Hello thrifting loving babes!! :) I am so excited for today's video because I'm taking you guys along thrifting with me at the LARGEST THRIFT STORE IN LOS ANGELES! I had never been there before and I was S H O O K. This place was massive and I literally shopped for hours (my poor husband hahaha). There were so many great finds and so much variety! I didn't show too much of what I got in depth just yet because I really wanted everything I got to be kind of a surprise in the thrift haul that I'm posting next week!! :)

- Do you live in Minnesota? Kind of at the moment haha. At the beginning of the year my husband and I decided we wanted to spend our first year of marriage traveling. We packed up our apartment in LA and put all of our stuff in storage and moved in with my husband's parents in Minnesota to save on the cost on the cost of rent. We used the money we would usually spend on rent towards traveling and got to go to so many beautiful places this year! Now that the year is winding down, we're getting ready to move back home, but we're also taking this opportunity to build up money for our savings! Expect to see moving vlogs in the next couple of months. :)

St. Vincent Thrift Store Los Angeles I'm in Austin Texas, and you have a Society Of St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Store here, and I just have to say, it is my absolute FAVORITE thrift store ever!!. Glad to see this is true in other states as well, and the things you do for your communities are absolutely wonderful!.

Thediyhappy hour it may be that or you putting your standards up too high. If the latter you will get frustrated if you go in thrift shops in the hopes of finding nothing but vintage designer especially when you happen to not live in California.
the thrift stores near me someitmes have good stuff and other times its a complete miss, ive noticed i find a lot more stuff after christmas tho

If you find a clothing that is too large consider taking it to a tailor. They can alter it significantly to fit you, I do this with pieces I find especially if they're a well-designed quality or luxury brand.

Aw I hate to be a fun killer, but that’s a stenomachine which is the keyboard stenographers / court reporters / captioners use to make verbatim transcripts of court proceedings/ how they do the captioning on tv shows. We use those in order to type fast enough to keep up with how fast people speak in normal conversation (200+ words a minute.) instead of using a normal QWERTY keyboard. but the spy idea sounds way more fun to me. :)

Vanessa Bayardo it kind of fluctuates. It depends on the person, and sometimes people get way faster when they’re excited or arguing, and sometimes people pause and slow down when they’re thinking. But in my experience most of the time people are around 160-ish when they’re answering questions or when they’re coming up with a question in their head not reading it off a piece of paper. Reading and arguing tend to be way faster. and where I work it’s usually two people speaking back and forth question and answer for the most part, and a third person objects from time to time, and a judge kind of runs it. So to become certified to work in California the certification test is 200 words a minute with four speakers for 10 minutes.

That's what I had initially thought because the design looks very Olympics looking and I actually had that in the footage and then cut it out during editing haha. That's so awesome to know it is though!! :)
Jessica My husband found a 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympic sweater at a fleamarket around the corner a couple of years ago.
We just found out the last one sold over here via Internet was about 250€. Unbelieveable...

I am so....o privileged! I had a lady who looked at me & said just wait here & came back carrying a beautiful Pendleton coat! She smiled and said that it would look wonderful on me... I asked how much it was she said it was for me. No, no.... yes, yes, she grinned...it fit's. I thanked her for her generosity and kindness and embarrassed accepted the coat. I looked up the coat & it retailed near $750! A gift of a $750 coat because someone thought I would look good in it.

I know!! I keep thinking about it and I'm like should I have gotten the coat?! Ahhh, oh well- I thought it was better to leave it for someone who would have equally have loved it and actually have been able to wear it, so maybe that makes it worth it :) I'm so glad you liked this video though!! 💛 definitely stop by if you ever get the chance!!

AHHHHH you should've bought the camel hair Pendelton jacket!! I LOVE Pendleton and honestly the resale value along of that jacket if you bought it would've been worth it. Easy $150 bucks!

St. Vincent's is my all time favorite thrift store! I've been going since before they expanded their store. I'm so sad I missed you, i would have loved to meet you.

That gorgeous blazer you found was made in my hometown. The Pendleton woolen mills is very famous with its products, so that’s very cool that you found something like that in a thrift store and in LA

I've been thrifting for as long as I can remember, and I used to be embarrassed about it but now with it being a huge trend I go all the time with my friends, and my closet is exploding with clothing that I love. Thrifting is an actual perfect hobby

I think it kind of depends on each item from what I saw! Some items were amazing prices, $2 for the tee, $8 for the RL blazer, but I did see some more pricey pieces, but they were all heavy coats and nice dresses and things! So I think it just depends and how much you dig for those great finds :) also I do agree about try ons!

This is why the prices have gone up and low income folks who actually live in the area can no longer afford some of this stuff. I think this happens alot in thrift stores not just saint Vincent's. Specially how someone else mentioned thrifting it's "in". AND Specially with people who have money to sweep all the stuff out almost all at once. But either way, You have a good Eye for thrifting!:)

That red vintage coat is absolutely amazing!!! Ah, I wish our thrift stores were as big as this one or even a standard Goodwill in the States. I’d probably have to take a trip to like 20 stores to be able to have the selection of clothing that you guys have in one store over there.

Yeah, my same thought that I was gonna like the video. A few other thrifting videos did not seem as genuine, because they were just trying to follow the trend of Thrifting Videos. But this is by far my favorite thrifting video after watching so many.

I recently started looking in the mens section and spotted a gorgeous v neck *womens* Champion sweatshirt in a cornflower blue, with baby pink and pale yellow stripes on the cuffs, through the neckline, and at the bottom. It was £10, so about $13? It’s in great condition. So pleased!

Hey bub! Just wanted to give you some quick advice. Please be super cautious when buying shoes! You won't believe how many people are walking around with fungal infections and nail/skin diseases! I see it all the time (I'm an RN) and its all really contagious. It takes months and thousands of dollar in treatments to fix and picking shoes up from the salvos (goodwill in america) is a common and easy way to catch this. Disinfectants and sanitation don't always work super effectively either. Just wanted to let you know. I'd hate to see that happen to such a beautiful spirited person. XX

@5:56 that's a CART, aka Computer Aided Real-Time Transcription. Basically it's 'short-cut' device where the provider types what the person is saying in real time, and translated the short-cuts into transcripts in paper/ on computer. It is used for court, meetings, and students who has a hearing loss. Definitely not a spy suitcase!
