betterhelp is a bad company they steal their users info, and it's been proven that their service is not very efficient. i really hope this doesn't backfire for you guys.
I've renamed mother of a thousand to the 3000 ZOMBIES PLANT. way better. I told my sis i got some and she basically called the police. "THEY ARE SUPER INVASIVE YOU NEED TO BE VERY CAREFUL I EVEN GOT RID OF MINE." >:)
BetterHelp is fucked and not at all akin to real therapy at all. Their ToS doesn't even guarantee that the "therapists," they use are licensed. It's just a way for silicon valley tech bros to profit off of the mental health crisis this world is facing. I know you guys can do better than this
How about flowers that have no scent?
Betterhelp is dangerous and a total scam, look into it
"I'm not dead, this is just how I look"
LOL, exactly!
Me in the morning
At least you have lively personality
That's how I feel most mornings
@@justindunlap1235 same bro
I love how she always introduces the plants in these videos as if she's the ringleader in a heist movie explaining the skills and connections of each member of the crew.
I personally would love a video on mangrove trees.
Me too!
Heck yeah!
We need mangrove love
I want a Mangrove video!
Yes I was Ganna say potho plants but I changed my mind
I love resurrection ferns! I live in New Orleans and there's so many of them coating the branches of the live oak trees that shade our avenues. It's magical to see them go from brown to green after the rain, it makes the city look so lush.
I didn't think I'd see a plant more dramatic than a peace lily.
Thanks Floralogic! 👍
I wonder if they’ll do a video on peace Lillie’s next, it sounds interesting
Only plant I have kept alive for more than one season. Cousin gifted a ginormous specimen...we called it Frankenlily...had to put it on a wheeled base to move it. I'd go away for a few days and return to a 'dead green octopus'. Some water would perk it back up to its waist high glory in a few days. It survived for about 7 years...never met its equal!👍🌞
Check out fittonia plants. Always wilted but spring right back up🤣
Haha, such a Diva of a plant
Putting a ring inside a False Rose of Jericho plant would be a pretty awesome way to propose to a plant enthusiast!
Wow, legendary idea. Definitely something special
There's one resurrection plant in southern Africa called (mufandichimuka) in local language of Zimbabwe. It grows between the rocks in the mountains. In rain season it is so lush and dies in long hot summers of southern Africa. It is used treating different ailments
My grandfather grows True Roses of Jericho. They also open up when exposed to water, but only to release seeds, which I guess is why they're not "true" resurrection plants.
There is a local oak tree that many people in our town visit, as it sits over a war memorial. I always ask people looking at it if they know what the ferns growing in a cluster at its trunk split are, and no one out of over 100 have guessed it right. I feel like I'm the only one who knows its a resurrection fern.
They are amazing. I had one and it was totally dry. Came back to life after a day of watering.
Who knew plants could be so interesting
There are two kinds of ferns that do this here (dalmatia coast, croatia). You'd call it dead during the summer, all shrively and dry. But if it finds a damp place or the winter rains come, they spring right back up.
We have some of the false rose of Jericho at my school and have had them for over 5 years (probably much longer) and they come back every year with a bit of water.
That ending though 😂 I haven't seen a single comment say that.
But I think I finally found a plant o can keep alive. I love somewhere where succulents will sometimes just grow by the sidewalk yet I can't keep them alive.
I have the false rose of Jericho about 6 years now
The only problem is that stays brown all the time even with water
Childhood memory unlocked, I used to be fascinated by these.
Why is she so captivating. Absolutely beautiful
Love you Tasha!
I'm hesitant buying resurrection plant online, cause who knows how long it been stored & end up completely dried out. I've seen many complains rather the plant they bought resurrect after placed in water, it instead dies. Thanks animalogic for a clear understanding of this awesome plant.
@@capturedflame Better if it's a seed, shelf life is much longer & high survival rate than the live plant.
OMG "Defecation and Erection are all the comments we are going to get" I laughed so hard I almost had an asthma attack 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 more bloopers pleaseeeeeeee
I didn't think I'd see a plant more dramatic than a peace lily.
