If I were to be stranded on a deserted island, and could only have one set of cds, it would be the collected works of Beethoven. His music covers every emotion and mood. I would never get tired of his music.
I haven't listened to classical music since my father passed , every Sunday evening we'd all sit round the fire and my father would place the first record of his choice ...This has transported me to open fields awash in colour ,swallows, swifts ducking diving below the blue summer sky, sheep lambs, cows&calfs frolicking on sun kissed grass , rabbits nibbling on a dandelion...Peace tranquillity and the joy of life... Beautiful
I think this is my favorite Beethoven piece.... It's so joyful and makes me feel so happy! I heard part of this movement on a cartoon and didn't before realize how much I liked it, so here I am listening to it again. (and playing it so my sister can hear it.)
No disrespect to conductor, but they perform Symphony No. 6 in a really fast pace. Other than that, it's really nice. Ludwig van Beethoven is my lifeline.
The second theme begins at around 2:45. It isn’t immediately apparent in this particular symphonic movement, because it doesn’t stand in particularly strong contrast to the initial theme. The second theme is a bit more lyrical than the first - yet nevertheless, both themes are cheerful, pastoral, lively, and flowy. It’s the main reason this entire movement of the symphony feels so buoyant and floaty - there is none of the dramatic tension that would come from two divergent themes. Thank you for this interesting question!

@L3gendary #stanevil hahahaha
For me, Beethoven's most well-rounded symphony. All of the movements are so well balanced and compliment each other so well.

We're so glad you like it! Make sure to check out all the other Beethoven videos on our channel
Was that cartoon perhaps Animaniacs? The segment "Dot's Quiet Time", to be specific?
It was the Simpsons, right? When the kids stopped watching cartoons and went outside?
@@stevenherran3962 nooooo, the first cartoon that used this piece was Disney Fantasia. That Simpsons scene is a cultural reference.
Walt Disney's Fantasia
One of my favourite symphonies, excellently performed by Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. A joy to listen to. Paavo Järvi is a great conductor.
