Well, when we look at 1972 and 1973 stock still running in this day and age, I think that is a tribuite to the care and maintenance (not to say also the original design from Metro-Cammell) that keeps these babies running all these years later. Thanks also to everyone involved, from lineside to signallers drivers and everyone else, who keeps our wonderful Underground, running, day after day and sometimes all night! Thank you!
There's NO way that footage is from the 70s. Iwasn't aware that back in 1972 (the year I was born), Shen Yun was appearing in London and also, there's a guy on the train standing there texting on what is OBVIOUSLY his smartphone. I really like this video but the labeling for the years that the footage is supposed to be from is COMPLETELY wrong. Also, back in the 1970s, they didn't have backpacks like we do nowadays. 😂
As the train was going into Rayners Lane sidings, the shunt signal is the one giving authority to proceed to the driver (so the red colour from the signal in the video is irrelevant).
One thing i can say is that with the central line, it always knows how to make an entrance. Its so loud

That is odd, can the author reply? It lookis like a SPAD to me...
@@BillyKirbyUK either that or it's a faulty signal that it was allowed to pass slowly
They were likely given clearance for that signal by their signaller. Probably was faulty

@@dragos.s Ty.
These Vicky line trains feel just as old as the 1972 for some reason
Some stations look so ugly 🤯
