A player with a little controlled swag is good. If Johnson can channel his emotions, the right coach, Self, he will be dangerous.
Self and staff may be who he needs for 1-2 years. This is a great challenge for both coaches and player.
I watched McDowel and he seems patient and team first type player. He doesn’t over play.
I’ve seen Elmarko clips and he seems well rounded. He will bring Chalmers/Graham type player more than Dotson. Dotson was much like Juan.
If the chemistry develops, they have a great upside.
I’m concerned about an MJ Rice transfer. Rice seems to be struggling with Self’s system. Cuff has never worked out for different reasons.
But, perimeter play is going to be dependent upon who can fit into Self’s system sooner than later.

Completely agree on Jackson, will be a good one for us.. I think Chris Johnson has a chance to be a really good player for self, like you said he needs to buy in and I think self can control him or he’ll be replaced 🤷🏻‍♂️, but I like his potential.. and McDowell, reminds me of a little better Travis Releford maybe?? Going to be a really good defender but will need work on offensive end
