As of june 2023, considering the previous patches (most notably CP scaling that damaged the majority of supports) and the release of all 4th classes i think the list should be updated. If you want to be free to play and also have a life outside this game then very probably you will not be able to get to endgame and so the list of best classes would be Elsword: KE Aisha: Oz Rena: DaB, AN Raven: FB, RH, NI Eve: CEs, CA Chung: FP, CeT Ara: Devi, SH Elesis: ES, BQ Add: DB, MP Luciel: IN, DiA Rose: PO Ain: no one Laby: TP Noah: CL, MO They are characters that are either medium power but good resources, medium resources but good power or good power and good resources. Unless you pick one of this classes Oz, AN CEs, CA, Devi, SH, IN, PO, TP, CL (*) then you need another character to farm ED and the best are Sariel or one of the (*) list
When i returned to the game i picked Ain and went to the Herrsher path, all cool and fun until i hit Elryanode. I did'nt do any damage at all, then i saw he was extremely nerfed and weak despite of having really good passives. The event of Noah came bringing Nyx Pieta to the game, he is my new main now, decent damage for a support and extremely good in raids, i just love his playstyle and skills. I'm at the EU server by the way.
I'm a veteran player so it's good to see videos like this to help new people :) I would use Celestia more but my poor PC cannot handle him 😂 My main is Apsara(I'll change to Shakti when free job change comes) and all my alts are Ed gain alts to farm SDs for easy ED. Very easy way for new people to make ED too! 1-1.3 mil(or more depending on party and luto gives more) a run! :D
@@calebhoungbo898 I might be late to tell you this, but shakti has some support kits and have decent damage too as dps. clearing is undoubtly very decent. The thing is unless you pick up the orbs from the passive, her mana cost is (imo) expensive. so i go with devi, she's more focused to dps, and almost doesnt have any supporting skill. Her clearing is also very decent BUT her dmg, no matter what size the boss is, is INSANE And more importantly, her mana consumption is pretty low compared to other class (all the 3 main bravery skills only costs 150mp). so as a devi main i suggest you try her out if you havent o/
I agree with most of them, however I would recommend making Laby/Noah as secondary character at start simply because characters before 'em get more ED from story quest and I do believe Laby and Noah are still a little bit on a pricy site in terms of gearing, simply because they are a bit newer. On the other hand they tend to do better with lower upgrade level on gear, so maybe it kinda balances out... Well, the most important thing is enjoying the character I guess c:
@@PawClow thats not how elsword works. Newer characters are most of the time cheaper w IBs. Laby's are rly dirt cheap aside from very very specific ones (kinda like every char has an IB that is more expenesive only for them) ' ^' well, at least in NA
I started playing the game 7 years ago with Metamorphy (then Dimension Witch) just because of the Sailormoon references lol Then for a long time after Add's release I mained Lunatic Psyker (now Doombringer). I play a lot of chars nowadays but I still go back to these two above. As for your video, I agree with what you've explained, especially when it comes to CE xD I was never feeling alone in a dungeon thanks to her servants.
Its crazy to see how many new players there are, when I started playing Ara was the new character, played for a few years heavily then mostly stopped I would occasionally check back in once or twice a year to see how the game was doing at one point I thought they were just going to shut the NA servers down but anyway my first character was GA then I fell in love with DC and mained him ever since until I just got back into it made a Bloody Queen
I recommend to pick the character that you like the most, if you don't enjoy to play that char, u're going to get tired of the game, i think this video is only a guide to help you find your main or a secondary Main. Anyways, all classes in this video are pretty fun to use (mostly Chung) even if you don't know anything about the game (pick Chung), just avoid Raven and you'll be fine (all Chung's classes are powerful).
Yee ~these classes are easy to use and gd performance thorough out the game , is actually more of an alt recommendation instead of helping to find main 🤣 but i found these classes are good for exploring the game
is raven that bad? lol. i like his style tho. i plan to play chung but he seems 'clunky' because i dont know how to manage his ammo and mana well in early game. his normal attack is a bit slow too even tho i like his awaken form

I want to ask regarding character slot/skill slot/item slot/inventory slot extender, are they still cash only items or can we get them through f2p way? I really want to play the official version, but i stop doing it because of that. After lvl 25+, it's hard to manage inventory, especially when there's so many contents and events that need to be done. I haven't play the official version for more than 5 yrs.

