I am American. I am always reminded of the very close relationship between France and the United States. The statue of liberty, and several places like New Orleans, and several places in Louisiana. I think French women are very beautiful, however the French can be seen as cold at first. Once people get to know tge French they become friendly. I have been to France several times before, and enjoyed it very much. I would date a French woman for sure!

Thank you for your comment ! That’s good, this video was filmed in Orléans. Yes the French in general are distant and shy at first but once you break the ice they are friendly and kind.

I'm British and lived in France. The French tend to be more formal than Anglo culture and that may come across as 'cold' or unfriendly. But I'd say they are also more self-assured than Anglos and if they don't like something they'll happily point it out whereas Anglos are always worried about offending people. We tend to invest in small talk to get to know people but the French will generally find this a little pointless if you don't have something valuable to say. French are definitely more direct. Also politeness is different. French people expect a bonjour and au revoir whereas Anglos are very bad at saying hello and goodbye. Likewise the aloofness and directness of the French can appear rude to us.

My ex girlfriend’s family is from France and they moved to Brasil and she and her brother were born there. She moved to Paris when she was 12 and became a professional ballet dancer after 18 years she returned to Brasil and married a doctor and had one son. The doctor fell down some stairs and hit his head and died from a subdural hematoma after several days in the hospital. She was renting her home using Airbnb and I rented a room with my son. I paid her to drive us around and we became like a family and would eat together at restaurants and visit tourist spots with our sons. One night she came up to me and attacked me with passionate kisses and other things. I wondered what was happening and a voice in my head told me to enjoy it and think about it the next day. We were together for 4 years. She was 4’-10” and had a beautiful smile which was her default expression.

I still remember the first French woman I ever met, over 40 years ago. I'd disembarked off a plane from Nigeria to London that landed for a brief stop-over in Paris, and being the first time I'd ever been on the continent, naturally I bailed out with only my carry-on bag containing a few books and $40US in my pockets. Her name was Veronique and worked at the Societie' General bank in Charles De Gaulle airport, where I had gone in to figure out how to get some money wired from the US. It took two days back then, and I must have gone into the bank a dozen times to see if it had arrived while I camped out in the airport. I was instantly smitten but as a goofy 23yo American, she must have thought I was a complete rube. I could barely communicate with her, could never find the courage to ask her to lunch, and have regretted that failure for four decades. I still remember her feminine beauty and the bemused way she smiled at me with a slight grin. The actress Lea Sydoux reminds me of her, and I've always thought Veronique represented a typical French woman: statuesque, beautiful simply because she believes she's beautiful, comfortable in her feminine power, and recognizing that men are simple-minded creatures who only need the affection of such a woman to be happy and productive. I've visited Paris a few times since, but I never again found my very own Veronique.

As an American, this is very interesting to watch and gather opinions from this country and other countries for that matter, on how people from that country including my own view people from other countries. I think we're all the same in the way we generalize things based on media (movies, tv shows, books, news, talk shows, social media, youtube) and some of us either give vague answers based on that or we elaborate on the answer that this is what these sources of information say what we are like, but we've never been to those places or met anyone there so I can't really judge for myself.
I like an average amount of people that think with their brains, would think of any other person whether it be my own countries people or people from other countries, that everyone is unique, but similar in many ways since we're ALL human beings on this planet. We may do somethings or view things slightly differently because of different cultures or upbringings, but it really comes down to how you connect when you meet said person in person.
And if you don't connect in that moment it doesn't mean they're a bad person or unattractive etc. it could just mean that day something was going on in whichever persons life that was throwing those vibes off to connect with people.
I've traveled to most parts of the world and always find people VERY interesting no matter where you're from.
This is why I highly believe there is happiness out there for everyone, there is peace out there for everyone, there is adventure out there for everyone, there is wisdom out there for everyone, you just have to be brave enough to go out there and explore for yourself, it will find you always.
Also, every single french woman in this video was gorgeous and I'd date them, but I wouldn't date them based on looks, but how we connect as people. If I can't connect to you as a person, then looks and all those superficial things people think about when it comes to a relationship just make it about those things instead of the human aspect of a person.

In addition to France being a hugely important ally to us Americans, I have always found the French to be wonderful people. I have never found it difficult to relate to the French people I have met, and find them to have a similar demeanor to my American friends and family. Keep in mind though, these are French people I have only met here in the United States; I have never been to France.

I think French women, if they are honest, would prefer to be with other European men before they would consider an American because they appear to be less superficial. The only ones who might be willing to date an American would be one who could carry a conversation in French, because that would show them that they are not ignorant and have some schooling in French language and culture. The few French women I have met don't seem to be impressed easily, but they wouldn't say anything bad about American men out loud.
