Your content is awesome, seriously. I get super adhd excited to explain art to people. I get the same way with cars, your channel is perfect for people excited to learn to build. Thank you man!
I do a lot of retail stuff so it’s all older languages. Visual Basic. I have done plenty of web services in Java as well. Objective C and Swift with mobile development. Just kinda little bit of everything
It’s going to be a SBF. awesome channel. Good luck man! Would like to get more in depth with the build. The rear end. Gearing. Trans, trans internals. Ratio. Engine centered in the chassis? Center pinion?
@@StreetCarJoe currently doing a LS glide in my car. Dart block. 98mm centering the motor, center pinion. Trying to build pretty much your black car just maybe a tad more power and a 12point currently, going to rip the cage out soon. Swap to a 25.3. I mean we could talk for hours on these cars. None of my friends do this stuff so I have not many to talk to about building. These channels are a huge help to me. This car on drop spindles? Would love to see how you go about setting your seat and steering column too. Thanks again so much for the content. Helps guys like me a massive amount. Hoping to build a car 4.50’s or faster. It’s a lot to grasp being a one man show. Im like you. But probably 10years younger. No offense 😅. Thanks a million
Really? I was going to get the thin wall roller upgrade. What bender do you recommend for average chassis work? A lot of 1.25” and 1.625” thin wall tight bend stuff. Not looking to spend more than 2,000 or so…
I just commented the same thing. It kinks anything smaller than 1.5”. I have sasted so much chromoly because of that bender. Bought a JD2 bender and havent kinked a single tube. But u can forget about bending any thin wall tubing or 1.25 or 1” it will kink every single time
@@StreetCarJoe I’m telling you from experience I had one and had to get rid of it for the JD Square that mandrel attachment brought it up to be too much out of my price range
Man. Didn’t heal good with the stitches, opened right up when they took them out and it was all infected. Even though I kept it covered and did as they asked. But now a couple weeks later and some strong antibiotics, it’s getting there. Deep nasty scab still but healing…
Loved the video! I won't unsubscribe and am looking forward to the wiring video. I am about at that stage now and have been thinking of doing a separate toolbox for the tools and connectors. You always seem to put it in terms a clown like me can understand!
Just a heads up i cannot stand the Rogue bender. Anything smaller than 1.5 it wants to kink. It will bend 1.25 if its thick but it wants to kink .069 1.25 but smaller tubing it kinks every single time. I have wasted so much tubing from the Rogue fab. I bought a JD2 and i really like it. Havent kinked a single tube with the JD. Just a heads up on the Rogue fab
Good info. Thanks. Let me check out the JD2. Model 32 or model 54? I borrowed the model 32 before and never kinked anything. Just seemed basic and kinda hard for me to do complex multiple bends and angles and stuff. I’m no chassis guy though
@@StreetCarJoe i have the model 32. My opinion the rogue the only benfit is that it bends the tubing upwards instead of swinging the tube as it bends. Rogue takes more time to figure out bend instead of marking were the bend would start and lining that mark up with the start of die on the rogue takes a little more time to set up a tube cause you have to take the start of bend then add a certain to that measurement and u have to put the block on the tube and then tighten the two bolts on the block then put the tube in bender then put the pin in the block. I guess its personal preference but working with only chromoly or docol r8 the rogue is almost useless for us for anything smaller than 1.5 even small 20* bends it crushes, wrinkles or kinks the tubing everytime. But on the #1 bar on a 25.x chassis if you want to put a bend in the middle for driveshaft clearance its tough to do on a Jd to bend one way and then flip the bar completely over and bend back the other way its tough, i have done it i done it on my personal car with jd it just takes some time and some thought
Presently in emergency outpatient suffering from extreme withdrawals having been 3 weeks since last StreetCarJoe fix...doing much now...thank you...free tips !!! Use the World Products "Man-O-War" 351 block - it's got 6 head bolts per cyl...MBE sequential port - stagger valve is pretty rad...DEZ Racing's got Justin Palmer run'n 4.1's with a little help from Mr.Burginga...don't tell me your going to use a inline valve windsor street squirrel type head !!!...you promised next Sunday...
LS is a great engine but I thought you would be going as quick and fast. That is as that wheel base and contact patch would let you based on the current technologies. If you take that into consideration if a bid block is out, then i knew it would be the four letter word. Because people in the know just know built right, tuned right with the good stuff. Nothing else builds more reliable power.
Love your builds and content. I have a 91 LX for about 8 years now with no work except taking it apart. What’s your take on a smog legal combo for it? Mild 302 with a smog legal pro charger? I’m stuck in Cali so smog here is ridiculous
Haha. So true. But it’s got a good cooling system and is on ethanol so could be pump gas. Means I could drive the pro mod anywhere. Kinda like Tom Bailey 😂
@@StreetCarJoe ya just like Tom . You need to talk Dave into Rocky Mountain race week . When it completes something like that then we can call his promod a street car . We know it can go get ice cream now we need to know if it can drive 250 miles and run a 7 .
@@jkfonyi I think it has the ability to do that. But doing it is another level. Dunno if he’s interested in that kinda stuff. I’m looking forward to trying again this year with my buddy Brady in his camaro.
Any American V8 that has 100mm bore centers was never intended to be a race engine. And putting dual over head cams and 4 valves/cyl on it is just lipstick on a pig. I can put a turbo on my lawnmower...and it will be quick too. If you hurt something at the track, your on the trailer go'n home. The pushrod motor's back in the lanes for next round. The LS is a windsor head w/raised intake ports that both ford and the aftermarket have failed to provide for the SBF at a reasonable price. Neither will ever win a NASCAR race. Neither will ever win an NHRA Pro-Stock race. Other than the Hemi for certain classes, the sequential port-stagger valve head (some are also canted) is the cyl. head of choice. First introduced with the 1969 Boss 302. Used today in NASCAR. Used today in NHRA Pro-Stock. Used on the new 632 BBC. Look at what CID/MBE and others are doing. What do you think a 481X Proline is ??? hmmm ???
It's not difficult to listen to someone that has his plan mapped out, and sticking to it to the best of his ability. Plus you're probably ahead of the game, because you have ship dates on the items that you're short at this point. With alternative if something falls through, and is back ordered well past you're projected completion date you've set for yourself. Plus being from NE Texas myself, I'm been loyal customer of Bruam's since before you were born. But while their ice cream is very good, I prefer Blue Bell. I only buy Braum's whole milk, because it's next best thing to fresh from the cow. Although a triple dip of Black Walnut, are Banana Nut on a days like we're suffering through now is great. I suggest you give Blue Bell's Mooliniem Crunch a try, and let me know what you think. Need to slide down to Enmis next time you fellas come to town, especially if you've finished with the new ride. Good luck, stay safe young man. P.S. Glad you updated your cooling system out in your toy room, because you'll get 60% more work completed in a conditioned space than suffering with just a fan blowing hot air, and dust everywhere.

What wire do you use in your car and best place to get it from
Txl and tefzel. Racespec is the best for tefzel. Wirecare is good for txl
