Thank you for showing us the interesting life of a truck driver in japan! Very interesting and different from what we are used here in europe. Greetings from germany :-)
I've just used the same ferry company travelling to and from Niigata to Otaru and back again, Since I was towing a caravan, I get treated like a truck when boarding and park on the same second deck at the back, which means I am last on and one of the first off. I suggest to anyone travelling to buy their food in advance and take it on board as the restaurant food is not very good. I see you ate the corn miso ramen. So did I. It was tasteless on my ferry, so I hoped yours tasted better. I think that the organisation of the onboarding ferry terminal could be much better. Still, the staff of Shin-Nihonkai Ferry are very friendly and they are cheapest ferry for travelling with some kind of trailer.
Can you drink alcohol? I thought the driver in japan cannot allowed because in the next day they need to check alcohol machine and send to the company that they are working.
It would be better if you give the real sound when entering the ship like backing up to the ship instead of putting music and fast forwarding. Ambiance noise is better than music video on these types of videos
@@andrewkaminskas7721 Most ferries that have this kind of traffic usually has two entrances that lift up on each side. Even overnight ones. But I don’t know about Japan so it might not be normal there.
@@More_Row It depends on the ferry company. Like Kani-san, I just used the same ferry company to Otaru and back, but from Niigata. I towed a caravan so was treated and charged like a truck. I didn't have to reverse in, but going, I was parked in the rear but facing the side door/ramp and was first off/. Coming back, I was again parked at the back and was second off following one truck and had to do a U-turn (not difficult). Shorter ferry routes tend to have a pull in-drive through-drive out style boat. Shin-Nihonkai Ferry has two decks and has a rear door on deck 2 and a side ramp on each side (only one side is used). The 3rd deck has a sliding side door and a short ramp that lowers onto a permanent ramp on the quayside. You can see it briefly in Kani-san's video. Mostly passenger cars are put on the 3rd deck.
One day I must visit Japan, I must! The lights in the axle from the other truck 😮 In my brian I see that here in europe, special germany. The police will kill you, I´m sure 🤣
I was in Japan few weeks ago, i'm a truck driver also but in Europe haha just started to follow you

@@Ferry_Travel_Chそうなんですね!

That seemed like a very confusing way to get the trucks onboard a ferry
Backing in oh dear.
probably easier to back in than to back out

@@andrewjones-productions Okay so what I’m getting is that it’s not unusual to have to back up or do U turns in many of the ferries.
