Turbowing Installation on a Peterbilt 389 - Empire Chrome Shop

Installing a turbowing to the roof of your truck is a lot more simple than many folks think. Every truck is a little different, and the procedure has to be adapted to fit the truck. On this brand new 389, we had to contend with some unwieldy cabinets - but shop foreman Chris has installed dozens of turbowings, and he was more than happy to show Sidney and Mike how it's done.

what does a turbowing do?

Some people install them for the look, but the main purpose is to reduce fuel consumption and increase mileage. It scoops air up and over the trailer and increases aerodynamics. Some of our customers have reported up to a 2% savings in fuel consumption!

Usually about 3-4 hours, sometimes can take a little more though. We charge $75/hour and the wing itself is $949.
