Legendary radio commentator Gene Deckerhoff calls highlights from the Buccaneers' huge win over the Green Bay Packers in the 2020 NFC Championship Game. Im gonna be honest here. I can't help but tear up when watching the video. Im so freaking happy that Gene gets to call another Super Bowl for the Bucs. I hope he gets to call a win because that video is gonna be EPIC AF!

🏈 When I 1st started listening to "Gene Deckerhoff", I was 19 and Working at a Fleamarket in 1989. It was how I listened to the game as I worked on Sundays. Fast forward 2 months later and while at the Fleamarket I found a little 13" color TV that had Rabbit Ears. I Watched 1 game without listening to Gene Deckerhoff announce it......It Sucked. 👎 The very next week, I watched the game on mute, while listening to the Radio, I was in Buccaneer Heaven, for a long while. Then at some point, many years later, they made everyone go digital on TV and with a 2 Second delay that made it annoying to listen to LIVE RADIO and a 2 Second delay TV and I was in 🔥 Hell again. Now I Watch the game on TV and than later Listen to "Gene Deckerhoff" after the game on this RUclips channel. Its not as good as it once was, But, I guess its better than nothing...🤣😂🤣 ~ The End. 🏈 Oh, Gene Deckerhoff, you are "The Voice of Buccaneer Football". Well, at least for me. Thank You for all your Exciting years of Service to Our Team, The NFC Championship Winning Tampa Bay Buccaneers❗ 🏈. Go Bucs ❗

Some real good once about my Dad helping build RayJay and Cherished Bucs Autographs stolen (Mike Alstott, Derick Brooks, Hell even all 3 Martín "Automatic" Gramática bros. sigs) and of course the Crazy times at the Stadium during the Bucs home games, well before I became disabled. Oddly by a friendly park football game that got a little rough in my 30's. I'm 51 now. Go Sub to my channel, I'm thinking of telling some old stories on RUclips, at some Point. 😁

@@seandillon1359 would be definitely great, however the way defense gelled in Superbowl I can't complain and I think if progress today's defense will get close to the Brooks,Barber,Sapp,Rice,McFarland defense,they are mostly very young: entire secondary, White and Vea,so there's plenty of time to get MUCH better.

The Super Bowl is like a big money-making deal, so rebroadcasting that is a bigger issue than a regular season or playoff game.
Sad thing is, the Super Bowl LV DVD/Blu Ray does not have the Deckerhoff-based version of the game highlights, not like they did for the first Super Bowl vs. the Raiders. It's a huge oversight and NFL Films needs to release the Mean Gene game coverage for the fans.

With his attention to detail, the play by play commentary is excellent for viewers getting into the action. He reminds me of announcer Dick Enberg who brought UCLA college basketball games to life under coach John Wooden.
Gene Deckerhoff is the best play-by-play man in the NFL. Most others just shout like idiots. Gene just projects his voice more and more as the play unfolds. Change my mind!
