Scary. The loco pilot has to be fearless, gutsy and at the same time extremely alert and cautious. He carries lives of hundreds of people.

When u sit in shatabdi u cant find its speed..only can feel it with things going pass fast..its sound proof..but..when u go to the toilet..u shakes like a baby with fear..what a noice

Olden days fuel like coal & Diesel gets consumed more by traveling speed so the fares use to be high...
But now the same electricity is used for all variants still there is fare difference.
Sab kuch fuel pe hi depend nahi karta. Railway ko kuch bhi naya karne ko paisa lagta hai. Infrastructure growth demands capital.

Driver display also having digital speedometer. That's why analog speedometer is hanged separately.
Can somebody please tell me as a common man what is the procedure to get the permission to be inside a loco engine. I don't aim to get into Shatabdi but, but any train is ok for me.
