- The 2023 Spearfishing World Championships were held in Laredo Spain. I spent three weeks in Spain with Team USA and Justin Lee helping him attempt to win a World Championship.

Maybe I'm biased because I was there but this is probably my favourite video of yours. Really felt the emotion and challenge of going to one of these events. It's no accident the top divers are at the top. Testing yourself against the best only makes you better, see you at the next one!

Thanks for bringing us along and documenting Justin's journey to diving in the World Spearfishing championships. I could only imagine what that type of competition would be like being diving with the worlds best divers and representing the USA. Great job on bringing us to Spain and sharing that great adventure.

Man this was wild....uau..like we were there with you guys....real competition video, from scouting to the x day..great video and awsome comments from you with all the frustrations an happines , somethimes you must just have those few grams of luck, like you had in Portugal with that corvina of five kg. Awesome video I think I’m going to end up in Europe soon leaving big island for a year and I can’t stand the thought of not spearing so I’m glad to see these videos when I did so I can be a little prepared at what to expect trying to spear away from home I’ll probably just bring a large slip tip evolve pole spear any wet suit recommendations? For Greece - Spain ?
I loved competing in Spearfishing and credit it for motivating me to become better, which means I became better at putting fish on the table for my family. And after watching this video I feel pretty good about team USA coming in 7th place in Chile in 2004.

From the form of the waves, I guess this was Mediterranean Sea. Difficult terrain, overfished, under 30 meters you see normal life, groupers, aj, dendex and near 50 red snapper. When you see sargo, going slowly under stone he will turn under the rock to check you, if goes full speed, forget it. Anyway was an adventure... Stressful though!!
