great maccao is one of my least favorite monsters. many have praised it for bringing a real challenge to new players, but, in my experience, it attacks too quickly, too frequently, and too unpredictably. 2:33 is a great example. with most monsters you'll get thrown after the first hit, preventing you from taking more unnecessary and unavoidable chip damage, but not here. you weren't even the target of its attack and still took a bunch of damage.

there's so much patience required to play monster hunter, a ~10 second loading screen is the least maddening of it all.
