+KathleenLights Hi guys we are in elephant and castle. Great juice bar/treatments rooms . and we make our products www.wahanda.com/place/manuel-guerra-skin-care/
I really feel like the la Roche posay brand is really overlooked. It used to be a huge deal on RUclips a couple of years ago but I think that as you tubers have more opportunities to try new things it's been forgotten. I definitely need to pick up some more eye cream and some cerasinc!
+Lydia Hulme LRP is fantastic isn't it? Not enough people here in Australia appreciate it but that's fine, it means there's always plenty in stock for me! x
would you be able to do a video on ingredients in skincare. i hear these youtubers going on about all these fancy ingredients i have no idea what your on about. also, any ingredients to look out for for certain skin type, or any to avoid x
She probably knows close to nothing about the ingredients, most 'beauty gurus' know just some basics that are very well known to a lot of people eg. Salicylic acid for blemish prone skin etc.
well she knows more than me. just saying its a video that no one has really done. and by the way 'the basics' are not basic for everyone or non beauty gurus. although i know what salicylic and hylauronic acid is, i know an awful lot of people who don't and ask me to explain, however its difficult to explain when these words are just casually used on youtube and in the skincare environment, and no one actually says what they do. fyi.
+Jenny Forgie Read Caroline Hirons' blog. It'll help you a lot more, trust me. You can also read BeautyPedia, they have a section about numerous ingredients, what's their purpose, if they're good or bad, etc.
+M ASMR hahaha that's veeery true. BUT I still think it's important to read her. You have to take what she says with a grain of salt, there's no need to follow everything she says, because she can be very radical. But it would be a waste not to read her, cause she has a lot of knowledge.
+Jenny Forgie My friend said it to me like this "what goes on your face is suitable for our stomach". And this is really true, we use so many chemicals in high end and drugstore skincare products. What helped me the most is Botanics facial organic oil. For acne prone skin- add 2-3 drops of tea tree oil. For brightness add vitamin E. Natural is the way to go for skincare and can be adjusted for any type of skin type. I personally do not like most of beauty bloggers' skin recommendations.
Great little video and I can tell by the steps in your routine that you follow the principles in the skincare goddess that is Mrs Hirons' routine. I mix and match a lot of those products with my high end ones too. xx
I use the Anthelios XL one for years and I love it! In Spain is a common brand and we have it in the drugstores. For oily-dehydrated-sensitive skin like mine is perfect :)
I am obsessed with coconut oil (around £3 in super drug): it's the best make up remover ever, plus you can use it on dry ends of your hair to really sort them out. It's honestly my favourite beauty product of all time, and it's so cheap and not full of ingredients you can't pronounce! 😍
+Hannah Davis Whether or not you can pronounce an ingredient has nothing to do with its quality... Coconut oil is highly comodogenic and not suitable for many people's skin, unless they want terrible breakouts.
+I Makeup Stuff Yeah the whole "if you can't pronounce it, means it's not good for you" thing has really affected the the beauty world negatively. And you're right, coconut oil is comedogenic.
I can't recommend the Vitamin E skincare line by Superdrug's own brand. It's absolutely amazing. The Hot Cloth Cleanser is sublime and that's the most expensive product at around the 5.99 mark. The Moisture Boost Facial Serum is beautiful, as is the Leave on Moisture Mask. It's the only line that didn't break me out or irritate my skin. The Body Shop skincare line is gorgeous too, the Chamomile cleansing oil is particularly gorgeous, but a bit more expensive.
I also have a tendency to be oily skinned and the Superdrug Vitamin E tange is superb on my skin, and my sister who has dry skin loves all it at well and moisturises her dry patches. It's PERFECT.
I love the Nspa hydrating facial oil. The smell is devine and only around £5? Really loved UB this cleansing oil but found it wasn't great at taking off my eye make up. But I really did notice my skin was "plumped" the morning after. Massive thumbs up! Yet to try anything from la Roche posay but I'm going to have to now after watching this x
NSpa is so incredibly underrated! I never hear about them from beauty youtubers. It's available here in Canada. I tried their hot cloth cleanser and loved it! It smells amazing too. I definitely want to try their face oil now!
+elepop neither have I. I was wondering if a load of people were going to tell me the stuff in it isn't good for your skin or something but I've never had a problem with it breaking me out or anything. Like I said the smell is soooo good and I never have dry skin in winter using this. I tend to alternate between using this and the origins overnight mask each night..again another one with a heavenly scent. Glad to see others love it as much as I do.
