I just wish that as the time to possibly retire draws ever closer, I hope that Bill Self will decide he wants to keep doing this much longer. Truth is that Roy Williams said that he thinks he may have retired a bit too early….at 71. Look at Bill Belichick. The man is 72 and starting a new career coaching college football at UNC. Coach K stayed on at Duke until he was 75. PLEASE Coach Self, please be like Coach K or even Jim Boeheim at Syracuse!! Was Self implying that he might not be here in 5 years or so?

Kansas is fine.

Another embarrassment from Self and Chumphawks. Self has had 9 3rd rd or earlier exits in the tournament, the last 2 years have been horrible, and the last 2 losses to Creighton and Missouri have been complete and utter embarrassments. The fact that Self brought Dickerson and Harris here and they are playing, is enough to be fired. Those 2 have no business being Jayhawks. This has been one of the worst rosters in KU history. Coach glazing is why we had to deal with Roy Williams for so long without a championship. KU is a blue blood and should have more than 2 championships in 21 years, if you add in the Williams years, 2 in 33 years. Winning the big 12 and/or going to the ncaa tournament isn't acceptable for KU.I've been a KU fan long before these players and coaches got to KU and I'll be one long after they are gone. I'm a KU fan, not a coach or player fan. If any of these guys were at another program, I wouldn't be route for them. I will hold them to the KU standard, if they don't up hold it, I will call them out. No one on that court deserves to be called Jayhawks, they are chumphawks.

Shout out to the chubby guy behind you that looked like he was planning to run up that hill. As for basketball, unless Bill Self has lost his touch, which I doubt, then the players are the problem. Hunter Dickinson should be a great player but KU has not been great with him on the team. The roster does not have the right complementary ingredients to make a great meal. At best KU is fettucine alfredo.

If Kansas had standards they would be looking for a new coach

K-State fan here. Both KU & KSU men's bball teams are struggling right now. I believe a big part of this has to do with the negative aspects of the Transfer Portal. It greatly hinders team chemistry & makes it extremely difficult on a year-to-year basis to build a winning culture within a program. Teams can get lucky and make the Transfer Portal work and have 1-year turnarounds, but it doesn't happen very often. In my recollection, Self's most successful teams in the past (most notably his Final Four & Championship teams) have always had a core group of multi-year players that stuck around and developed alongside with young 5-star freshmen as a team. Yes, they do have seniors that have stuck around on this roster (KJ Adams, Dajuan Harris, Hunter), but as of right now it doesn't seem like it's the right combination of core veterans that are going to mesh with the new guys. Only time will tell, but Self does have a good track record of making it work.

You lose on road because refs aren’t furiously cheating for you.

This team is allergic to seeking contact and getting to the foul line. I see this as problem number 1. Driving to get fouled and finishing at the rim puts SO much pressure on opponents defensively and from a foul perspective and allows you to score with the clock stopped. This team doesn't even try to do it, evidenced by the massive free throw disparity this year. On defense, guards look slow and can't keep their man in front of them, and HD does almost nothing to erase defensive perimeter mistakes while compounding defensive deficiencies in pick and roll. Bill has a lot to figure out with this group. Also when was the last time Bill ran the weave to open up driving lanes?

Could it be you're just not as good as they have you rated? You was soundly beaten at Creighton and Mizzou, back to back! You can't say that both of those teams was off nights! Mizzou let up in this game! That was the only reason why Kansas was able to get back in this game.

I agree and disagree. Zeke deserves to start, he is been our best player most of this year. Yes, RG and AJ need to play more but they both look uninterested most of the time they are in. I think some of their minutes need to come from KJ’s but idk if Bill will do that…

Storr is MIA. I agree with KJ. This is no longer a rivalry. The rivalry was over when Fizzou went to the SEC. I was around in the B8. There is no rivalry. KU and KSU is a rivalry. The media has hyped the KU/Fizzou games as a rivalry.

It's a lot to do with coaching. Different players same team as last year. Different shooters same terrible 3 point %. Same poor 3point defense. HD has actively gotten worse since being coached by HCBS. HD was hanging 20 and 30 points on teams when he first came to KU. Now he scores 6 some games and spends most of the offensive possessions around the arc doing God knows what. He does the same on Defense then can't get back to cover his own man. The sky isnt falling they've probably had a bad week. But some of these things year after year are concerning.. Edit: I touched on coaching because most KU fans will not criticize Bill at all and i find that ridiculous.

Ku is quite overrated. Easy to see. They getting decisively defeated now back to back.

KU will always be soft as long as Hunter Dickinson starts. Use Floury and the new guys if you want a chance. This Hunter experiment needs to end.
