  • We install a BMW M Performance limited slip differential in the HE140i, generating an impressive effect. In this video you will see the install, along with driving clips and hooliganry as Ben talks you through the benefits of this OEM modification and why you need an LSD in your life too.
    Please comment with any thoughts you have on the HE140i and what you'd like to see next from it and us.

    lsd+good year eagle f1 tyres is such a good combo on the m140i. the tyres give a tiny bit of slip and seem much better than Mich alternatives especially in the wet

    Hi Guys I have an M Performance diff fitted and as you say it's night and day , feels so much better. Can you give any advice on how often the diff oil needs to be changed?

    • @hackengineering5586
      @hackengineering5586  Год назад +3

      Hi Martin! The oil in these diffs is technically 'lifetime oil', however we would recommend changing the oil every 50,000 miles depending on use.

      Is there not a run in period of 500 miles where it needs changed again? Other than that yeah the 50k seems reasonable.

      @AGM240i Год назад +3

      @@a20axf yes there is 500 miles run in. Its good to done on parking lot 20 circles to both sides left, right and 20 circles of eights. And after that you can ride slightly for the first 500 miles. Then you change the oil and you can full send.

    I’d expect correct removal too and installing tool for driveshafts to mitigate risk of damage.

      Hi! While you are correct about the special tool for this job, we have used the method shown for dozens of vehicles without issue.

    Does that fit the e8x e9x 335i chassis? If lets say swapping the rear diff cover and axles??

    Do the cars need coding to stop the fake 'e-diff' where it brakes each individual wheel?

      Exactly the question I have, I wondered if it was something that could be done with BM3 maybe?

      No coding needed, the diff sorts it all out before the car even starts to 'e-diff'
