Yes, ( should have perhaps been more clear ) it was more to te fact that Bill Cipher 's story is still on going thanks to that ARG, with the book releasing this year, it kept the "theories" going
The movie that shows in the best how truly horrfying a giant monster attack would be. My favorite scenes are all the ones where they can hear the monster but can't see it. Or see the destruction the monster left behind. That's always the creepiest part
So glad someone else is giving Chronicle it's deserved credit, it was a really good little movie that doesn't get the recognition it probably should imo.
The fact that the movie begins with "This footage was found at area xxx formally known as Central Park" already gives you an idea how horrible the events of the movie would be
OMG YES! I just recently watched his video on Cloverfield and it made me rewatch that masterpiece. So happy to see your reaction to his video that's also great
And then there is me and my head canon thinking to myself: What if Cloverfield was more than just a Kaiju movie? what if the title itself is referring to a field of stories telling it's own tale, and one story in particular causes a paradox, mixing and matching every stories into another where it is not supposed too, causing chaos and nightmare fueling to happen, take the first movie for example, what if it was suppose to be a Drama Romances Story, but because of the paradox that happen, that story was mix with a Monster story and coincidentally both setting where set in New York
I honestly don’t think I would’ve become a RUclips nut without this film. I remember before it came out, I was obsessed with the trailer with just how eerie and real it felt at the time, so I went to the internet to really dig into what “1-18-08” and it’s monster were. I ended up stumbling across a bunch of videos that all tried to figure out what the monster was and I just watched them religiously to try and piece it together myself. They were basically slide show presentations by todays standards, but 11 year old me didn’t care. Lo and behold, I ended up coming across RUclips poops, music videos, and the rest is history.
Fun fact: the incredible hulk from 2003 mayor reason to flop was bc American audience didn't wanted a monster that fights us army as protagonist, so despite being thanked as a standalone film it didn't made what they believed
What I got is that the question isn't "Is Clover an alien?", because it could still be an alien either way, it was just asleep in the ocean for a long time ala war of the worlds, the question is "was the thing that fell the satellite or clover?". That's the real fork in the road, Clover being an alien really isn't relevant at all
I would recommended watching Godzilla Mothra King Ghidora giant monsters all out attack ( and maybe Big Action Bills GMK review) to see Goji being just a real piece of crap.
Why Abrams always do this shit, make colossal mysteries and then become memes, it remains me of the fictionologists of honkai star rai, a bunch of wackos who made fictional shit like they are gods gift to Mankind
Hear me out: a true timeline of the monsterverse. 1.Godzilla is the first known kaiju 2.the UN finds skull island through their godzilla research 3. Clover comes from somewhere underwater and is the first video evidence of Kaiju 4. More Kaiju start appearing now that the world knows, which makes them all start acting up 5. Godzilla returns to kill enemy Kaiju, and eventually ropes Kong into that. 6. The humans do R&D to better fight off Kaiju, which results in the jaeger program 7. Humans figure out that the ocean floor is covered in portals to another dimension, and the biggest one is in the pacific 8. The jaeger program pilots are in an eternal combat with the kaiju.
That's... not at all what Pointless refers to lol. He even says it like immediately at the timestamp that he's talking about 1998 movie "Godzilla", which was, in fact, made in US. The events even occur on Manhattan, if I recall correctly, meanwhile most of the other Godzilla movies happen in Japan, with Japan participating in production
Since you're going down the PointlessHub rabbit hole I do recommend his Bayverse Transformers saga.
"Before Time began, there was.... The Bay"
Oh boy those are the videos I know him from

They aren't still looking for that Bill Cipher statue, it was found in 2016. It took less than 2 weeks.

My favorite part of this movie is when the dude with the camera says "oh yeah it's cloverfielding time"
And starts to cloverfield all over the city

Jesus christ. I cringed so hard.

20:47 The perfect irony of you forgetting that title
Exactly what i commented 30 min ago😂i guess the marketing strategy didn't work lol
Hell yeah, more PointlessHub!
I still rewatch Cloverfield whenever I feel like it. It's just a really entertaining movie.

If you watched the Cloverfield Paradox, this is just straight-up the truth. Good intuition!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Cloverfield was a good movie and lives rent free in there head.
Love this movie, but the parasites were scarier than clover itself.
Yah they scared me when i yunger especially the head explosion scene
Imagine calling it "first Pacific Rim movie" and not the "Only Pacific Rim movie, such a shame" 🤣

👍👍I prefer the ARG ,specially the lovecraftian elements, but everyone have their choice.
20:46 the faint irony
Sigmar is good now if that helps your feelings (plus a fantastically fun game)
Why do i have a feeling that the lore of this movie would be better if matt reeves and jj just shut their mouth sometimes?
My favorite kaiju film was Neon Genesis Evangelion.
hell yea, bayverse lesgoooo
Ehh, I think the ARG stuff is too convoluted.
Have Tagorato never heard of using cane-sugar or corn-syrup?

Cloverfield is OVER Shakey, you can HOLD a cam alot more stable. The movie made me SICK from all the shaking.
I wasn't aware that you have experience holding a camera during a kaiju attack.
Well, it was supposed to feel like it was recorded by a person who was just given a camera and not a cameraman
@@DrFunkman Yah but they shook the crap out of it. Many peeps Ran with a cam corder and had WAYYYY more stable vids that didnt cause peeps to hurl.