To elaborate on the information of the video: Base Eve has one of the most awkward starts out of all the characters. Her first two skills aren't difficult to use but awkwards as I said. Illusion Stinger often doesn't have full hits, but it's a straight attack at least. The Esencia path is the easiest out of the three. For Ultimate, early game will spent doing combos while in Queen's Throne if you don't want to be spending potion after potion, and for Sariel, most skills have hitboxes that make it hard to clear until you get Energetic Heart, and even then the gameplay requires practice. Esencia is easy, regains mana fast and has the electron ball active that becomes OP while having two minions out. She is also awkward until you unlock Oberon, but that's just like 10 levels? So it's a few mintues of getting to know the new combos and that's it. Although I don't have experience with the Cata path, all Lu/Ciel paths are very convenient to use. Diangelion has that weird switch combo which I never mastered before I switched to Innocent while thinking I'll be able to go back... I couldn't, so now I'm stuck with Innocent. The main bossing problem with them is the positioning of your main damage dealing skills. Rain of Chaos and Shadow Bolt require the bosses being right below, Mag cannon homes in and can be dispersed if timed improperly, and Ascaton is better for T H I C C monsters. For Diangelion, the pacing is much faster while attacking. It's about spamming Bloodlust, then Ciel's petrifying skill, then Lu's skill that gets boosted by bloodlust, then another Ciel skill, then enter manic form. Lu'c manic form is better for bossing, I'd say, while Ciel's help covering distance and clears better. Trascendance helps with the mana usage of the manic forms, and I think it's more fun bringing them both in the skill slots. Also, it's worth mentioning I only had to use res stones after switching to Innocent, I never died as Dia (Demonio in the stage I was in).
We need some Cata info? I can supply. Even tho Cata isn't as mana efficient as the other two paths, she is still pretty mana friendly cause of the base job mechanics (double mp bars & combination skills) She specializes in destroying bosses especially small ones but her clearing is a bit below average (even more so in parties) Sadly, her early game feels garbage due to the fact that you get her first (important) clearing skill at lvl 95 and you 3rd job passives make almost all the difference But I like playing as a juggernaut so she is so much fun for me
Oh, this is great. I returned to play as Lu-Ciel because I'm a sucker for Araragi and Shinobu's relationship in monogatari, but I couldn't just not go back to Eve like at the beginning. Btw. Something I forgot mentioning is that refreshing the nasod sentry and using electron ball active before its sprite disappears sometimes causes the dead sentry to also release an electron ball. Which is pretty nifty before getting Oberon.
For now my most played and first chars are FB and Bluhen (yeah I came in going hardcore), and I plan on also playing a lot of characters, mainly RM and DB. But Oz really starts interesting me, and she has my favorite design out of the female characters. Even though I had heard of Raven being a difficult character to start with, when I saw the FB design and animations I just couldn't say no to maining him.

Late, but loved the video. Joined the game back when Raven came out and started with Void Princess (love her character design, but I suck at playing her). I can definitely agree with this video. Actually a Eve main, and play a little of everything for fun. Curious if you'll update/ make a new video with the 4th path coming out for the characters.
New player here. My first pick is noah just coz i like his vibe. Planning to go his second path, and tried to look it up. Imagine my surprise when i saw that it's skills looks like outerspace lol. I love it even more coz i like anything outerspaceXD
first character i made when i play this game back to 2013 is Code: Nemesis (back then the class down path is only 2), i play well until 2016 when real life hitting so hard, then come back to play again 2 days ago and try creating the 4th class of elesis.
I started playing this game when Ain's 3rd path release. My first pick is Ain then go for his 2nd path. I struggled at first to his difficult mechanics but soon learned it. I'm always looking forward playing this game back then but now I'm just logged in then AFK all around kinda lost what to do since I'm just a F2P player and RNG is not on my side lol
I would recommend Add's 3rd Path the Paradox. He has basically 2 mana-bars, quite strong mana-regen, reviving buff with a CD-reduce and quite strong and wide-ranging skills.
When I first entered the game, I picked Rena Twilight. and she was really easy to use. Playing that character felt like being an assassin especially with her skills like Karma and Innocent. Those skills were crazy bizarre and awesome. However, unfortunately, I haven't logged in for 6 months and I forgot the name of my account, so I made a new account and start back from scratch, but, this time with Rena Day Breaker and she is also gave me the same feeling I had when I was playing as Rena Twilight back then. However, without Karma and Innocent, I just feel incomplete.It's a huge shame really, so I've once I OPed Rena Day Breaker, I'm gonna start back from scratch with Rena Twilight.

