Great video thank you brought back many memories of my time traversing the route with 7 friends between 1st April and 15 May 1993 most of which was covered in snow. Navigation had to be by map and compass as the route markers were not visible. We had been sponsored by a beer company for a verterns charity and part of the agreement was we had to carry a large can the whole way and not allowed to drink it till we sat on the beach in Banyuls su Mere. So many times was the temptation to drink it.. If I recall I lost around 16kg in body fat by the end. Loved every step of it..
votre tandem est un pur émerveillement..faire cet HRP d'un seul Jet force l'admiration..et quelle simplicité, quelle humilité..vous devez avoir une très grande expérience..encore merci et bravo..👏
Just watched your GR5 & HRP 😳🤩 Bjørn & Inger, I love your smiles. Well done for your determination, performance and expertise. Should inspire generations from teenage. Hudge respect 👏🏼
What a lovely video! A fantastic achievement. Some beautiful scenery and weather. I plan to visit the Pyrenees in 2023, but not to do this walk.....maybe one for the future! Thank you again for sharing this trip!
Thanks mate. Did the hospitalet pres Andorra to banyuls last section, 8 days, last year. Thinking very seriously about doing the whole walk next July. Thanks for the video, very enjoyable. Good edit, not too long, and I like the way you hide the pain. Whilst painful on the walk, really the only memories are joyful.
Wow - the walks thru the valleys are wonderful, would have loved to do that - the rocky bits look very dangerous so not for me ! Well done - you are braver than me !
Great video, and fast time 32 day's. You guy's are in great shape. :) I am going to do the HRP next year and starting 30th of June. Exciting to see what's coming.
Herregud dere er så flinke!! Fantastiske videoer, tusen takk!!
What a great effort doing it in just over a month! I'm considering it for 2020 and was thinking of not bringing trekking poles, but seeing the amount of snow it looks like poles and microspikes are a wise idea, right?
Thank you, Lisette. I think trekking poles is a very good idea, especially where there is snow. You can go without microspikes. If the sky is clear during the night the snow will often get frozen in the morning, and at that time you will need microspikes or crampons. By 10 or 11 am the snow is most likely to be soft and there should be no need for microspikes. Be aware that the snow gets soft in the eastern slopes before the westen slopes.
Very nice video. I'm glad you guys got to see the beautiful mountains where I spent holidays in my family cottage as a child (especially the atlantic pyrenees, and the Ossau valley). I suppose you guys are Norwegians, I got the chance to see your wonderful country last year :)
Thanks for watching :) We really enjoyed the scenery and the mountains in the Pyrenees. I can imagine you have many wonderful memories of the Pyrenees mountains. Yes, we are Norwegians and I am glad you got the chance to see our country last year :) We look forward to visiting the Pyrenees again some time.

Love this video, you guys are amazing! What a trip. Also really enjoyed your foto-diary. I'm looking to do this next year if it works out. Question - the Pluviometre col looks quite steep on the snow, was there any concern about the possibility of a fall and sliding down?
When we ascended the col on the western side early in the morning the surface on the snow was icy and hard and we used microspikes. On the eastern side the snow was soft and not icy and we did not need any microspikes. If we had fallen we would not have slid down the slope.

Thank you Maria :) I´m glad you enjoyed the video. Thunderstorms can be an issue. When there were thunderstorms, we kept calm and searched for lower ground if we were on hills or high in the mountains. If there were any buildings nearby we tried to stay inside. Thunderstorms usually occurred late in the day or at night. We also set up the tent so that we would not be very exposed to thunderstorms.

Merci.
