Let's face it, the No 8 is the most valuable, most powerful, intelligent and, not to mention, handsome player on the paddock....did I mention I play No8 haha. In all seriousness now, playing 8 for me is the most fun you can have with your pants on. I've played across the back row over my years as a player and it's the one I've enjoyed most and have played most of my time as. I'm now 43, retired from 1st team rugby but still playing. I'll stop the day I'm told I need knee and hip replacements, not a day sooner. Anyway, I digress. Once again, brilliant video and a perfect breakdown of the No8 role. Are Number 8s generally large/tall players or moderate?
Normally shorter than locks and taller than flankes, so i guess moderate, but most are large but athletic
