Interesting.. my Nordstrom Rack is still really high ? And I see you got great prices..so I have a foot issue .. can't wear heels unless enough room toe box ...and like a little lift , I am in Texas, cold nature in air conditioning.
I love the way you call these dresses “One and done”. When I was growing up, my mother always called these dresses “Holy moly dresses”. That’s because, if you sleep in or have to make a quick choice, you don’t need a slip, nylons, or a lot of jewelry. You just say, “Holy Moly, look at the time”‼️ And get dressed in no time.

I feel like I've already made too many comments, but speaking of jeans. I have 2 pair of jeans that I bought at Dillards in 2021, after losing 20 lbs. on keto. They are super nice skinny jeans and fit like a dream. They have a snug band that comes midway up the stomach. It is a built-in tummy flattener. Between then and after the 'pandemic', boredom set in and I gave into my cravings for carbs. Anyway, I started the diet again about 2 months ago and can wear those jeans again! I have some cool new tee shirts and a blazer that I wear with them and some white sneakers. I add a few simple pieces of jewelry, a nice casual bag and it makes for a really classy look! I got some admiring glances from strangers, especially women with smiles, so I like to think they were admiring my style! Thanks Angela for bringing jeans up for discussion! Your channel is so helpful! 😘

I'm 52 years old as well. I do like the streamlined belted shift dresses because they are structured.
It is a shame that the majority of outfits are fully or mainly polyester, as it is not a breathable fabric.
At my mid life, l'm very aware of fabric sustainability and breathability. So l'm happy to spend more for natural fibres: silk, cotton, viscose, modal, wool.
Natural fabrics will always outdo a synthetic fabric in terms of looking well dressed / expensive, and regulate body temperature across seasons.
Good comment; and to mention micro plastics that wind up in the environment…

Some people look elegant all the time no matter what they are wearing. It is a matter of posture, cleanliness, politeness and taking excellent care of your health by eating properly. I think. Wear clothes that make you happy. Angela certainly does all of these.

go-to for dresses! I have a black and white Calvin dress that I have had for years and still get complimented on it every time I wear it. Last year for a wedding I went to Macy’s and found a beautiful Calvin floral dress but the store only had a 4 and a 12! So I went online and they had my size, I was willing to pay full price it was so gorgeous. But I waited, I checked almost every day and about a week or so later, it went on sale! Ordered it and it was perfect for a summer outdoor wedding! I just love the quality and style that is Calvin Klein! I wanted to add how great you look~ your skin is virtually flawless and love the way you’re wearing your hair!

I buy most of my clothes second hand. I find high end, one of a kind fashion items that no one else has on. Recently camped up north in Manistee with a group of couples our age ( 50’s & 60’s) surrounding us a for several days. One of the ladies came to my campsite & said “ just want you to know us ladies love your style”. Fashion takes thought, to know what colors & cuts work with your body type not just what’s current. I gained 20 lbs during Covid so have been down on myself so their comment was a great pick me up. Love the green dress & can be great for winter w/black tights, black boots & black moto jacket.

Cute dresses at great prices! I do have a few Calvin Klein I’ll get them if I’m lucky they fit this 5’3 well. Looking to buy a couple of who Nyerere dresses and blazers for jeans or leggings. I di have plenty Sumner dresses already. Need to browse my TJ Max again! Also even Ross you never know! I have a Nordstrom Rack nearby but on this new location I have never found a decent dress I’ll be interested in. Such a shame where they were before they carried much better things!

The problem with plaid anything is that the side seams do not match the patterns. When they do match they look much more expensive, usually because they are more expensive. This is a pet peeve of mine. Love the dresses and I also gravitate to CK.

You are so lucky to be able to wear navy and grey tones, like my husband, as so many classy things come in those colours! I have dark olive green eyes and pale, but warm skin and look awful in navy or grey or white, I need khaki or cream or warm colours and they can look a bit like you are in the army if you are not careful. I cannot wear black against my skin these days either, far too draining. I often wish I had blue or grey eyes, (well, only for two minutes) as their is more choice of clothing in those colours usually.

I was wondering if a long sleeve tee shirt would look good under the collar dresses. Maybe a turtle neck or mock turtleneck? The blue one with puff sleeves I think that is a stand alone. It seems if you add blazer or sweater you take away from the whole look of the dress.
I am fast approaching 80 (eek) and still love to look my best and stay fashionable for my age. I love the classic look.
Hello Angela. I just happened upon your channel for the first time. It was a lot of fun! I loved all the dresses you found. They looked beautiful on you! So classy and for the price, what a steal. The yellow flowered long skirt was an real show stopper. You looked like a model on the run way. I have to say though, when you put those Jeans and t-shirt on, Wow!! As a woman, I have to say it, "you were rock'in it"! Here in Canada we have the equivalent to TJMAX and we have Marshall's. With so much of the summer items gone now due to winter being around the corner, I may not find those items but when I head down to the States next week, you bet I will take a look. Hello Angela, I really enjoyed this video. You are correct. Woman can look like a million on a discount. The real trick is to buy clothes that fit their body type. Woman have been wearing clothes that are too tight. The low rise skinny jeans look cheap on all woman who are larger then size 10. Your videos are getting better. Thanks

I think that is what the skinny low waist jeans were MEANT to be that way-only for some not for all. My teenaged daughters found this discriminating reality the hard way. The term “muffin top” was created to describe those wearing those jeans for whom they were not designed. FINALLY, while in college one of my daughters discovered high-waisted jeans! She was amazed to finally find her true waist - and her true figure. Beautiful, and no more insecurity.

I love your classy styling. I also love the price range!!! I’m a short middle-aged woman, 5’2”. It’s so hard to find clothes in petite sizes. The regular size Is too long for my arms and skirt/dress length (like knee length). I want to avoid expensive alternation. Any ideas?
I am 5' tall and find regular sizes (especially in dresses and blouses) too long from shoulder to armpit and they look frumpy. It is also a a difficult alteration to make so I have learned to just persevere and look for petite sizes. I also sew, so I can make my own dresses that fit me correctly.
