world. It's no surprise you admire her so much-she was a true trailblazer! 💜 Thanks for sharing your admiration!
@@RachelHoffmanDolls My mother passed in 1979.
They were friends.
The memories & photos are blessings and strength.

Yes.
I couldn't sleep, and maybe this will help. So relaxing.
After a trip to China 10 years ago, I love all things Chinese. This was fun to watch---Shirley Temple speaking Chinese and quoting Chinese proverbs. So cute!
Awesome! Thanks for tuning in, glad you enjoyed it!
I love the Chinese people.
I completely agree. My sister looked just like her and could do everything she did. She always made my heart smile 😃

Always loved Shirley Temple
Shirley Temple was a special talent ❤
Most Multi talented child actor in history.
I agree! She is amazing!
I love all of Shirley Temple movies and songs.
The role of Sun Lo, who says to Shirley/Ching-Ching' "I hope you will always remember the sayings of our wise men", is played by Philip Ahn, who later played Shaolin Master Kan in the Kung Fu TV series, famed for his immortal words "As quickly as you can, snatch the pebble from my hand, when you can snatch the pebble from my hand, then you may leave the Temple, Grasshopper". His words to Shirley (Ching-Ching) are worth remembering too - "May your shadow lengthen always in the sun of happiness", and Shirley's reply which he had taught her "May the bird of prosperity continue to nest in your rooftop", and Shirley's line "Friendship is a tree of shelter from the rains of trouble", then later in the film Shirley says "Sun Lo says all things have two prices, one for the foolish", and then "Sun Lo says, patience is like will, many talk about it, but few possess it". .
This film was great in black and white, but it's nice to see the colorized version, and incidentally, makes it easier to persuade my 5 yr. old granddaughter to watch it!
Sun Lo's cousin Chang, the boatman, is Willy Fung, who, like Philip Ahn, played supporting roles in a great many films of that era (died in 1945 at 49, accidentally by gas fumes, I think), and he was in Shirley's great film 'Willie Winkie'.
I thought I'd seen all Shirley's movies this is such a treat. Thank you 😊
I love her she was beautiful and precious. ❤💖💕💓🌹💖❤RIP SHIRLEY TEMPLE. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
With the dog it's just cuteness overload. Wonderful.

Shirley is cute...funny and smart talker...I enjoyed the movie... thanks!
She is really cute and pretty. I really fan of her' all movies. When she smiles I feel better. When I will get married I wish I must have a baby girl like this. She is an angel.
Thanks for tuning in, glad you enjoyed it!
Most precious little actress of all ...
Under my husband's account..
So hard to decide what shirley film is my favorite since I love them all. But one has to be the little colonel that's the very first Shirley movie I ever saw. My grandmother introduced me to all of her wonderful movies. I loved my grandma so much and when I watch a Shirley movie, it's like I can go to a place and time that was so simple, innocent, and loving. I can escape everything that's mean in the world pretend I'm living in a time where a small child can make all your troubles can melt away. Bless you for all the wonderful movies..is there any way you could maybe post. Little miss marker? Another favorite, but sadly I never see the full movie on here. Thank you again, my friend ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much for watching!
Mine was The Little Princess. Always brings me to tears.

Jim Anderson in the making, easy to see how he wound up with Father Knows Best !
all of her movies are my favorite.
Awe love it! Thanks for watching!
justme justme my mother was born in 1926 and Shirley Temple was her favorite actress until she (my mother) died in 2001. In 1968 when I was 5 years old my mother tried to get me to watch Rebecca of Sunny Brook Farm and I had no interest in watching it so I got punished and sent to my room...lol! I’m sure my mother wanted Shirley Temple to be my favorite actress too and did her best to try to get me interested in her. 😁
These Shirley Temple movies are absolutely amazingly timeless, and thanks for making them available!!!🌻🌻🌻
I've never watched this particular movie before so therefore I was pleasantly surprised!!!😘😘😘😘

Thank you Ma'am
Can't get over how cute that dog is not not a dog person lol
Could a kid get any cuter than Shirley Temple was in her heyday? She was later given the dog by the studio and renamed it "Ching Ching" which was her nickname in the film.
I Love These Movies
I hope they bring back Mr woo he is too cute
It was so sad 🤧and yet the end so pretty 🥳 thank you so much I waited for this video and will wait for the next and the next and the next I hope 😉
You're welcome 😊
I love Shirley Temple and her movies, especially in the 30s (16 yr old guy btw). She was soooo fkn talented! Its just sad when I think about the things she endured (and all young actors and actresses in the 30s, and black people) with all the men on set and the tiny tiny dresses. It often to distracts me from the movies.
That was the 30s thoughhhh.
Alice Faye is reminding me of Elle Fanning!
I just found your channel it was in my recommended I just subbed I love Shirley temple movies
Awesome! Thanks for being here!
Rachel Hoffman you’re welcome
Atkins played in three other Temple movies plus Mary Poppins!
COOL! Thanks for watching!
Hopefully when i grown up i can go to turn of the century antiques
We would love that!

Great movie!
This is a really sweet one. But, no one ever posts my all-time favorite, Little Miss Marker. The 1980 one is just horrible. Only clips of Shirley Temple in it on youtube.
Okay, I just found Little Miss Marker in a used book store and bought it. Victory!!!
ME: But captain, Stowaway is forbidden onboard this ship not without a ticket, that's against the law.

What happened to her dog?
Too blurry to watch😞
HI! It is a little blurry, if you watch on a smaller device it helps a ton. Thanks for trying!
Note...This was filmed in 1936, Digital was not even a fantasy yet. One alternative, copy of a copy of a copy...ect. Amazon will gladly sell you a DVD.
Rachel Hoffam; How old was she in this movie? How long had she been performing? Where were her parents? ...on a darker note was she ever...assaulted? I hope not! I miss her.
HI! I don't know the answer to any of these questions. Sorry! Thanks so much for tuning in.
A good book to read about her life is Child Star: An Autobiography by Shirley Temple Black.
Thank you best ever present for my birthday today 22 / 03 /1949
