Yeah lets remove all the non-old school stuff and see how 99% of you whiners wouldn't be in the game more than 1-3 months without your raids and other new stuff.
What skill is fun in OSRS? Mining? Smithing? Agility? "Fun" should not be a factor, that's what mini games, raids, and bosses are for, Skill are about repeatable tasks and a feeling of utility and progression. I think any of the three skills pitched would be great; Sailing, if successful will not be the last skill pitched, Sailing opens up an enormous map area for new content to be placed without affecting nostalgia of other locales. As I touched on, Sailing is not the LAST skill to be added but it could be, people voted no because their "team" didnt win, but our "Team" now is OSRS and I hope everyone votes for what's best for the skill and for the game/community with sailing and we do not trap the OSRS development team into an iteration limbo of failing votes and changes. If the development team and the community can be successful with such an ambitious undertaking then there should be no reason we won't see another skill like warding in the not too far flung future.
Just like you said around 3:30, If they fuck this skill up and it don't come out amazing This will be the last skill that will ever come into this game. So they got one chance to change those peoples minds that do not want any skills coming into OSRS, because it will mess up OSRS or it will change it to much and it will be to much like rs3 or blah blah blah blah... Or the players that were very on edge about it and voted yes because they trust jagex if it sucks they will lose all trust and always vote no from here on out. So i really hope they put blood sweat and tears into this project because how it turns out can change the future on new skills in Oldschool RuneScape. But im excited im shocked it passed! iv been wanting a new skill since 2018. And from the videos and from what they have shown us in blogs it looks very promising. :)
Also something this big and game changing will have bugs, im sure it will have alot of bugs on release. Bit think about what they are doing, they are adding boats and shit that you can control across sea. So people need to chill out and expect there to be bugs and glitches that will need tweaked.

and player population i guess osrs is alive
Also about twice the amount of people voted no tho
Shiver me fuckin timbers lads!!!
What will happen to the max cape?
Players will have to get 99 sailing to reequip it
Same as the quest cape i guess haven't been able to reequipe it since dragon slayer 2
Simple
Sounds super difficult to introduce a new skill. It would be so cool if they made the cannons work against players ships in pvp
Cool, so when is Old School OSRS coming out?
It did years ago😂 this aint it and i m glad
Osrs hasnt been old school for years. Raids, QOL even RL.
i have doubts you even play the game
Yeah lets remove all the non-old school stuff and see how 99% of you whiners wouldn't be in the game more than 1-3 months without your raids and other new stuff.
About time we see a new race to rank 1 and new leaderboards. Lol. I wonder who will be first to 99
Kinda sucks for guys like titan tho who completely smoked everyone and did it when the game was way harder.
Yo hoo! All together, hoist the colors high!
@@Travisqui3n even if its an objective 10/10 skill, spite is powerful
When 99 you can go back to tutorial island
and fight the runescape guide as the final boss which shows the end credits and deletes your character
