It’s also so interesting to see so much a book cover tells you. It tells a story in its own. One who didn’t read the cruel prince and just from looking at the cover might suspect that maybe it’s about a prince who doesn’t want his title because of the crown caught in the tree branch. Or maybe he just wants to be a normal human ( do normal things like climb a tree) even if I’m not right about this book cover it tells its own huge story by looking at the cover…

I have started Cruel Prince because of you and I am loving it!
this is definitely an unpopular opinion, but the cruel prince didn't sit well with me when i first started it. something about the behavior from cardan (and more so his friends) towards jude, the merciless taunting and actions they take, were so extreme that it made me somewhat uncomfortable. does it get better as the series goes on? i really loved the writing style and world, so I hope it does, because the hype has gotten to my head and i really do want to love this as much as everyone else 😭
A really good series that you may not have read is the L.A. candy books by Lauren Conrad. I could see you liking them there’s three books in it

i really don’t like sarah j mass or her books; the way she uses England as her base for this fantastical fictional land and describes them as civilised and progressive compared to the “savages” and backwards people of Hybern- as in Hibernia, the Roman name for Ireland. It’s a very not clever way of dragging Ireland back to its days as colonised and oppressed by the English and when Irish people were seen as backwards, savage, Neanderthals and a completely separate species until the 80s by almost the entire world and certainly the entire British empire.
Sarah is also a Zionist and given Ireland’s fierce and strong ties with Palestinians historically and in present day, she used Hybern (Ireland) as the evil, savage world (in which she uses multiple Irish gods/goddesses and mythology and twists it into some awful, evil mockery to make the English look better) as a way to get a dig to both Palestinians and the Irish as they have the same history.
Obviously not saying no one can like the series or anything i just think it’s a really interesting talking point!