Thanks Floralogic!
I kinda want one of these plant now. Not just because "yay i can't possibly kill this" but also because its just really novel. Thankfully I'm decent at taking care of my succulents at least
In Southern Africa there is another resurrection plant group that goes by the name of myrothamus Falabellifollius. A dead looking branch stuck in water turns green within 12 hours! Absolutely fascinating how nature adapts
Hello dear how are you doing?
Sis, your skin is flawless.
Could you maybe do some plants that were extinct but now aren't... Whether they were just thought to be extinct and rediscovered or regrown from ancient preserved seeds. That may be cool af.
Wow! Tasha's nail-paint, hair, outfit, everything looks so on point. I love such summery vibes.
Yay! My field of research! Ive been working on resurrection plants for some years now in the lab of Prof. Farrant. 😁
I've been trying to propagate selaginella, as an amateur science project. I got them to send up strobili, but that's as far as I've gotten.
@@edwardvarby4363 oef, i personally have not handled the lower orders so cant really help you there. The selaginella we do have growing with some of our Xerophyta and Myrothamnus species were sampled with parent plants many years ago and have just been doing their own thing. I anticipate you should be able to get good results by using conventional bryophyte propagation methods?
i have one of these plants that a science group i was apart of years ago gave me! i call it my dinosaur plant since it seems to live forever and i was little lol and it’s my favorite plant to have!
Tony from Crime Pays, But Botany Doesn't has covered resurrection plants nicely. With humor thrown in as well.
I was looking for a comment like this! While I like Tony's/Joey's videos as they are now, I'd enjoy hearing his musical selections for a hypothetical soundtrack. [I recently learned that Tony Santoro also goes by Joey Santore.]
We just had weeks of drought where i live, drought resistance is a must. I really like plants that flower in the hot dry weather like some species of yarrow. I never knew about the orpheus flower even though i like greek legends.
You should do one on corpse flowers or stag horn ferns
I just learned about bird-catcher trees. I think those would make a pretty neat episode.
Whilst they are a different kingdom from plants, many fungi are resurrection experts! spores can survive being dehydrated for potentially forever before being hydrated and starting a colony. Some mycelium can even survive almost complete dehydration and rehydration!
Mi gf is working with this plant in a astrobiologic way and i'm so proud of her! ❤
Please keep the Floralogic segment:) as a florist, I love it so much
sandbox trees, mangroves, and an episode on grasses would be cool!
I've resurrection fern in one of my trees. Kind of shocked me the 1st few times it "died" lol. I'm trying to propagate the spikemoss, but haven't had much success.
I'm in Italy right now for research, and I'm surprised by how the vegetation here has adapted to the extreme drought. Plant leaves are at least a millimeter thick with UV-protective layers on the outside. Yet they are able to hold water on the inside.
"These plants may teach us---" This. This is how you get zombies.
been studying root modifications and i would love to see a video about the different root types!!
Tasha, you are my spirit animal. You cover all the freaky plants that I love learning more about.
My dad has a False Rose resurrection plant! Cool that I'm learning more about it today. :3
Sponsor: I wouldn't ever trust such a sponsor even if I had the misfortune of having insomnia or a mania with germs.
5:07 The False Rose of Jericho, not only does it have a badass name but it can come back from the dead and if it doesn't like a certain place it can pack up and leave, that's freakin crazy!
I should hope to look so good after I’m re-animated from death
This plant grew naturally where i live 🥲
This is the blue parrot of the plants
I found a mention of a succulent that uses a structure similar to a fiber-optic cable to conduct sunlight from the surface down to photosynthetic cells buried deeper in sand, thus reducing its above-soil profile. I'd like to know more about the cellular structures involved. Also, the name of the plant! I was thinking Martian fields might be a good place for them to grow.
Fenestria, Frithia, and some of the Haworthia's that have "windows" on their foliage?
Talk about someone who can't stop singing. Now I love to sing.
