He was a token talent as far as the show was concerned and only got second place because the Chinese populace fell in love with him. I don’t think genius is too strong a word for him: his university announced today that he’s just passed his Master’s degree in Composition with flying colours (full marks) and is intending to carry on to do his Doctorate (how does he have the time?). As for bringing up something that would have fit in your open mouth I felt better saying a ball then what I usually hear which is flies could have flown in. He may be all those things but he did not win this particular singing contest. It seems that a local favorite female singer with a ten week long chart topping song beat the boy wonder. Dimash finished second.
novyttude Dimash lost do to politics. He was performing on a Chinese competition show as the only non Chinese performer. He was a token talent as far as the show was concerned and only got second place because the Chinese populace fell in love with him. A lot of Chinese “dears” but still those in control would never have allowed him to win.

I don’t think genius is too strong a word for him: his university announced today that he’s just passed his Master’s degree in Composition with flying colours (full marks) and is intending to carry on to do his Doctorate (how does he have the time?). He’s also a multi-instrumentalist, sings in many languages, has an incredible range and is a thoroughly lovely, humble human being to boot!

Dear Lisa, so many times a ball would have fit in your mouth from shock. LOL In the future for his Non English songs you can find some back stories including for this song and performance videos with subtitles added on the channel Gloria Wu. And for Autumn Strong & Daididau & Daybreak PLEASE have tissues ready because as an emotional woman myself, knowing the stories and words, every time I hear any of those songs I can't stop crying and I learned to put my makeup on AFTER listening to Dimash.

As for bringing up something that would have fit in your open mouth I felt better saying a ball then what I usually hear which is flies could have flown in. I would much prefer a ball be put into and even strapped into my mouth then flies going in because they would go right down my throat. LOL!! I can tell you I have worn ballgags and I have swallowed flies and I greatly prefer the gag over the flies.
