Aidan is more accurate as a passer, he was by far the better passer in the games BUT i definitely think Gardner being mobile played a huge factor in the decision

You need mobility. You just do in this day and age. If Minshew cuts down on the turnovers, he could be solid, or maybe even good. You need to be able to move and make plays off-script. Minshew has done that quite a bit over the course of his career. Those risky throws need to go though for sure.

Why do the Raiders always choose opposite of the common opinion? If it went their way sometimes I could understand but it always blows up in their face. I am no longer questioning the predictions of a 5-6 win season. 😔
Common opinion has been Minshew the entire time. AOC was ranked outside the top 25 in many lists this offseason.

@@JanoyCresva every reporter that I follow has been to all of the practices and seen everything the whole off-season. All of them were saying it was going to be O’Connell. Listening to the broadcast, you could tell that Rich Gannon was solidly in the corner that it should be O’Connell. Hell, even since Minshew was named the starter most everyone has said they were surprised by it because they felt like it was going to be O’Connell. 0-2 by the home opener with AOC starting game 3!

Not a good choice. Gardner almost had 5int's in the two preseason games. We have bigger issues than 'Who's at QB". Your coaching has been questionable, Tyree Wilson is too slow of foot to play at this level, he's big but doesn't have strength. Line backers have not made any plays this preseason.
Really disappointed with this decision. Reminds me of seasons past. I had high hopes and enthusiasm until today...

Bad call, you give AOC one drive with better players in the first game and give him no weapons in the second game. Minshew is a loose cannon and was close to three or four picks in the second game. Madness!

we seen two preseason games. the first game aiden got one drive looked good. Second game they both sucked but thought aiden was better. with that being said we havnt seen these guys in practice everyday

Here is to hoping Minshew plays well this team fits his personality and this is his big shot to go be the guy. If he struggles a lot we will find our next QB in the offseason. Go Raiders.

We are officially a forth rate football team. I have been the most optimistic fan throughout the years of ineptitude, but this is one of the most disappointing and depressing moments in Raiders history. They seem like they want to fail. I know neither are actual starters and I dont expect even coming close to a winning season but its sad its come to this. Should have traded Adams when we had the chance. Going in to a 3 year rebuild now with nothing to show for it. Wasting Maxx and Adams careers.
Don't feel bad for the players. They're making a lot of money for their families, generational wealth. And in reality, the games are predetermined anyway. The Super Bowl winner has already been selected. Storylines for the season have been written out. The NFL is produced, like any reality show. It's not about real competition; it's about story and pushing sports betting. It's entertainment. And that's okay. We're here to watch the athletes do what they can do on the field. Expect the defense to always be on the field with #15 as the starter. AOC would not be a sexy pick, but he'll protect the ball and put the defense in a better field position. Gardner will burn out this defense with his reckless play.
I think Aiden is better overall. I would rather have possible too many sacks vs having possible too many ints. I also wish a decision would have stayed behind closed doors till the night prior to the game against the Chargers.
