    I absolutely love my Toybox! When I saw this video before, it was before my printer arrived I think and I had no idea what I was getting into lol
    Now I can’t imagine life without it

    My grandson is 9 and got one for xmas. To say he loves it would be under rating his love of it. He prints all the time. He plays with friends and prints at the same time. The guy in the video has printed about as much as he has. He started printing a viking ship before leaving for school and when he got home ,took it out and has printed two vikings to sail with it. Its fast. I expected hours printing time, but even big stuff takes minutes. Easy to understand how to work it, but toybox skimps on directions. Wish it had more on the web site. I would give it a 9.5 out of 10. Any present that has been played with as much as this has is worth every penny.

    got one of these 2nd hand... missing the power cord... long story short it is a 24v power supply. That was hard to find out!
    Turns out it has a sd card and usb-b inside you just cant get to it easily, it is a createbot super mini underneath.
    If toybox were to go defunct or start charging outrageous prices you could totally put marlin firmware on it and get an sd card extender and use it like a regular printer!
    That being said my daughter is extatic about this thing... she can do what i do and she loves that!

    I picked up the SLJ8080-A from Lonenessl. It has issues, but I’ve only had one print failure from the first 20 prints. The bolt for the z-axis trigger came loose and the filament was just kinda spewing all over the enclosure. Took a bit of tinkering to get things set up initially..lots of tightening or loosening screws while it was running. So far have only been printing the included files, and they’re pretty low quality. Going to run some with thinner layers over the next few days. Fingers crossed…but as it sits, my son is having a blast. Nice enough little prints that take 30 to 45 minutes to complete in most cases…mainly because of the THICK layer height. Also since every file is in Chinese, we have no idea what it’ll make next. Hahaha

    Hello, this is the first video I have seen of yours but I think I just found my new favorite channel. I was wondering if you tried turning the cellular data off on your phone when you tried connecting the device to your wireless network? I do not have the TOYBOX printer, but I have noticed other devices that require a similar setup all have the same issue. Usually turning off your cellular satay during setup will resolve any issues. Anyways, off to watch more 3D Printing Professor videos.

    Just wrapping this up for my 11 year olds birthday tomorrow!! He’s mostly going to use an iPad (he doesn’t have a phone). Should we do initial set up from the iPad? I hope it’s easy as everyone says. He’s pretty tech savvy. Any advice . . .

    • @3dpprofessor
      @3dpprofessor  2 года назад

      Once you've done the setup, it'll work from the phone, from your computer, or wherever. The initial setup is just to get the printer on your wifi.

    Thanks for an awesome review. It's great to see something like this that just works and so easy to get printing with. Let's hope they never get hacked and we end up with runaways printers all over.

      The Toybox platform has some tools for making 3d prints from drawings.
      When I do it, though, I get way too complicated. ruclips.net/video/bz5UZsZIpG4/видео.html

      I'm sorry.
      I wish subtitles were easer to generate. But typing up a script that I really just winged at the time, and timing it with the video, even for a short video like this can take an inordinate amount of time. Hours. Serious. And since RUclips took away community captions, there's not much chance I can get help from anyone anymore.

    The nightmare of ecologists. We (printer operators) should mark objects with : type of plastic used, print date and duration, author, operator, machine => QRcode ? I'm actually calling for the boycott of ABS, PETG filaments and more precisly all non-PLA ! ECOLOGY ?! Please talk/think/analyze it !
