      They're taking up too much time talking about things that don't usually matter. It's very hard to listen to all the podcast The only reason why I last night was because of it was about Brianna. And I just want to say that you should be Bruce's choice to be there at crime con. You should not be forcing him to talk his daughters murder... You guys are unbelievable you guys happen a good thing going with Maura, but now you guys should just stop you guys do search online intro too.. but I thought that the two people did a great job

    If I see a vehicle,that was parked, at a abandoned house with the doors open..no one in sight, I would definitely think something's not right.. he knew it was Briannas car. Why wouldn't he call her parents or the state police.? Instead, he shuts the doors and doesn't think nothing of it... then told several lies to the police..something's not right with this situation! Was he that highly intoxicated that night ..? I really hope they figure this out soon..I cant even imagine what her family is going through. ..God bless them and I pray that this gets solved !

      Yeah I think it's time they speak with the ex-boyfriend. His story never made any sense to me. His admission of touching the car is troubling. If I saw any of my ex-girlfriend's cars parked like that (even the evil one) I'd immediately call the police AND her family.
      I'd like to print out that picture of her car backed up into the barn and go out on the street and ask 100 people what they think when they see it. I feel like at least 50-75 of the 100 would say that some type of crime took place at the barn. I first saw this picture when I was watching the Disappeared episode years ago so my point of view is tainted. I'd really like to know what somebody thinks of the picture before they knew it was a suspected murder/kidnapping scene. Somehow the police and the ex-boyfriend managed to see the car up close and not suspect anything happened. How is this possible?!?!

    • @ragnardanneskjold7675
      @ragnardanneskjold7675 4 года назад +2

      Who the hell sees a car of someone they know lights on, smashed into a barn, with the doors open and stuff strewn everywhere and just closes the doors and keeps driving? Like oh I guess she had a rough night!

    • @hbdragon88
      @hbdragon88 4 года назад +1

      Ragnar Danneskjold part of it is just the rural area itself. The police don't come around that often. That's why the trooper who found the car just thought it was a drunk driving incident and had it towed away (instead of running a check if it was something more). Apparently, it's common for drivers who have their car disabled to just get out and get help from the nearest neighbor and worry about the car later.

    This is a frustrating case. The simplest explanation is often the truth .. didn’t someone warn Bri the night before she disappeared? That person holds the key to this. Too much of a coincidence not to be connected.

    • @MrHopsicker
      @MrHopsicker 5 лет назад +2

      That was in a statement given by someone who claimed the person who spoke to her had told them that . The person who supposedly warned her has been interviewed many times and denies any such thing . So at this point we can't rely on that as fact.

      @C&R Mechanical I think a lot of the confusion is due people’s lack of understanding of drug culture. Drug addicts aren’t organized, most of them hate each other because they are always stealing from/ripping off other addicts. They are also a reflection of what that person has become so they’ll dehumanize them in some way by saying “what a mess, I’m not like that and never will be” as they steal their grandma’s jewelry. There are a lot of mental gymnastics they go through to justify their behavior and differentiate themselves from equally or worse off than they are.

    • @RustCole01
      @RustCole01 3 года назад +1

      @@ohsweatbret There are also a buttload of functional drug users. Like regular users, which, as I am typing this, one of the bguests is mentioning this very point.
      Drugs automatically get tied to every bad thing that happens, especially in these unsolved cases. If there is any kind of connection to drugs, that quickly takes the front seat.
      I dunno, I did a few different drugs aggressively for the better part of 15 years and me and the people I did that stuff with, kept our lives very compartmentalized. We all had good jobs, paid our bills and maintained our normal existence with the non drug-users in our lives. Most of us ended up with families and continue to do school pick-ups and coach sports but also do some weekend recreational outtings. Drug culture exists but it is more of a media cliche that gets attached to crime shows.
      Maybe I live in some kind of white-privileged version of drug culture but violence and danger have never played any role in it and were never even something I'd worry about. I thought Bri seemed to fit closer into my category of drug enthusiast that is able to thrive as a worker-bee and reward herself with some Jones maintenance. Just my opinion. I just think she may have gotten unlucky with a particular individual....

      @@RustCole01 if she was using crack how was she funding that? She didn’t seem desperate for cash because of the uncashed checks that I believe were found in the car. I think to some extent the type of drug she was using would give clues to the type of issues she may have faced. Very few people can lead a functional life when dependant on opiates or stimulants it’s not just having the cash but the circles you have to move in and the chaos that follows. I know they said she was using more that they thought , I just wonder what impact it was having on her.

    Are you guys familiar with the disappearance of Trish Haynes? She is 26, lived in North Woodstock, NH not too far from Maura Murray's crash site. Went missing over the summer. There are some similarities to Brianna. Young girl, missing in rural New England, history of drug use.
    The case is fresh enough where a podcast could help raise awareness. Might need some Renner level digging to unearth new info. Not much has been reported other than a property and pond search. Crates were removed from the pond, but nothing else was mentioned.

    • @ohsweatbret
      @ohsweatbret 3 года назад

      I don’t think the money is really the issue here. Unless she was walking kilos across the border, she couldn’t have racked up enough money to get disappeared. It would have likely been a beating with the message “your dealer says hi.” They would have either forced her to work it off through pimping, stealing from her family, or running drugs. If she was to be made an example out of, she would have been left in a place to be found implying “you cross this person and you’ll need a closed casket.” Dealing is one thing, murdering someone over a couple hours of crack dealing isn’t worth the time. You have to understand the profits for crack vs cocaine are astronomical. I’ve heard of people blowing $1000+ in a single day on crack. You can easily make $100-300 an hour off a few regular customers.

    It is my feeling that at least 2 people were involved, One hiding in her car waiting for her to leave work and one following behind. After she was attacked from behind 2 minutes into her drive, then they removed her from the barn/car accident scene. If the perpetrator demanded she stop the car from the back seat, this theory is possible.

    • @MrHopsicker
      @MrHopsicker 5 лет назад +2

      We came to the same conclusion also but we always keep an open mind simply because we don't know what happened . It's extremely unlikely that they are connected. Superficially they have similarities but once you look closer they're much different. The proximity in time and distance and the cars alongside a road of course is too hard to not be interested in them both. Also ( just for info purposes )those paychecks were very small . They were each for 1 night of dish washing.

      There would have been more proof if she was running/pushing like vials and tops either in her car or the place she was staying. There is virtually no cell service to this day in that area. That type of dealing really only occurs in the inner city and the dealers are usually within eyesight of their pushers to prevent robberies or running off with the product. She also wouldn’t have been given anything more than a ball which is like $100, they would have made her work it off and maybe tuned her up. $100 is pennies to crack dealer, they can make that off one person in a couple hours

    • @ohsweatbret
      @ohsweatbret 3 года назад

      How exactly did he owe her money? Did he rip her off while middle manning? The problem with that is whoever’s money went missing would likely have gone to the dealer and confronted them. It’s pretty easy to extort a drug dealer and with them being the only 2 non whites in the area that were also criminals it would have been easy to kill them and get a justifiable homicide/self defense. Or just set them up and stage it as a drug related robbery.