Thought I would add this to the comments as it's coming to that time of year. La Roche-Posay do a Cicaplast intensive moisturiser which is very similar in packaging and in gel consistency to the Efficlar Duo and it is a GODSEND when you have super dry flakey skin. Especially around the nose after a head cold! Another great one is Avene Cleanance K. It's a gel chemical exfoliator that seriously does wonders. I put in on my massive forehead when it looks dry and dull and it just does something to it that sorts it all out. Also, using it on top of active spots seems to calm them a lot (not completely) and I also used it on top of cystic acne scaring along my jaw line and you would never know I had it thanks to this exfoliant. Top banana stuff! However, I don't find the Efficlar Duo or the serozinc spray very effective. I don't feel they do much. Let me know what any of you guys think! X
So funny, I bought the Una Brennan oil last week and was so annoyed that I didn't realise it was a wash off oil. Just decided to use it as an overnight oil, seems to be working well for me too, thanks Anna!
This video was sooo useful! Will definitely be picking some of these bits up when I run out of my current things. Also, my mum uses the Olay tinted moisturiser as like a day time base ....??
I've never tried anything from Una Brennan but I really need to now! I'm also such a Caroline Hirons girl and basically don't buy anything unless I've seen her recommend it, so I can't wait to try that range :) such a helpful video, as always! x
Anna you look absolutely beautiful, you're glowing! I just had to let you know that I've bought the Una Brennan Cleansing Oil, Una Brennan Vitamin C Glow Boost Skin Serum and Olay tinted Moisturizer since watching this, because I suffer with very bad skin due to hormonal imbalance, and I'm hoping that with a proper skincare routine, I can start to change that (by eating a lot more healthily I am improving it already), I also plan to get everything else when my loan comes in in January haha. I also wanted to say you're such a lovely, calming presence on RUclips and such an inspiration for me!Love, TGCF x
Great video! I would have loved for you to have included a face mask as I feel that's what's missing from my skincare routine currently. Maybe that could be another video (or potentially one you've already done that I have overlooked!) I am so jealous of your wardrobe, I love that jumper but it's a bit beyond my price range!!! I love the lipstick too and it's a bargain so think I'll grab that and it might, *might* make up for it!!!
This is not anything against Anna but I think there will always be room for new you tubers for the exact reason that many of the current popular beauty youtubers do now use mostly high end products. People will always want to know about new and upcoming drugstore products not just old favourites.
+E Webb For good reason though. A great majority of skincare products from the drugstore are crap. I don't use any drug store products on my face other than cetaphil. Nothing wrong with wanting the best formulations for your skincare.
+MsAsb1990 Anna has lovely skin but I've seen many youtubers on her use 'the best' and still not have very great skin. Just goes to show lifestyle is the most important. Eat well, excercise, don't smoke, get plenty of sleep and you won't have to buy £100 face oils.
6Coley That actually isn't true. Eating clean and exercising doesn't always equate to clear skin (especially when hormones are involved). I eat a clean diet, exercise 4-5x/week, low stress and if I stopped using my 2% salicylic acid and vitamin e serum my skin would be shit. I know this because I've went a week without my products. Not to mention I'm african american, which means I'm prone to Post inflammatory hyperpigmentaiton and need all the help I can get.
+MsAsb1990 genetics also play a part. I'm lucky I have pretty perfect skin and my mums 40 with no deep wrinkles. My point is I feel like some people see a price of a product and feel they can rely on it. If you eat rubbish foods, a serum is not a substitute.
just a quick note, would definitely not recommend the una brennan cleansing oil if you have oily skin. when i was in the uk, i was very quick to snap it up due to anna's recommendations, however left a horrible residue on my (very oily) skin and i ended up having to palm it off to a friend with super dry skin (who loves it.).
Love your videos Anna! The Olay tinted moisturiser broke me out so bad and I didn't see any results (tanning wise) do you have any other recommendations?Xx
I don't know how it is priced in the uk, but I feel like la roche posay is quite pricey in the us! I think it's just as expensive a department store brands like kiehls or origins or Clinique
dying to know what those powdery , dry and really matte spf's you were referring to in the video!!! its exactly what im looking for!! if anyone else knows, pls help me!
this was a god send for my new student life thank you!! would you be able to recommend a good exfoliator from the drugstore too? i tried the soap and glory one but it didn't really work out for me haha x
Heads up, I love Avène Cicalfate for mild eczema which I sometimes get around my eyes. It was recommended to me by a pharmacist for precisely that, and she was absolutely right, it really works.

