I see you made a tier based horizontal recovery challenge as well. Nice to see you naming the music you used in the description, especially some of the ones that may not be from this same game, although it could've been listed a bit cleaner and tidier like what I do. Also, you should try changing the Right Control Stick to *Special* for most characters, it's called "B-sticking". You can use Up Special or Down Special without sacrificing your horizontal momentum or accidentally using Side Special. Here are some things I want to point out:
*Mario*
His Side Special & Down Special don't really help him horizontally, but his directional air dodge does of course, therefore it's a *4.*
*Fox*
His Forward Air increases vertical momentum of his jumps, which is good for horizontal recovery. Using both Forward Air jumps instead of air dodging gets him even closer to the ledge.
*Sheik & Greninja*
They can barely make it to *5* by optimising their recoveries.
*Marth & Lucina*
Their Side Special moves actually do help them horizontally as well, but they have to quickly midair jump or air dodge to avoid losing horizontal momentum, so they can make it to *4.*
*Young Link*

*Roy & Palutena*
They can barely make it to *4* by optimising their recoveries.
*Zero Suit Samus*
Use the kick during Flip Jump to increase horizontal momentum, so she can make it to *5.*
*King Dedede, Cloud & Ridley*
You overrated them to *5* when they got to *4.* Cloud however can actually make it to *5* by filling up his Limit Gauge while midair jumping to increase vertical momentum. And Ridley can barely make it to *5* by optimising his recovery.
*Toon Link*
He can make it without starting damage. Do the same thing you did but with more height instead. And when the Bomb explodes, air dodge the second time before using his Up Special the second time.
*Robin*
Charge his Neutral Special while full hopping to increase vertical momentum, cancel it with an air dodge at the *apex,* and then use the remaining recovery moves. He can get really close to the ledge, so it's a *5.*
*Duck Hunt Duo*
This should give you some ideas on how they can make it without starting damage:

*Mii Brawler*
Use the diving kick during Feint Jump to increase horizontal momentum, so they can make it to *5.* Better with Helicopter Kick though.
*Ryu & Ken*
Air dodging could've got them to *4.*
*Corrin*
Her Back Air helps her horizontally.
*Bayonetta*

*Inkling*
She can (barely) make it. You have to cancel her Side Special as soon as you use it. And when you cancel it with a jump, use an aerial attack to increase air acceleration.
*King K. Rool*
His Up Air has less end lag than his directional air dodge. Using 3 Up Aerials instead of air dodging gets him even closer to the ledge.
*Incineroar*
Using its Up Special before air dodging gets it even closer to *4.*
*Joker*
Jumping out of his Neutral Special sends him further than his full hop. His Neutral Special also reduces gravity while jumping, which gives him better horizontal recovery than dodging with it. His Side Special doesn't help him with recovery at all. If the Rebellion Gauge is almost full, Joker will use both Grappling Hook & Wings of Rebellion in one jump. Timing his horizontal recovery correctly gets him to *5.*
If you find some of these improvements too hard or complex, I can understand.
Shulk's a good guy. Helping Kirby get through so many challenges.

I was thinking that the songs were getting out of sync with the characters, but you're right, it's whenever they succeed.
And also the song is always related to the last character that made it.

Its embarrassing how Mario, Jump Man himself, is pretty much always out classed in jumping competitions when he's against his fellow smash characters.
I know it wouldn't have made much of a difference but a cape stall would have helped probably put him in "4."
I’m pretty sure his name came from how often he jumps and not from how high he jumps.
It's even more embarrasing that Mario was also outclassed by his younger brother Luigi!

I have no god damn clue why, but these kinds of videos are so entertaining to me. Just watching all the characters make it to the other side of the screen makes my brain happy.
I like that for those that can't do it initially but then need an additional factor to get them across, you make their portrait gray at the top. I think that's a nice touch of "yes they can do it, but not the same legit way.

I would argue that Luigi should be in that tier since he can’t make it without impossible luck.
Some of those are wrong tho. Link can bomb jump without the timer setting off the bomb, for example. He can make it across legitimately, but it requires a lot of skill

Surprised Kirby needed Shulks help to complete the challenge, I always associate Kirby with having the best jumps (also was NOT expecting Jigglypuff to DESTROY that distance)
yeah, i was also left awestruck when i saw Jigglypuff just beating Kirby by a mile, since i always saw them as equals whenever floating about was involved.
Thing is, Kirby has really bad air speed while jigglypuff has great sir speed

it seems like pit and dark pit could definitely do it, since they can to side b multiple times w/out touching the ground

Inkling gets more distance if you airdodge, side b, then double jump and recover. I think she can make it.
Edit: Tested it out, she makes can make it past 5 but due to the airdodge lag she can't make the recovery. Shame.
Tried this myself, and I don’t know if this is because I suck at inkling but they travel less distance
Just realized that every time a character completes the challenge successfully, the music switches to a track from whatever videogame they come from. Interesting touch.

So, what about Duck Hunt using the can to damage themselves while in midair, as a way to boost their recovery?
Yeah, you can hit the can during your up b, so you can arc it to hit duck hunt as he ends his recovery, cancelling special fall and letting him make it. I think PTAS did something similar for the training stage jump. It’s not easy but it’s doable
I tried it and it worked.

(I think) mega man can make it by damaging himself by using side b on the wall and letting it blow up next to you. Do that enough times and you should theoretically be able to make it with enough damage

Most who didn't make it and those who's final smashes go straight might have a chance of making it.
Might have a chance at overshotting too, I'm guessing you're talking mostly about Marth/Lucina.
I know Ganondorf's looks the part but it's technically a "beam" as Ganondorf is technically where he activates the Final Smash while his model transforms and runs off screen while the actual character stays behind. It's actually a neat trick.

Inkling could have made it if you didn't air dodge. Up b straight after the jump for a lot more verticle hight. Also use two jumps at the start because using roller gives you one extra jump
Horizontal recovery is not about height alone, that only applies to Peach, Daisy and Mr. Game & Watch. It's mainly about optimal jumps.
Yes, Inkling can make it but it's harder than it looks. Air dodging was actually the right thing to do. He needed to cancel her Side Special as soon as he uses it. And when he cancels it with a jump, he has to use an aerial attack to increase her air acceleration.

I love the detail you put in your videos! The fact that you play music of the most recent winner (for example luigis mansion after luigi won) is suh a neat little detail and I really like that! ^^
mega man can make it by using crash bomber at high percent on the wall
mii swordfighter can also make it, as mashing any move after side b (include up b or another side b) makes him do the move instead of going into special fall (you don't even need to mash, the timing for it is super lenient)

I feel like Lucas could make that if he was facing left then jumps still facing left and used pk fire backwards to use the momentum instead spot dodging then used pk thunder
With Lucas, using his side B gives him momentum in the opposite direction. Might not change anything, but worth a shot
I feel Byleth should be at 3, because they would be able to grab ledge at 3, even though they're body is at 2.
Fox and Falco, can side and up B for recovery
