Out of the countless times I have been there being from Indiana I've never seen it at Christmas. Never been to the top of the tower either lol. Heck I'm so old I remember when it was filled with characters from Hanna-Barbera cartoons! I remember the summer The Beast opened.....it scared me to death and I couldn't wait to get back on and ride it again. Many years later I took my own son there and his first coaster was The Racer. It scared him at first but then I made him ride again~backwards this time. I know it sounds bad but he loved it and to this day loves coasters! Decades later when I finally made it to Disney World it felt like a let down. I liked Kings Island sooo much better! Thanks for this guys....I so wanna take my granddaughter in a couple years for Christmas! Wow! So magical!
We really enjoyed visiting here for Christmas. I (Brent) remember the Hanna-Barbera cartoons as well. The Flinstones and do you remember that the old Boo Blaster used to be a Smurfs ride. There was also a safari tram in the earlier part of the 80s that I remember. Yes!! - The Beast is such a classic and we miss the Vortex. We're so glad to hear that your son ended up loving roller coasters after riding on The Racer. That's too funny - we have said that same thing about Disney. Their rides are little league compared to the ones at KI. We hope that you and your granddaughter have an amazing time when you visit King's Island during Christmas. We didn't get to film everything since we had to cut the night short, but hey had a lot of shows, ice sculpting, and special slides for Winterfest that we didn't get to see. Y'all will have a blast visiting. Have a great evening, Candace!
Yes I sure do remember the old Boo Blaster. And the safari was super cool, and had lines like crazy cause it was air conditioned lol. It was over next to The Racer. I wonder what happened with that....all of a sudden it just vanished. @@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV
Ahhh yes!! That air conditioning in the trams sure was nice. We’re not sure why they removed it but the tram is now on display at the Eastgate location of Jungle Jim’s in Cincinnati.
Great and enjoyable video. The lights were amazing. The Parade was really nice. Such a beautiful place. Looks like you all had a good time. Only two hours from where I live. Your video covered the Winterfest and made me want to make plans to check it out and tell my friends to watch. Good family place.
That's so awesome that you have been to King's Island many times. Brent visited the park quite a bit back in the 80s and 90s but he has gotten used to the south and things it's too cold too. We are not used to weather this cold. You are so fortunate to live in the Sunshine State. Thanks so much for watching, Linda.
Thank you so much, Teresa! We have been trying to go to this event for years and something has always prevented us from going. Brent went in the 80s and 90s and have told us stories about it, so we're glad that we could finally all experience it. If you're ever in the area, you should definitely check it out. The amount of lights and detail was very impressive. We hope that you have a Merry Christmas!
We had so much fun here and the detail that they put into their light show was just so impressive. We hope that you have a great evening, Penny and Tony. God bless!
Great video! I have been to Kings Island. It's a really fun place to go. Love that huge Coca Cola Santa...but then again I love anything that has the Coca Cola Santa on it. Something about it just says Christmas. I always loved the Coke commercials around Christmas. RUclips gives us the opportunity to see them all..which I love. Looks like ya'll had fun! Hope your week is going great and God bless!
It really is a great amusement park. We're with you - drinking a Coca-Cola this time of the year just feels nostalgic. We miss the old Coke commercial with Santa and also the polar bears. It's been a great week so far and we hope that you're having a great start to your week as well. Thanks so much for commenting and watching, Cathy! We appreciate you.
Brent, really enjoyed your video! I'd freeze out there. Lots of beautiful Christmas lights and decorations and trees. Thank you for taking me along with y'all! That turkey leg looked so good! Hope and pray Gentry's feeling better soon. As always love their reviews! Love y'all and God Bless You!❤️🎄
It really is impressive. The amount of work that goes into installing the lights alone is impressive and then added with the shows, choreography, and the transitioning of the stores/restaurants - it's incredible. It sure is a great event.
@@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV just the cast in that show was large and incredible. We all know how difficult it is hiring people but it seemed like that parade itself had close to 200 actors in it! That’s a big expense production
That is so neat that you attended this event when you were a kid. It is a really spectacular event. Brent went in the 80s and 90s, but it's been well over 20 years since he's been back. Gentry is much better now - thank you so much, Casey.
We went to Winterfest recently at the sister park to King's Island - King's Dominion in Virginia. So we were very interested in seeing what it was like in Ohio. The events were similar, of course. But not the same. Unfortunately, Kings Dominion did not have a parade or a train ride. Those looked like really cool experiences for your family to enjoy. The Christmas lights are beautiful. Thanks for sharing this event with us!
Thank you, Maverick! We asked ourselves the same question about the lights. hey had so many lights, I wouldn't be surprised if astronauts were viewing them from the International Space Station. They only had 1 coaster open (Mystic Timbers) but we're not accustomed to the cold weather in the midwest, so we steered clear of the coaster. All of the other ones were shut down for the season. Merry Christmas to you and Kelly!
Super cool omg the effiel tower look fabulous gentry you better not do on 75 when i come met you guys fantastic video guys brent ❤❤❤ the baseball cap wish both our teams would have won browns buckeyes and bengals but this put in BETTER MOOD JUST SEENG YOU GUYS HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME XOXO SENDING LOVE PRAYERS HUGE HUGS AND SUPPORT ALWAYS ON 😊😊😊😊 ❤❤❤❤❤ BE SAFE OUT THERE GUYS XOXO gentry buddy feel better real soon okay stay warm do you guys do ice skating me no way no strong ankles here
Thank you, Michelle! Their light show is so impressive and the Eiffel tower just adds a perfect touch to the fun. It was sad to see the Buckeyes lose to Michigan but hopefully they'll redeem themselves next season. We always appreciate your kind comments and really appreciate you. Gentry said thank you and he is feeling much better now. We wanted to do the ice skating but the lines were way too long when we went and the park was only open from 5-10 on opening night. Merry Christmas to you and Ed!
What are y’all doing clear up here. Not far from us over by Dayton oh. Been watching your food reviews. Headed to pigeon forge on the 3rd planning where to eat all week. 👍👋
Hi George! We travel up to Ohio a couple of times a year. Dayton is not far from where we usually stay when we come up to OH. We appreciate you for watching our reviews and hope that you have an amazing time in Pigeon Forge. This is such a gerat time of the year to visit. Will y'all be going to Dollywood?
No, we don’t walk like that anymore. We will be looking for best drives to see lights other than parkway. We’re staying at valley forge so may try to do the river walk of lights.

Great video guys! The park looks fantastic! I wonder what their energy bill is on 7 million lights. Are all of the coasters closed for the season?
