Jeff "Tain" Watts with the Georgia State University Jazz Band

Jeff Watts, the drummer they call "Tain," brings his percussive magic to the Rialto Center, April 21, 2023, in concert with the GSU Jazz Band.
Tain spent his formative years with Wynton and Branford Marsalis, and his compositional skills now command equal attention. Watts was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2017. A true jazz innovator, Watts never fails to deliver the percussive magic that has been his trademark since his emergence on the contemporary jazz scene.
The Rialto Jazz for Kids open the show with a performance at 7 p.m. in the Lobby. Come support this talented group of middle school students--the next generation of jazz.