Cicalfate is not for dryness! It's a zinc oxide cream which is fantastic for calming rashes and irritation but it can be quite drying, despite it's thick texture.
Hi Anna! I love the Una Brennan serum for the brightening effect, but it peels off my skin once I put my moisturiser on? Wonder if anyone else has this!? x
does the cicalfate work under makeup? and is it supposed to help with redness...? +i tried it because my skin's been flaking (wearing the origins drink up intensive mask religiously just doesn't cut it) and it worked after like 2 applications!!
+Nikki-Lee Batt I´m sorry to say that but seeing what toxins Anna slathers on herslf everyday I would not ask her about ingredient advise ;) I recommend checking out people like "makeup TIA" or "lamouretlamusique" "Green bunny" and "aestethika" here on youtube ;) Or terry myahira
Anyone have any recommendations for a drugstore priced everyday moisturiser, for dry skin that is acne prone? (Acne due to change in weather) thanks :(((
+Latesha Brown Maybe because she doesn't find them effective, don't like the ingredients, or because they just don't work? I've tried all those products throughout the years and wouldn't put anything drugstore on my face, except cetaphil.
Latesha Brown I completely understand and I was the same when I was a student. It's just idk how people expect her to recommend products that she hasn't used or doesn't use. I used to use cerave, cetaphil and stride salicylic acid on my skin when I was a student. Maybe I can help you make an affordable routine? +MsAsb1990 You are right, but I think the reason why people are complaning is that the title is a little deceiving. These are hardly drugstore prices. It can be drugstore to Anna, cause she generally uses ridiculously expensive stuff, but not for many people.
+Ju M. Yah exactly! I use boots all the time and I am unfamiliar with all of these brands! I really like Anna so I was just a bit disappointed at this video and I thought it was finally going to have products in it that I can afford! I think her introduction about being a student and all that was a bit hypocritical as well, because she says that she understands about being on a budget but these products don't reflect that! Also, I completely understand that she wants to include products that she likes and fair enough that they are mostly expensive but I just don't get it sometimes. I'm 22 and can't afford most of the things she talks about and I know most of her subscribers are younger than me so I just feel like when she makes a video that is 'budget' or 'drugstore' it should cater to younger viewers. Maybe everyone will disagree but I don't know any students that go to Space N K...
Definitely don't think that just cause something is sold in Boots means it's "drugstore", Boots sell Chanel. I'd only say that the Olay is the only real drugstore option here, usually I love your videos but this was a bit... yeah.
I've been wanting to try La Roche Posay for soooo long! Loving your hair btw! Xoxo
+KathleenLights

I LOVE the Una Brennan facial oil too and I keep finding it at TJ Maxx for so cheap! It's a beautiful line of products.
anna you should try the koh gen do aqua foundation. you would LOVE it. the most skin-like foundation finish ever
Such a great edit Anna! Loved it. *notes... notes...* 😂❤️

MsAsb1990
Yes, exactly!
+I Makeup Stuff Yep. Broke me out like hell. And it didn't even seem to moisturise my dry patches.
I swear by all La Roche de Posay products. They're amazing!
Always enjoy your videos Anna! If you're ever in the mood to try a new eye cream, Enchanted Eye by Lush has been my HG for years! xx
Thanks Anna! Will be heading to London, then Wales next week from the US, so these will be good to pick up! 🌞
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR A VIDEO LIKE THIS! Love the way you talk about products
Love this - SO many things I've added to my list! I start working in Boots next week... I think all my wages will be spent in store! X

Love that SPF from LRP too, it is good one
Always nice to see a drugstore products video :)
Just what I needed when trying to get a good skin care routine! Thank you x
I was literally just looking yesterday if any of my favorite beauty youtubers had drugstore skin care suggestions! Great timing :)
uriage and bioderma products are amazing for any skin type!
This is the most helpful video for us Students! Thanks Anna xxx

+Helz Belz oh thanks I'll have to have a look x
just ordered the una brennan cleansing oil and the pore purifying clay mask that she does. excited to try them!
Thanks for doing a skincare video! I have acne/oily skin and I'm always on the hunt for inexpensive skincare. Love you, Anna! :D

just a quick note, would definitely not recommend the una brennan cleansing oil if you have oily skin. when i was in the uk, i was very quick to snap it up due to anna's recommendations, however left a horrible residue on my (very oily) skin and i ended up having to palm it off to a friend with super dry skin (who loves it.).
this was so helpful, thank you so much xxx
i go to uni of notts and wanna know how you did £5 nights out!! like pre's are a £5, then entry and drinks in there? we always walk home too!
really appreciate you making this video!
