You should watch Taylor’s all too well short film. She wrote and directed it. Red was released in 2012 and it’s her last official country album so it has a mix of both country and pop songs. Prior to 2020, it was considered her best album by critics and most fans. If you did t know already, Taylor’s best songs are usually never released as singles. Plus she straddles different genres seamlessly. Her past 2 albums folklore and evermore are considered the best of her career. Another that’s charting now is Message in a Bottle, the first pop song she wrote with Max Martin. All Too Well (10minute) is the Billboard Global #1 and the longest song ever to reach #1 replacing the 50 yr record from Don McLean’s American Pie. That’s why people are telling you to watch the short film. But if you don’t want to, she performed it live on SNL, the whole + 10 minutes and drops the f-bomb. Will go down in history as one of the most iconic SNL performances ever.

If you want to check out and have context about the wedding gift on this video, you can watch All Too Well, the short film, written and directed by Taylor herself. It’s track 4 on the 2012 album but it originally was 10 minutes and she had to cut it down because songs like that don’t exist and doesn’t belong on an album but with years of begging from fans to release it, she made it part of the newer songs that were released for the new versions