Hello! Im pretty much a newbie, so i just wanna ask if the elrianode equipment stats are the same for all classes of a character? Like, I created a Rune Master and I got the elrianode equipment with a destruction slot stat for increase damage of Triple Geyser. So will it also have the same stat, especially for the destruction slot, whether I change my class or create a new character for elsword?
the skill dmg slot wont converted to another class if you share it to difference character , so u should choose a main and put ur desired skill , sharing the gear normally is for alt to do different stuff like raids . but u can also just obtain another set by clearing the quest , the quest is per character ~
I'm a huge fan of distance range attackers like Rena and Eve, but, Eve is a little difficult forme to control. Especially that fact that her damages are slightly weaker.
i might be late to tell you this, but YES if you like devi, you should xD pros: - *Insane* bossing dmg even with small bosses, also will produce even bigger dmg if the bigger the boss is - Has many ignore defense passive which is useful at endgame (+point on bossing) - Unlimited energy after 3rd job (she can regenerate 1 energy per sec when awaken with any beads, with 3rd job passive) - Decent clearing (mod raksasa inferno has insane range) - Decent mp cost (2 main damaging skill, and 1 ultimate clearing skill, which are all braveries only cost 150mp each, only raksasa stance are the most expensive) - has a ressurection passive (altho it wont work on multi hit killing blows) cons: - bad early game - might need some understanding in her skill rotation, and her passice for bossing - almost doesnt provide any supportabilites - might get nerfed(?) idk As a devi main that's all i can tell, good luck if you (have/had) decided to jc to devi o/

Prime Operator is way better then this ones, you need to put your Mecha kill stuff for you when you walk for the next stage of the dungeon. You can have even 3 mecha in total at the same time, you can leterally walk in the map watching every NPC destroyed in seconds.
I used to play this game about 3 or 4 years, back when Apostasia had just been released, if i come back, will Apostasia, Bluhen, Dreadlord (dont remember his 3rd job) or Demonio struggle to level up? These used to be my fav characters

I pick Lord Knight back in 2011 because i thought he is just very basic and i find basic ones to be really badass. Imagine climbing your way to the top in PvP ladder with LK and you get to fight annoying classes like Elemental Master, Wind Sneaker and you're just a fking Lord Knight because being Lord Knight player means life is hard in elsword.

there so much DPS class now lul , but most of them dun have Gd mp management since character balance , most character has 1(or2) dps class , maybe pick the chacacter you like first ?

Idk but in early game all chung is not rly good bcs they chug your pot like you chug your wallet on gacha, but for end game CC and Cent is good for raid i think, fp good bcs you can final form everytime but in raid.....i guess not rly ; w ;
right now Elboy - Gen , Eve - CA , Rena - TW, Luciel - Dia , Noah - Lib are some of the top tier meta dps (but u cant guarantee any nerf will come towards them in the future lul)
i just dont have the gear to build him up lul he has awesome damage and clearing , but i'd like to play supporting class more since i mainly do raids now
Raven add and ain are not very new players friendly in general (IMO) most of them become gd after 3 job , so I won’t really recommend them in easy early game

I always thought the Magical girl class was very different from other mmorpgs so I loved playing Metamorphy 😂

Even tho Cata isn't as mana efficient as the other two paths, she is still pretty mana friendly cause of the base job mechanics (double mp bars & combination skills)
She specializes in destroying bosses especially small ones but her clearing is a bit below average (even more so in parties)
Sadly, her early game feels garbage due to the fact that you get her first (important) clearing skill at lvl 95 and you 3rd job passives make almost all the difference
But I like playing as a juggernaut so she is so much fun for me
Oh, this is great. I returned to play as Lu-Ciel because I'm a sucker for Araragi and Shinobu's relationship in monogatari, but I couldn't just not go back to Eve like at the beginning.
Btw. Something I forgot mentioning is that refreshing the nasod sentry and using electron ball active before its sprite disappears sometimes causes the dead sentry to also release an electron ball. Which is pretty nifty before getting Oberon.
For now my most played and first chars are FB and Bluhen (yeah I came in going hardcore), and I plan on also playing a lot of characters, mainly RM and DB. But Oz really starts interesting me, and she has my favorite design out of the female characters. Even though I had heard of Raven being a difficult character to start with, when I saw the FB design and animations I just couldn't say no to maining him.
lmaooooo the way Rose isn't even in this vid HAHAHA Minerva was one of the earliest class I played (Eve Code Esencia was my very first character), and yes, as a beginner, she wasn't the easiest to pilot
Anyway, great video as always! Also, can you do a video about the game stats (maximize, critical, etc etc)? bc personally I still don't understand them up until now HAHAHA!

first character i made when i play this game back to 2013 is Code: Nemesis (back then the class down path is only 2), i play well until 2016 when real life hitting so hard, then come back to play again 2 days ago and try creating the 4th class of elesis.

