Great vlog . How lucky are we to have all that beauty on our doorstep! Well done on your achievement I could feel my lungs burning just watching you on that last climb 🥵👏👏👏👏
loved it Steven, Did my run this morning....so nice to watch you in oxygen debt instead of me......love your work. Love the location...doing commentary whilst running hills...super effort
I was enjoyed from start until end of the video like watching netflix.. good jobs 👏🏻👏🏻 if you don’t mind, how many batteries that used for making this video?
Hellllllaaahhhh lovieeeee. An Ex-Pat from Belfast now in Canada for 20 years. Once had a channel and it was miserrrrable. Have an Insta 360 one x and a DJI air 2s. You have as much chance getting me to run lovvvviiieeee as you would find Holy Water in an Orange Lodge. Mwhaaa mwhaaaa mwhaaaaa. I do better on two wheels than I do on two feet. Love my two little toys for the old motorcycling. On a side note deaaahhh, I stumbled upon you and watched everything up to your stupid go pro 9 settings usage. Splendid shows sirrrr and I do miss the old country nowwwwww. Keep it up lovvvviiiiieeeeeee (the vlogs I’m referring to deaahhhh) tah tah for now sweetieeeeeeee.
Excellent video 👍 Enjoyed all 14 minutes of it despite it being a subject that i have no interest in 😄 A real lesson in how to make a a good RUclips video.
I was huffing and puffing along with you on that last stretch. Thought I’d have a heart attack! How can you run a race while holding a selfie stick, doesn’t it throw you off balance?
That last bit is the worst! Running with the camera definitely makes it a lot harder. I run much faster without it. I have to train to be faster than I end up running
Thanks to your inspiration I got my dreamjob as a cinematopgrapher and it is great. Just one little but. How do you film in a boring location and how do you get motivated for Trailrunning if the next mountain is just 400 meters tall? (The but sounds a lot like first world problems, still a serious question) ;)
Hey that's great! Congrats! Been thinking about how to answer this question. Filming in a boring location. 1. Never see locations as boring, just see them as being a puzzle. 2. Look for the beauty in the boring locations, it's probably there if you look hard enough. Get low, close, high see from new angles. 3. Story is king, a location may look boring but you can bring it to life with a story. Maybe about the history of the area, or just a goal you want to achieve there. "just 400m" do you mean that's high or not very high? When it comes to mountain I just adopt a policy of "plodding" that is, I can slow down to a crawl if I need to but I just keep putting one foot in front of the other and eventually I'm at the top. Enjoy the way down and plod up the next one. Also sometimes I just give up and take a shortcut 😂😂
@@StephenJReid I admit, the answer is a little late. Especially because you tried so hard with your answer. In the last few weeks I have learned that creativity is unfortunately not asked too often in Germany when it comes to image videos. But, I want to reinvent this standard. After all, I became a videographer to be able to be creative ... or is the customer king? Unfortunately, the landscape is only 400 meters high. I'm actually used to 2600 meters in height of trail running. Imagine that the landscape looked like Lord of the Rings in my last 3 years. Speaking of which, what is the name of the song in your latest video at the beginning? (I prefer to post here and in the new video)
@Abroad in Bavaria song is called “Keep on Keepin on” it’s from Epidemic sound music library. The tallest mountain in Ireland is less than 1000m and the tallest near me is only 850m. Middle Earth would be amazing to run through!!
Not so much a stand up comic, more a harin’ about the place routine. Very entertaining.
😂😂 Thanks David!
Haha I love how you were blissfully ignorant of the bird poo, smilling away at the camera! Loved the music and drone footage at the start.
I hate that bird 😂

0:14 Wow Beautiful Sir..Nice vlog..ha ha that's nice you completed the race😀
Great vlog . How lucky are we to have all that beauty on our doorstep! Well done on your achievement I could feel my lungs burning just watching you on that last climb 🥵👏👏👏👏
Thanks Claire! That last climb is a killer!

Thanks Kevin! That hill is the worst!
Fair play must be very rewarding completing the run. I would have no chance.❤
Yup, tough one
Amazing video at several points, such as when the camera flew around you, I can’t imagine how you do that while running a race!😂
Practice 😁 Thanks Steve!
Epic climb!!! Well done! Looks like such a beautiful race.
Thanks! Climb was the worst!
this is an amazing shot at 0:19 - I need to learn how to take photos or video of landscapes without losing depth 😵
Some job surs! Congratulations, I was like "Gi up thon hill shams, g'wan!" And I'm no fan of running 😂
That’s why you were wise and watching someone else suffer! 😂😂
This looks like a full on movie
It’s a Drama, action movie and comedy 😂

Thanks! I only used one battery in each camera. Used a GoPro hero9 mostly and also an Insta360 One X2 for the "flying camera" shots.
Your best so far, Stephen 🐦
Thanks John!

😂 Thanks for watching. That Hero9 settings video is very long and boring! You have two wheels instead of feet?
Great effort. Thanks for sharing.

🙂 Goal achieved! I’ve always aimed to try and make trail running interesting to non runners. This comment makes me v happy.

Did you run the race today? 😁 That would have been an early start
