awesome vid! hey curious no-one will respond to my question, I listened to rob o'neill on a podcast talking about the luttrell rescue and a attack on a peninsula town in iraq and he said they had to walk in etc. My question is why didn't they parachute from high altitude into those situations?? It seems to me it would be a lot faster and covert??
Ok. So that is an interesting problem, because I am no expert, too. To analyse a problem we need to check all possible reasons or causes. Such as: No airplane available, radar in place, no place to land the plane to enter the plane, but the target being close, the parachute needs to be hidden, the parachutist needs a place to land which is no rocks or trees, they would not expect someone walking in at all, they had an informant or collaborator that showed or opened a gate or door and using a parachute would no advantage. they carried heavier stuff and did not tell about....any more ideas?? and than we compare that to given facts ending up with a list of more or less likely reasons. The real once may remain under a confidential stamp.

@@christopherwall3539 Me neither. I'd ask if we can land, possibly or maybe fly low and slow so I can jump and swim. But hanging like easy prey on some cloth for possibly several minutes might have me turn up at the medics way before...and don't buy a trust me it's save even the fell goes before me.