Love your videos Anna! The Olay tinted moisturiser broke me out so bad and I didn't see any results (tanning wise) do you have any other recommendations?Xx
Thank you for this Anna! Great video, off to boots for some Una Brennan #pleasebeon3for2 🙏🏼
I don't know how it is priced in the uk, but I feel like la roche posay is quite pricey in the us! I think it's just as expensive a department store brands like kiehls or origins or Clinique
Hi Anna, i really like la roche posay products, they're good!!!
I really want to try this C range now :)
dying to know what those powdery , dry and really matte spf's you were referring to in the video!!! its exactly what im looking for!! if anyone else knows, pls help me!
The soap and glory one 👍🏼 I have the most oily skin and its very good
biore milk sunscreen!!! its very liquid and leaves a powdery dry smooth finish
Hannah Slough Lubz26 Thank you guys so much! Will be checking those out for sure. :)
Cicalfate is actually some kind of healing balm for irritated skin. It is really good for blotchy skin, pimples, scratches....
love this!
this was a god send for my new student life thank you!! would you be able to recommend a good exfoliator from the drugstore too? i tried the soap and glory one but it didn't really work out for me haha x
the body shop ones are really good!
the body shop ones are really good!
love this ❤❤
Heads up, I love Avène Cicalfate for mild eczema which I sometimes get around my eyes. It was recommended to me by a pharmacist for precisely that, and she was absolutely right, it really works.
Really useful video thank you Anna!!:))x
I also used to love the Olay Complete Everyday Sunshine when I was about 19 and I also bought it about a month ago from nostalgic reasons :D I agree that the formula did not change...but my skin has changed since then and I don't like it as much anymore. Anyway great video I'm always searching for good affordable skincare ;) thanx
Wonder if anyone else has this!? x
hey Anna can you please do a student skincare video please :) Maybe all of the products could be under 5 pounds
+31sophieyoutub I'm confused that she claimed to use these as a student. Superfacialist by uni Brennan is a relatively new brand :s
+6Coley yeah I agree but also just that la roche possay is very expensive!
+31sophieyoutub oh I must have heard it wrong
does the cicalfate work under makeup? and is it supposed to help with redness...?
+i tried it because my skin's been flaking (wearing the origins drink up intensive mask religiously just doesn't cut it) and it worked after like 2 applications!!
+ViviannaDoesMakeup thank you for acknowledging the student struggles! 😅 In serious need of budget skincare options.
You mentioned ingredients a few times; I wonder if you could inform us what type of ingredients to be looking for and/or avoiding please? Thanks! x
+Nikki-Lee Batt I´m sorry to say that but seeing what toxins Anna slathers on herslf everyday I would not ask her about ingredient advise ;)
I recommend checking out people like "makeup TIA" or "lamouretlamusique" "Green bunny" and "aestethika" here on youtube ;)
Or terry myahira
+The Green .Way talk about impartial. Not every good ingredient is ""natural"". Inform yourself, please.
I love your accent and the way you pronounce french words, you are so cute ^^
Anyone have any recommendations for a drugstore priced everyday moisturiser, for dry skin that is acne prone? (Acne due to change in weather) thanks :(((
Niveal moisturisers are really good for most skin types and cheap x
Nivea*
neutrogena hydra boost
this is still sooooooo expensive! what happened to good old simple, l'oreal, garnier...
+Latesha Brown Maybe because she doesn't find them effective, don't like the ingredients, or because they just don't work? I've tried all those products throughout the years and wouldn't put anything drugstore on my face, except cetaphil.
+MsAsb1990 fair enough, I didn't mean it in s bad way it's just I am a student and couldn't afford to spend 10 or 15 pounds on one product
I love Avene! Greetings from Cali
it's a super bummer that they sell La Roche Posay items in my local pharmacies but not the zero zinc and i can't order it online :(
What is mineral oil? I always hear about it, but i don't know what ingredient in a product is mineral oil.
It will just say mineral oil :)
Or paraffinium liquidum
Considering boots sell benefit and Clinique I wouldn't class everything in there as drugstore. These prices are still way out of my budget :(
Definitely don't think that just cause something is sold in Boots means it's "drugstore", Boots sell Chanel. I'd only say that the Olay is the only real drugstore option here, usually I love your videos but this was a bit... yeah.
these might be drugstore but they are still expensive
SHE CANT MOVE HER TOP LIP WEEEEIIRRRDDD
i like urine
girl! ur foundationis way too pale haha