Imagine brewing tea and the tea comes to life
Some random plant: *Woah! I…I thought you were dead!*
Ressurection Plant: *My death was…greatly exaggerated.*
Loved the video. This is my first 9ne of yours that I've seen. Have subscribed.
Quick note, in Florida, we don't call the Resurrection Fern an "air plant". That is a different kind of epiphyte. Actually, there are more than one species of air plants in Florida. I love our Resurrection Ferns.
Thank you for great info. Saving video to watch again.
That's pretty freaking amazing and I love it to pieces!!! Thank you for the video and I hope we have a great time next time we talk. ❣️🤓
At least they're not zombies!😆
Recently I planted a cherry tree in the ground and some sunflowers I’d like to see an episode on either one of those
Me after watching this video: starts watering all my plants
Dedication and selection plants are awesome.
Please talk about phantom orchids next please!
"TreeFF" I'm dead!
"Plants with sequels" haha I love it.
Cool. Cold weather plants, please. Thanks and love the show.
Love this show!!!
So do they HAVE to dry out to grow or can they live happily without ever drying out?
4:44 can't believe how hard I've been laughing right now, how can I be jumpscared by freaking "LOVE" 💀💀💀
This should have been the plant on the Netflix Korean horror/ period drama “ Kingdom”.
Awesome video
I actually have a resurrection plant! They store water in their centers and are a member of the mustard family!
Great video
YES! I remember the plant from southern western Africa Namibia amazing.
As a native greek speaker I feel for Floralogic having to pronounce all those words with greek names, which probably make no sense to her, but are so obvious to me.
Poikilochlorophyllous? of course I know what it means and I know nothing about plant biology...
It bothers me to hear scientific names pronounced as if they were English when they're Latin or Greek. But then some actually are (at least partly) English, such as Winteraceae.
Very interesting!
Nothing online is "completely confidential" .
You brought up tumbleweeds in this video... Maybe a video on tumbleweeds in the future? :D
I saw another comment suggesting a video on Magroves, so I'll throw my hat in with them!
My yard is like a resurrection plant.
I have this plant at Home.
Thank yoou for Madagascar flora as examples :)
"I'm alive but I'm dead"
I’m not dead yet! I don’t want to go on the cart!
I have this plant, it's awesome....
We have resurrection ferns down in the Lowcountry South Carolina.
Me: Did you die?
Resurrection Plants: Sadly yes, but I LIVED!!!
Resurrection plants are unique and magnificent plants. I would suggest you the genus Ramonda ( nathalie, serbica., myconi), which is also known as resurrection flowering plant. This plant with the species nathalie and serbica, is found in Balkan peninsula, Europe ( Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro and Serbia) and is homoiochlorophyllous, which means that has the ablitiy to mantain their chlorophyll during the dessication period.
Do one on Ariocarpus sp. next
This is so cool
Granted I was listening over traffic, but I don't recall any discussion of the biochemistry here. For those who care, look into trehalose.
A video about Sawgrass please.
PS
Anyone else here also thinks that Tasha must never leave her headquarters?! She has to be there at all times in order to survive.
some how reminds me of the deflatable bodies on the future humans in the novel the third body problem
Can yall do a video on Portulaca Oleracea (Common Purslane)
It's a super cool plant, that is commonly treated as a weed, but it's a nutritious plant, that grows easily.
It's also one of the only known examples of Facultative CAM while also using C4 photosynthesis.
As a succulent, and is a great source of a lot of nutrients!
Also, In general, I think it would be cool if you could cover Facultative CAM in a video! :D
So Awesome.
😄👍
Most plants come back from the dead. TASHA IS THE BEST!
I'd love to see a video on Monotropa uniflora
Mars needs these plants ha ha
Considering my rhapsodic watering habits I defenetly found my greens here what make sense to bring into my flat. :D Anyway these are very special plants.
Nice!
Interesting from floralogic 🔥
I had 2 of these and 1 did die. By overwatering. I didn't know everyone else in the family watered it daily. Smh.
so coool
My mom has many of these some she use them as tea
wow