I started playing this game when Ain's 3rd path release. My first pick is Ain then go for his 2nd path. I struggled at first to his difficult mechanics but soon learned it. I'm always looking forward playing this game back then but now I'm just logged in then AFK all around kinda lost what to do since I'm just a F2P player and RNG is not on my side lol

I would recommend Add's 3rd Path the Paradox. He has basically 2 mana-bars, quite strong mana-regen, reviving buff with a CD-reduce and quite strong and wide-ranging skills.
Mp Indeed a very nice class , but his passive won’t hit till trans and beyond , that’s why I didn’t put him in
When I first entered the game, I picked Rena Twilight. and she was really easy to use.
Playing that character felt like being an assassin especially with her skills like Karma and Innocent.
Those skills were crazy bizarre and awesome.
However, unfortunately, I haven't logged in for 6 months and I forgot the name of my account, so I made a new account and start back from scratch, but, this time with Rena Day Breaker and she is also gave me the same feeling I had when I was playing as Rena Twilight back then.
However, without Karma and Innocent, I just feel incomplete.It's a huge shame really, so I've once I OPed Rena Day Breaker, I'm gonna start back from scratch with Rena Twilight.

Hello! Im pretty much a newbie, so i just wanna ask if the elrianode equipment stats are the same for all classes of a character? Like, I created a Rune Master and I got the elrianode equipment with a destruction slot stat for increase damage of Triple Geyser. So will it also have the same stat, especially for the destruction slot, whether I change my class or create a new character for elsword?
the skill dmg slot wont converted to another class if you share it to difference character , so u should choose a main and put ur desired skill , sharing the gear normally is for alt to do different stuff like raids . but u can also just obtain another set by clearing the quest , the quest is per character ~
I'm a huge fan of distance range attackers like Rena and Eve, but, Eve is a little difficult forme to control.
Especially that fact that her damages are slightly weaker.

I am an Apsara main planning to JC to Devi but still thinking if its the right decision to choose Devi
i might be late to tell you this, but YES if you like devi, you should xD
pros:
- *Insane* bossing dmg even with small bosses, also will produce even bigger dmg if the bigger the boss is
- Has many ignore defense passive which is useful at endgame (+point on bossing)
- Unlimited energy after 3rd job (she can regenerate 1 energy per sec when awaken with any beads, with 3rd job passive)
- Decent clearing (mod raksasa inferno has insane range)
- Decent mp cost (2 main damaging skill, and 1 ultimate clearing skill, which are all braveries only cost 150mp each, only raksasa stance are the most expensive)
- has a ressurection passive (altho it wont work on multi hit killing blows)
cons:
- bad early game
- might need some understanding in her skill rotation, and her passice for bossing
- almost doesnt provide any supportabilites
- might get nerfed(?) idk

yeah she's so excellent rn for an endgame dps class.
It's true that Aps bossing dmg is below average, but she does great in other aspect, like clearing, mp refund and/ cost, and as a buffer/debuffer for raids.

Prime Operator is way better then this ones, you need to put your Mecha kill stuff for you when you walk for the next stage of the dungeon. You can have even 3 mecha in total at the same time, you can leterally walk in the map watching every NPC destroyed in seconds.
I used to play this game about 3 or 4 years, back when Apostasia had just been released, if i come back, will Apostasia, Bluhen, Dreadlord (dont remember his 3rd job) or Demonio struggle to level up? These used to be my fav characters

I pick Lord Knight back in 2011 because i thought he is just very basic and i find basic ones to be really badass. Imagine climbing your way to the top in PvP ladder with LK and you get to fight annoying classes like Elemental Master, Wind Sneaker and you're just a fking Lord Knight because being Lord Knight player means life is hard in elsword.

Idk but in early game all chung is not rly good bcs they chug your pot like you chug your wallet on gacha, but for end game CC and Cent is good for raid i think, fp good bcs you can final form everytime but in raid.....i guess not rly ; w ;
FP can give a few good buffs in raid, but I will agree that the other two are wanted in raid much more
